Series: The Royals of Cordova Book 1

Dependable Crown Princess of Cordova, Gwen, is dreading the day she gives up her life for her country. With the day of coronation looming, Gwen decides to make a bucket list of crazy things she wants to do before the big day. Taking her list, she travels to Las Vegas, a place where no one will question wild behavior and she can be just another normal person on vacation in Sin City. Enlisting the help of Alex, a notorious entitled playboy, she finds herself checking off more than just the items on the list.

Is she willing to risk it all and take a chance at falling in love?

Fiercely independent Alex, the black sheep of his family, was raised in the hotel business. Breaking out on his own, he built a successful Resort and Casino on the strip in Las Vegas. When Gwen asks for Alex’s help on completing her list of ‘bad girl’ activities, he readily accepts. Who else knows how to let loose but the Billionaire Playboy himself?

But as he starts helping her with the list, he begins to realize that this Princess might be worth trading in his ‘bad boy’ image.

My Review:

From the pretty cover to the interesting synopsis, The Crown Princess was such a great read that will definitely leave you wanting for more. Being the first book in The Royals of Cordova series, we are introduced to the family and a bit of the interactions that they have with each other.

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Princess Gwendolyn (Gwen) as she takes on a new role in her life after finding out that she is going to become Queen of Cordova one day. It was definitely not by choice, but her older brothers have made themselves happy by going after their dreams. Gwen on the other hand feels that it’s her job now to take on this new role in her life. Cordova is a small country between the Netherlands and Germany, so this leaves her without much to do. She has been the perfect child growing up and never got in trouble, while her siblings got wild and experienced the world without her. This has made Gwen rethink about her choices and before she becomes queen she wants to do things that she will never get to experience again. That’s when one of her brother’s suggest for her to leave the country and she happens to have an upcoming event in Las Vegas, so what could go wrong in sin city?

As the son of the owner of the prestigious Titan Hotels, Alex Titan was expected to follow his father’s footsteps and be part of the family business. But it was his womanizing ways that got him in trouble for landing on various headlines around the city that his didn’t like. Needless to say, Alex parted ways with the family business and built his own luxurious casino resort, The Crown, that has made him a success. But he wants to expand the business and with the help of his trusted friend, Cooper, Alex wants to make sure he lands the deal before his father does. But he wasn’t expecting to meet Cooper’s mysterious friend at his house and their attraction is instant. They chemistry from the very beginning and as the two start to spend time together, Gwen tells him about the list that she created of all the things she wants to do before she goes back home. So he helps her and he starts realize just how well they fit with each other and he wants to see if they can start a relationship. But there are things that she keeps from him and when the truth comes out they’ll have to decide if they want to create a future together or not.

I very much enjoyed reading The Crown Princess, it was romantic and fun to read. As a dual POV story, we get to see both perspectives and understand the decisions that the characters made throughout the story. Alex was such a swoon character, he was protective and attentive towards Gwen that will leave your heart melting. What I didn’t like as much was how quickly the story rushed to end. I wish the author could have developed the characters better or at least written an extended ending. But it all works out in the end and if you’re looking for a short and sweet book then I would highly recommend reading this book :)
