🌟 BOOK BLITZ 🌟 Secret Beast by Amelia Wilde {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

Secret Beast by Amelia Wilde

Release Date: February 23rd 2021 by Dangerous Press
Pages: 350
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

The beast hides a dark secret in his past…

Leo Morelli is known as the Beast of Bishop’s Landing for his cruelty. He’ll get revenge on the Constantine family and make millions of dollars in the process. Even it means using an old man who dreams up wild inventions.

The beauty will sacrifice everything for her family…

Haley Constantine will do anything to protect her father. Even trade her body for his life. The college student must spend thirty days with the ruthless billionaire. He’ll make her earn her freedom in degrading ways, but in the end he needs her to set him free.

SECRET BEAST is a new full-length novel from USA Today bestselling author Amelia Wilde about revenge, family secrets, and the redeeming power of love.

Leo blinks, and his face is transformed. He’s angry, yes—I can see it in the skin around his eyes. But taunting, now. Skin-deep. He uses this anger. He doesn’t just feel it. “It doesn’t matter, darling. What matters is that you signed a contract.”

The backs of my arms pull tight with goose bumps. “I thought we were having dinner.”

“There are no exceptions for meals.” He laughs. “Did you think you would be excused from your obligations as long as you had food in your mouth? Come here.”

He pushes his own chair back, creating space between his body and the table. It’s obvious where I’m meant to go. Two days ago I might have hesitated. Now my feet start moving before the fear can settle down.

It feels too close to the table, and too close to him. He’s tall even when he’s sitting down, and I don’t know what to do with my hands next to this cruel, beautiful devil.

“Take your clothes off.” I reach for the dress. Pull it over my head. The lingerie he bought me is a perfect, delicate fit, and I feel the smallest drafts from the air on my skin. On my nipples. Leo tests one with his thumb and I shiver. “You look better in something other than rags. Do you think,” he muses, “that I meant for you to leave anything on?”

“I thought you might want to take the lingerie off yourself.” Lie, lie, lie. I didn’t think. I just obeyed him, because that’s what I agreed to do. Because I’m too afraid not to. Because I don’t want to admit that part of me is afraid that I want to do what he says. That I get some kind of sick pleasure out of it.

A dangerous grin. “What a good girl. You thought so hard, and you were almost right.” Why? Why does it hurt to hear him be so mean, so mocking, and why do I want him to do it again? “If I have to take it off, then it won’t survive the taking. Do it yourself, and do it now.”

🌟 BLOG TOUR 🌟 Fighting for Someday by M.M. Koenig {EXCERPT}

Release Date: October 31st 2018 by M. M. Koenig Publishing, LLC
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Bri McAndrews is the envy of every girl at Chamberlain and the one every guy wants at their side. What most people don’t know is that there’s so much more to her than the picture-perfect life everyone sees on the surface. Being the daughter of a power-hungry senator has her under constant scrutiny. Even though she’s used to being in the spotlight, it’s becoming harder to meet her father’s expectations. When Trey Donovan stereotypes her as just another spoiled, rich kid, she’s more than determined to show him he’s wrong about her, and she doesn’t care about the consequences it will have for her at home.

After giving the most popular guy in school a beat down he’ll never forget, Trey Donovan becomes more than just the new, all-star quarterback at Chamberlain. He’s the bad boy from the south side every girl is dying to have on their arm. Unfazed by his new popularity, Trey isn’t about to let his guard down. But keeping everyone at a distance becomes a challenge, especially whenever Bri is nearby. She’s way out of his social stratosphere and the one girl he shouldn’t even consider pursuing.

As Bri and Trey grow closer, more than a few vengeful people have a problem with it. Can their budding new relationship survive when so many people are set on keeping them apart?

**This book is a prequel to the Secrets and Lies series.*

I cupped her face. “I’m so sorry. You’ll never know how much. And I’m really sorry for being such an asshole the past few weeks. You deserve so much better than how I’ve treated you. If you give me a chance, I’ll prove to you I’m not a complete jackass.”

Bri wiped the cloth along my collarbone one last time and shut off the water. After seeing the amount of blood on the washcloth, her face turned strikingly white and she looked away. I ran my thumbs along her cheekbones until she focused on me again.

Her chin trembled before she said, “I accept your apology. You need to promise me you’re done fighting. Watching you beat the shit out of Sebastian terrified the hell out of me. I honestly thought you were going to kill him. Promise me you’re done.”

