🌟 BOOK BLITZ 🌟 The Run Around by Bernadette Franklin {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

The Run Around by Bernadette Franklin

Release Date: April 28th 2020 by Pen & Page Publishing
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Contemporary, Romance

Arranging a wedding for her brother and a five-time thoroughbride tests Hope’s skills and patience. She’d believed the vows would be the most dangerous part of the ceremony, but a baseball to the head during the photography session proves her wrong and lands her in the sights of her brother’s best friend, Fredrick.

He wants her to plan his wedding.

She wants to be his bride.

Diving into the treacherous world of wedding planning, Hope keeps her word and arranges the vows for the one man she believes she could love. He doesn’t know how much she cherishes him and his friendship.

What she doesn’t know lands her in the heart of a royal mess.

Luckily for me, the blow had been a graze, it hadn’t hit anything important, and I figured the only reason I bled was thanks to one of the dumbass clips taming my hair.

I wanted to keep the wedding disasters to the things I hadn’t planned for. A baseball to the head counted, but it wouldn’t kill me.

I hoped.

Some risks were worth taking, and I’d have to remind my brother later I loved him that much.

A call to Wolfgang would fix my ruined dress and makeup problem, but I hesitated. Telling him what had happened would result in well-earned mockery. I retrieved my phone from its cleavage prison to discover it still had some life left in it. Dialing his number worsened my headache.

The rest of the day would suck, but I would make it through somehow.

“What went wrong?” Wolfgang answered.

“I took a stray baseball to the head. I need your makeup skills and my reception dress. Help a woman out? Please? I’m not above begging at this point.”

“A baseball? To the head? How did that happen? Are you all right? If you were hit with a baseball—”

“Don’t you even dare suggest I go to the hospital.”

Wolfgang sighed. “What happened?”

“Fate, karma, the universe, or whatever you want to call it, wishes I would die already. I fell into the pond. I bet I’ll make the front page. Who knows? Maybe someone caught the whole thing on video. I might go viral.”

The groan on the other end of line promised Wolfgang was at the end of his rope, too. “Your brother must be freaking out.”

“Ben’s keeping him busy taking pretty pictures to immortalize the day I almost drowned in the botanical gardens pond.”

“Where were you hit?”

“It was a graze off the side of my head. My hair should hide any bumps. The bleeding stopped.”

“Are you dizzy, have a headache, or feel ill?”

I suspected once I tried to get up and walk around, I would be dizzy. I wasn’t a fan of my own head right now, and I could be honest about otherwise being all right. Unfortunately, if I lied, he would know it. He always knew. “Maybe.”

“I’ll be there in twenty. I’ll bring the dress and your makeup, but you’re going to the hospital before the reception. If you go to the reception.”

“I am not.”

“You are, because I am taking you there.”

πŸ”– REVIEW BLITZ πŸ”– The Hating Season by K.A. Linde

The Hating Season by K.A. Linde

Release Date: April 28th 2020
Series: Seasons #2
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

A new stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

Court Kensington is a thorn in my side.

I’m hired to clean up his badboy image, which would’ve been easy if my life wasn’t falling apart.

First, I catch my movie star husband having an affair with his co-star. Then when I return to work, my job is at stake, because Court has gotten himself into trouble...again.

Instead of getting him back in line, I find myself falling for his charm. And into his bed. And against the wall. And, and, and…

Except Kensington charm shouldn’t work on me. Not when I’ve sworn to never ever sleep with a client.

I had good intentions.
I really did.
But we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

My Review:

Hollywood meets the Upper East Side in The Hating Season, the second book in the Season Series by K.A. Linde. We meet Court Kensington in the Cruel Trilogy, the bad boy of the Upper East Side will leave you swooning and wanting for more in this enemies-to-lovers romance.

Anna English thought she had everything under control, her marriage to the biggest up-and-coming movie start and her job as L.A’s sought-after publicist. Then she got offered to work for the Kensingtons and she saw this as an opportunity to step into New York high society by working for a political candidate. But it all comes crumbling down when she finds out that her husband is having an affair with his co-start and to make things worse, Court Kensington has gotten into trouble yet again. It’s her job to keep him out of trouble and she will do whatever it takes to clean up his bad boy image. Little did she know that spending time with Court would prove to be a while ride full of secrets, betrayal and a forbidden romance that will leave her questioning everything that she has worked for.

Court Kensington has it all, the looks and wealth to get him just about anything or anyone he could possibly want. This often ends up leading him into trouble and for this reason his mother hires Anna to keep in line. So that Court doesn’t ruin his mom’s reelection campaign for mayor of New York. Yet, no matter how much he hates having a babysitter, he can’t seem to stay away from her. She is feisty and is able to command a room including his attention. She has a strict rule to never sleep with a client and he intends to change her mind even if it means letting her see the real him.

I absolutely loved this story! Linde delivers an incredibly seductive page-turner in The Hating Season. Court is seen as the reckless bad boy whose sweet side not a lot of people get to see. He is part of a very powerful family which makes him a magnet for those that want him for his money and we get to see how that has affected him. On the other hand, Anna has been through a lot growing up and that has made her who she is today. She is a cutthroat publicist whose talent has made her the best in Hollywood. It’s when she arrives to New York that her life starts to change and the moment she crosses the line with Court, does she realize that he might just be her forever.

