Meet Eileen Klaris, who seems to live a charmed life. Only 24 years young, she heads an online business selling handmade perfumes, and is engaged to a wonderful man. She thought she was set for life, until she caught her so-called fiancé trying to sell the business she poured her soul into.

Dreams were shattered, an engagement was broken off, and the only thing left for her to do was board a flight to New York City, where Eileen could turn a new leaf on her life and focus once more on her stagnant business.

It was the perfect plan, until it was all derailed by the handsome Leon Stafford, the president of Stafford’s, the hottest place to shop in the entire country. His fiery eyes, majestically sculpted face, and warm heart drew her in, like a moth to a flame. But, Eileen's cautious, damaged psyche, and Leon's dark, painful past, are just the beginning of the raging storm that strives to stop these two from embracing each another…

An Irresistible Scent is a rollercoaster of ups and downs, about finding love after heartbreak, and exposing the most delicate of vulnerabilities. Discover what it means to put everything on the line, to protect the one you love.

***This steamy little number is a standalone - no cliffhangers! But be advised, because this book is SPICY, with a happy ending for Leon and Eileen to round it all off.***

My Review:

An Irresistible Scent is Farley's debut novel, and it did not disappoint at all. There are twists in the story that made it the much more exciting to read. From the very beginning we get to meet Eileen Klaris, a twenty-four year old whose dream is to become a big name in the perfume business. Ever since she was a child, Eileen wanted to create her own handmade perfumes that when she did that she wanted to make a business out of it. But mixing with the wrong people almost destroyed her dream of a business and of having a family. It all ended the minute her so-called fiance tried to sell her business without telling her. Now after ended her relationship with him, Eileen decides to go to New York in order to start fresh, but little did she know that her flight was going to change forever.

Leon Stafford has it all, the money and the looks to get just about any women he wants. Yet he still struggles to get his dad to truly accept him as head of the Stafford empire. Needless to say, when he meets Eileen on his way to New York, things began to change for him. Now he has decided to offer her the change to work at his company and maybe start something more between the two of them. With pasts coming back to stop the newly couple from moving on with their lives, it is up to Eileen and Leon to figure out if they're actually good for each other or not.

I really enjoyed reading this story, it is evident that the characters have their own pasts to deal with, but the more time they spend with each other the more they start to realize that they could make things work. Eileen is strong character who wants to fight for her future and dreams. She knows that she needs to get out of her town in order to success, and that is exactly what she does. Yet she wasn't expecting to meet someone else right away, and be that attracted to him. Their chemistry is evident from the minute they meet, and it grows throughout the story as well. On the other hand, Leon is a total romantic and handsome guy who really wants to impress Eileen from the start. The very end happened a bit fast for me, but it was still sweet nonetheless. I would still highly recommend picking it up, it will not disappoint. :)