I rested my forehead on hers, ran my thumbs upward to wipe away a few straggling tears, and confessed, “You have no idea how much I wish I could erase tonight and the memories you’ll always have of me because of it. I can’t promise you I’m never going to get into a fight again because that’s just not realistic, but I can promise you I’ll try harder to avoid them. It reminds me of what Coach said to me a few weeks ago. I didn’t listen to him or you, for that matter, but I hear you now and will make sure any battle I take on is worth fighting for.”

More tears streamed down her gorgeous face. “Trey, the next time you think about raising your fists, you need to consider the risks you’re taking. You’re swinging at your future and you have so much going for you. I’m not asking for me. I’m asking for Mia. I truly believe she can’t live without you and that your family can’t either. If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for them.”

“I promise I’ll walk away from the stupid fights, but if someone jeopardizes the safety of my family, friends, or you, I won’t be able to do it. That’s just not who I am. I won’t stand for anyone hurting the people I care about,” I contended, resting our locked hands on my thigh.

A sultry look settled in her wide eyes. Suddenly, it was like I was the only person who could satisfy the want within her. Holy fuck! I couldn’t stop staring at her delicate mouth, desperate to explore it. I was a goddamn idiot for not kissing her before tonight.

🔖 BLOG TOUR 🔖 Fandom Hearts by Cathy Yardley {EXCERPT}

Level Up (Fandom Hearts #1) by Cathy Yardley

Geeky introvert Tessa Rodriguez will do whatever it takes to get promoted to video game engineer– including create a fandom-based video game in just three weeks. The only problem is, she can't do it alone. Now, she needs to strong-arm, cajole, and otherwise socialize with her video game coworkers, especially her roommate, Adam, who’s always been strictly business with her. The more they work together, though, the closer they get…

Adam London has always thought of his roomie Tessa as “one of the guys” until he agreed to help her with this crazy project. Now, he’s thinking of her all the time… and certainly as something more than just a roommate! But his last girlfriend broke up with him to follow her ambitions, and he knows that Tessa is obsessed with getting ahead in the video game world.

Going from friends to something more is one hell of a challenge. Can Tessa and Adam level up their relationship to love?

One True Pairing (Fandom Hearts #2) by Cathy Yardley

They couldn't be more opposite, the Hollywood actor and the hometown girl, but all they need is a little convention magic to become the perfect ship in Cathy Yardley's One True Pairing.

Jake Reese needs a decoy girlfriend. Fast. The lead actor of the popular TV show, Mystics, is tired of losing his shirt to overeager fans. Literally. Which is why a chance meeting with gothabilly bookworm-slash-barista Hailey Frost seems almost too perfect to be true. Hailey is not impressed with his TV fame and is desperate to save her family's bookstore. It's a match made in Hollywood, but as the two pretend to date, fan fiction becomes reality. Can this OTP become canon?

Level Up

“You’re welcome to join us,” he said, although from the sounds of it, he clearly didn’t expect her to. “There will be gaming, some new stuff Abraham’s bringing over. Rumor has it there will be Quidditch pong. Whatever that is.”

Tess smiled. “Thanks. I’ll, um, think about it.”
“Just wanted to give you a heads up.” He waved to Ani, then closed the door again.

Tess spun on Ani. “Like our girl here?” she asked. “Really? Really?”

Ani grinned wickedly. “If that guy was in the house with me,” she said, “I’d ride him like a ten-speed.”

Tessa shook her head. “You suck, Ani.”

“I’m sure I would,” Ani purred.

“Perv,” Tess said, finally laughing. “Anyway, I’m not going after Adam.”

“Fine,” she relented. “But I’m serious, Tess. When you decide you want something, you go for it. I know how hard it was for you to pay for college, and get the degree, and get the job. I know you’ll get your goal of being an engineer, if you want it badly enough. You are relentless.”

“Thanks,” Tess said, warming at her friend’s support.

“But it won’t be enough,” Ani continued. “You need more people, more connection, even as an introvert. If you won’t be that dedicated about getting into a relationship, at least broaden your circle. I worry about you.” She smiled sadly. “Maybe you should put some of that focus on people, not just programming. For your own sake.”

“I’ll be okay, but thanks.” Tess smiled.

