My Review:

*ARC provided by Netgalley*

When Shay becomes guardian to a baby boy, he sets off to find his ex girlfriend, Juliana Cane and offer her the job that will bring this two ex-lovers back together. As a child psychologist, Juliana is willing to help Shay, as long as he helps her with her career by letting her document his experience as a new father for a parenting book. With nothing to lose, Shay accepts and Juliana moves to his house where she starts teaching him methods on how to become a good father for little Michael. As they start to relieve what they had before they broke up, they both start to wonder if maybe they can give each other a second chance. Everyone has secrets and painful pasts, and these two have suffered ever since they broke up. Juliana marries only to discover that she is unable to carry a baby, so she divorces and dedicates herself to her career in helping others. On the other hand, Shay thrives in his career along side his two best friends, but it is their dream that ends up killing them and living Shay with their baby.

As the story unfolds, it's evident that both Shay and Juliana have a lot to decide and learn. Not only does Shay is learning to become a father, but he is also learning how to let go of the things that he loves the most. Having a rough past with babies, Juliana finds herself able to connect with little Michael and she is able to have what she always wanted to have and that is a baby, at least for a short time. What I liked about the story was seeing how the characters grow and learned from each other. It taught them both how to let go of their past and move forward. I liked the romance and their connection and it made the story that much enjoyable to read. The ending was great and it was very well-written. I would recommend this book to everyone that wants to enjoy a good romance novel about second chances.