“Promise me you’ll go hang out at that party a bit.”

Tessa’s smile dropped. “Wait, what?”

"Seriously. Promise me you'll go down to that party. I will check up on you and hassle you mercilessly when I see you, and I’ll know if you didn’t. You suck at lying.”

Tessa rolled her eyes. "Fine," she said. Ani had called her relentless, but Tessa knew better. Ani could out-relentless Genghis Khan.

"But don’t go wearing that," Ani added.

Tessa looked down at her T-shirt—something she'd gotten from The Bloggess, with the statement: Feeling Stabby. "Why? What's wrong with this?"

"If I have to explain it, you won't understand," Ani said. "Wear something that puts the goods on display, okay?"

"I'm an A cup. I don't have goods."

"Just wear something that looks like you meant to wear it!" Ani groused. "And would it kill you to wear makeup?"

"I am not wearing makeup to play Quidditch pong."

Ani paused. "Good point. All right. Go forth, get your flirt on. And report back."

He quirked a brow, that intense gaze of his turning unsettling as he stared down at me. "No," he said, his lip twisting with the words. My pulse quickened, sensing that small hint of something that lurked beneath the surface. With a glance at the man standing next to the walkway up to and around the falls, I looked back to Rafael with a flare of my nostrils and purse of my lips.

I huffed in disbelief as I shook my head and fought back the surge of emotions within me. I'd been so fucking stupid to think he understood that my fear came from a place of trauma. From something not so easily overcome. Leaning into his space, I laid down the challenge I knew probably wasn't my smartest move.

But something in the cruel set of his eyes made me want to defy him.

Something in the excited parting of his lips told me he wanted that too.

"Fuck this," I snarled, turning on my heel and yanking my wrist out of his grip. Hiking my purse up on my shoulder, I strode down the road we'd entered in on and made for the main street. Once I had enough distance and found a safe place to settle, I'd call Hugo to come and get me.

But I'd be damned if I would get in that water with him.

"You don't want to walk away from me, Princesa," Rafael murmured at my back. The words crawled up my spine, insidious and menacing enough to halt me in my tracks, and I turned back to glare at him.

I swallowed my nerves, pushing down the budding fear that he brought with his carefully crafted words. Rafe could be terrifying when he wanted to be.

I just wasn't sure if the frightening face was the mask, or if it was what really waited beneath the charming demeanor he gave me in all the other moments.

"And why is that?" I asked, pressing my lips together and turning back around to hide the slight tremble in them. He was the kind of man my grandmother warned me about with her stories. The temptation and lure of evil spirits, as they resided in people who looked just like us.

But evil couldn't look like beauty carved in stone, could it? Even if it did explain why I burned when he touched me.

He stepped closer, until I felt the heat of his body at my back. He reached around me to grab my face and tilt it, so that I stared him in the eye with one of mine. "Because I'll chase you," he murmured, leaning down to touch his lips to my cheek in a slow brush of heat against my skin. His mouth slid up until his nose touched my hair, breathing me in deeply. He hummed just above my ear. "I think the real question is, what will I do when I catch you?"

I swallowed down the saliva in my mouth, clenching my eyes shut as I tried to think of an appropriate response to words like that.

What did one say, when the man she was falling head over heels in love with showed signs of being a monster?

"That isn't funny, Rafe," I whispered, stumbling over my own feet as he turned my body to face him. His hand gripped my hair harshly, tipping my head back until I met his unyielding gaze.

"Am I laughing, Princesa?" I shook my head slightly, wincing when his grip didn't relent. "I promise you, I am far scarier than whatever you think lurks in that fucking water."

He released me as suddenly as he'd grabbed me, taking a few steps away before he paused and looked back at where I stood, rooted to my spot and staring at him in horror. I looked to the road, watching as the man who stood guard puffed up his chest and stood a little taller.

It felt like I'd walked into a trap, and still didn't understand even the basics of what it would mean for me.

A cage without walls. A pressing force on my chest.

"Don't do it," Rafael warned me, drawing my attention back to him. He held out a hand, waiting for me to take it. It was a test, I realized, as he forced me to decide my next move then and there. "I like it when you tell me no," he murmured, making my breath freeze in my lungs as he tilted his head to the side and studied me. "I think I'll like it when you fight me, too.”

🔖 REVIEW BLITZ 🔖 Hold the Forevers by K.A. Linde

Hold the Forevers by K.A. Linde

Release Date: February 23rd 2021
Pages: 430
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

A new angsty stand alone love triangle romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde that will keep you guessing which man is her groom and which one objects…

I’m in love with two men.

But I can only marry one.

And today is my wedding day.

The bridesmaids button my wedding dress. They titter excitedly as the music begins. My groom is waiting for me. I walk down the aisle prepared to say I do. All according to plan.

Except for the shout from the back of the room, “I object!”

I should have known it couldn’t be that easy. After fourteen years of push and pull, neither of them is going to let me go. We’re a trio that should have never been. Me and Cole and Ash. One that I’m to marry and one that

I’m to leave behind.

Now, once and for all, I have to choose: my groom or the man objecting?

But until then…hold the forevers.

My Review:

K.A. Linde delivers a gripping love triangle romance that is going to keep you guessing until the very end.

The story starts off with a wedding and it’s with one man objecting that changes everything for Lila Greer. She knows that she has to marry one, even if she is in love with both of them. Then we go back in time, where she is in college and meets Cole Davis. He represents her present, gives her hope for a new beginning after recovering from a bad break up. Cole is there for her when she needs him and she sees herself being with him in the future. But then she is reminded that her past is right behind her as she gets a text from the one that broke her heart, Ash Talmadge. Having met in high school, she wasn’t expecting for the popular guy at school to notice her, until he does. His family might be wealthy, but he never makes her feel any less and their love for classic books is just one of the many things that they have in common. He is her first and Lila wonders if he might just be her forever as well. As years go by, it will take a turn of events for Lila to finally make a decision that will change all three of their lives forever.

I don’t tend to gravitate to love triangle romances often, but when I read the synopsis of this book I was hooked. Having read other books by Linde before, I knew that she was going to deliver a story full of substance and all the feels! She was able to create a relatable story and as readers we are able to see how Ash and Cole change her life at different points in time. There is a lot of back and forth when it comes to time in the story that was a bit difficult to keep track of in the beginning, but I got used to it very quick. It’s because of the strong feelings that she has developed for both of them that she has trouble deciding who is the best for her. It’s a rollercoaster of events that make her see who is right for her at the very end. It all happens really fast, that I wish the one she rejected would have fought back, but at the same time her decision does makes sense at the end. Overall, I was happy to read the extra epilogue, Hold On Forever, it truly brings everything to a full circle and it makes the story so much better. I would highly recommend checking out Hold the Forevers and any other books by the author, you will not regret it. :)

**I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.**

My Rating: 4.5/5

🌟 RELEASE BLITZ 🌟 The Crush by Penelope Ward

The Crush by Penelope Ward

Release Date: February 22nd 2021
Pages: 320
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone, second-chance story of forbidden love…

It’s natural to want the one you can’t have. And for as long as I could remember, I’d secretly wanted my brother’s best friend, Jace.

He was six years older and always treated me like the sister he never had.

Fast forward a decade.

We were all in our twenties now. Jace had moved in with my brother, Nathan, and me to help us make ends meet after our parents died.

It was just the three of us—an odd family dynamic.

Living under our roof, Jace was as bossy and protective as ever.

But he certainly didn’t look at me like a sister anymore. That was what made things so complicated.

I was pretty much hot and bothered twenty-four-seven.

And he was torn.

The signs were subtle, at first. Like on movie night, I’d casually rest my leg against his, and he wouldn’t exactly shift away.

Still, I assumed he would never…go there.

Nathan would kill us.

The knowledge of that wasn’t enough to stop the inevitable, though.

Eventually our slow burn exploded.

But more than the physical attraction, we’d developed a strong connection.

We just couldn’t get caught, right?

That sounded simple.

Until it wasn’t.

This is a story of forbidden love, broken trust, and an unexpected second chance.

Penelope Ward is a New York Times, USA Today and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author of contemporary romance.

He must accept his new fate and life before being killed, letting the Magical Community fall into the wrong hands. Can Jameson put his hatred aside or will he let his prejudice destroy them all?

“Who are you?” I stammered, trying to sound more confident than I felt. The guy was still walking toward me, weaving his way through the students and staff frozen in place.

“I’m Terin,” The guy said, as he came to stop in front of me. “What do you want?” I asked.
I winced.

“Me? What do you want with me?”
“Wow, you really don’t know who I am, do you?”
“I’m Terin.”
“You said that.”
“I did, but you didn’t ask the right question. So whose fault is that?”
I glanced around me, more than a little confused. I finally shrugged.
“It’s yours. Now that’s two things you’re responsible for.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“I mean you didn’t ask the right question and you also froze everyone in this

school. See? One. Two.”
My mouth dropped open. I stood there staring for what felt like ages. Terin

stood there, with his hands behind his back, calmly waiting for me to get over my shock. He finally cleared his throat and I shook my head. He rocked slightly on his heels.

“What are you playing at? I didn’t freeze everyone here. Only a witch would be able to do something like this and witches aren’t allowed on these grounds,” I said. I glared at him, wanting him to leave. I didn’t want to hear what he had to say.

“Oh, Jameson. You really don’t know anything about witches, do you?” Terin said, shaking his head. I let out a bark of laughter.

“I know everything I need to - they’re vile, freaks of nature and they should be exterminated. Why would I need to know anything else?” I spat.

“Well, for one thing, it’ll help you learn how to control the power you just sent ricocheting throughout your entire school. For another, it’ll help you actually be productive in your new classes,” Terin finished.

He waved his hand around us, gesturing to everyone who stood silently and unmoving. He turned back to me, where I was silently freaking out. I didn’t want to be here anymore.

“I didn’t do anything.”

“Sure you did. When you released your anger in that little temper tantrum, you sent out your power. You were able to send a shock wave through your entire school and freeze everyone here. Must have been really pissed about something to have frozen that many people with your first spell. Quite impressive really,” Terin looked around at the people standing around us, looking mildly amused.

“I don’t understand,” I shook my head, still not connecting the dots. Terin sighed and said the three words that ruined my entire life: “You’re a witch.”

If Caitlin Ryan had known Pops’ grandsons in Colorado were freaking hot with an equal amount of irritating traits, she’d picked another place to overthink her life. Adam Mills, the oldest brother of the family that agreed to take her in, has an unnerving sexy confidence and overall hotness. And the former snowboard star has his eyes set on her.

As an Olympic gold medalist on the half-pipe, Adam Mills has seen and done it all before. He's finally ready to give his heart to a woman and settle down. But can Adam win over Caitlin's heart?

Welcome to Winter Peaks, Colorado! A small tourist town where all year round, people come and go to enjoy the mountains. But the families of the Winter Peaks series have made the town their home.

ღ Small town romance

ღ Strong heroine & steamy alpha man

ღ Funny, relatable family members

ADAM is book one in the Winter Peaks series about the ups and downs of several families in a small tourist town in Colorado. The series is a spin-off of the sweet and sexy Lucky Irish series, about several close-knit families in Austin, Texas.

Each book is an interconnected standalone. As we read a new sexy romance, we can also catch up with favorite characters throughout the series.

Although the heroine, Caitlin, comes from the Lucky Irish series, it's not required to read those books first.

This book can be read as a standalone.

“Here, let me help you.” Adam leaned over her shoulder and secured her. His closeness did wonders for her nerves. “We can go together? Maybe that would make you more comfortable?”

She shot a glance at the zipline. “Can we?”

“Sure.” Adam made work of clasping their clips to the next lanyard. He stepped to the end of the platform, turned around and squatted with his ass partially hanging over the platform.

“Hop on,” he said on a wink.

“Oh, my God. You can’t be serious?”

“Yeah, Cait, I am. If you want to go together, you must straddle me.”

Her eyes widened. Adam laughed and said, “Ah, come on. Bring those pretty titties to my face.”

She busted out laughing at his way with words. “Geez. Such a sweet talker.”

He joined her laugh and after a beat he said, “I promise you’ll enjoy the ride…”

“I’m going to hop on, just to shut you up.”

Caitlin straddled his tree trunk thighs and held herself stiffly in an upright position.

With one hand, he swooped her closer to him. So close, she felt him. There.

Her body tingled all over and her palms got sweaty again.

His breath caressed her throat. Caitlin almost let a moan slip from her mouth. She quickly coughed to cover the sound.

“Just sit back and relax. Let me do all the work,” he said with the biggest grin she’d seen.

“I bet you say that to all the girls,” she laughed, but the hint of truth to those words also pained her.