Told in duel POV, the story is set in the glamour of the Upper East Side. The chemistry between the characters is sizzling the minute they meet and as the story unfolds we get to see big changes between them. Having cameos from previous characters made the story standout a lot more and I couldn’t put it down. The ending will leave you swooning for the characters! I highly recommend checking out the book. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. :)

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

The Billionaire Deal
by Lori Ryan

Series: 242
Pages: The Sutton Billionaires #1
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

He needed a wife on paper, she needed a way to pay for school. Neither bargained for the danger their marriage-of-convenience brought on.

CEO Jack Sutton isn't about to be backed into a corner by the stipulations of his mother's will. She might have wanted to be sure he was married by the time he was thirty, but that doesn't mean he needs to give in. As the head of a powerful venture capital firm, there’s one thing he’s learned. There’s always a way around anything standing in his way. This marriage clause is no exception.

Kelly Bradley got into the law school of her dreams, but the financial aid she was counting on didn’t come through. When she finds out Jack Sutton is looking for a wife in name only, she propositions him to get the funding she needs. What could be the harm in linking herself to a well-respected businessman for a year? It’s not like he’s hard to look at or tough to be around.

But will her fix end up costing a whole lot more than either she or Jack had bargained for? When her life is on the line, Jack finds himself racing to save the woman he's fast losing his heart to.

Steamy romance meets heart-stopping suspense in the Sutton Billionaires Series. This is the first book in the series but it can be read as a standalone story with no cliffhangers. A shorter version of this book was previously released as part of the Sutton Capital Series (Jack and Kelly's story).

🌟 RELEASE BLITZ 🌟 My Favorite Souvenir by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland

My Favorite Souvenir by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland

Release Date: April 27th 2020 by C. Scott Publishing Corp.
Pages: 300
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

From New York Times New Bestselling authors Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

My planned trip for two unexpectedly turned into a trip for one. Rather than let my breakup get me down, I packed my bags and decided a week at a luxury resort was just what I needed.

But one calamity after the next, and suddenly I was stuck without a hotel room, along with a few hundred other people.

It looked like my fancy vacation was about to turn into me sleeping on the hotel lobby floor.

Until I overheard a gorgeous man pretending to be someone he wasn’t in order to steal a reservation from a guest who hadn’t shown up yet.

When I realized there were two rooms, instead of calling him out, I pretended to be his sister. That’s how the story of “Milo and Maddie Hooker” began.

We were the Hookers.

My depressing trip quickly made a U-turn into an adventure.

My fake brother spent the next few days showing me around his hometown. When it was time to leave, neither of us really wanted to go yet.

So, instead of flying back to our respective homes, we ventured on a road trip.

At every stop, we’d pick up souvenirs.

But as hot as our chemistry was, we never crossed the line.

Milo knew I’d just come out of a tough relationship and didn’t want to mess with a vulnerable woman.

So instead, at the end of our trip, we made a pact to meet again in three months.

It was always my intention to meet him.

But when I got back home, reality hit in a big way.

And I worried I may have lost my handsome stranger forever.

Was there a place for him in my future?

Or had the memory of him just become my favorite souvenir?

🌟 BLOG TOUR 🌟 The Best Mistake by Cookie O'Gorman {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

The Best Mistake by Cookie O'Gorman

Release Date: April 23rd 2020
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Honor Tierney just wants one night with the playboy.

One hot, steamy, meaningless hookup, and then she'll happily go back to reading her favorite books, studying to be an accountant and writing for the campus-paper-nobody-reads. Too bad she ends up in the wrong bed, with the wrong brother…who gives her the hottest night of her life.

Archer O'Brien just wants to play ball.

Well that, and for his brothers to stop acting out, so he won't have to worry 24/7. As the oldest O'Brien and team captain, it's his duty to make sure they don't drink too much, party too much, or get in too much trouble. But when she walks into his bedroom—mistaking him for his brother—life throws him a curveball.

She's determined to guard her heart. He's not giving up.

And when Honor gets assigned to cover the Wolves baseball team, it's game on.

This new adult sports romance features one hot (and hilarious) case of mistaken identity and a sexy set of brothers guaranteed to make you swoon.

Sometimes, the best mistakes are worth making.

"Good," he repeated and took a step toward me. I took one back, matching him step for step, until I felt my shoulders rest against cool metal. "You think I look good?"

I nodded. "You know you do."

If I was being honest, Archer looked more than good in that suit. He was every woman's dream personified. Or maybe that was just me.

"Now, I feel underdressed," I said.

His hand came up to my cheek. "No, you look perfect."

I raised my brows, trying to keep it light even though all I could think of were his fingers running along my skin. "You probably didn't even notice what I'm wearing."

Without looking away, Archer said, "Dark blue sweater, red t-shirt that says, 'All I do is read, read, read, no matter what,' jeans that fit you like a glove, red sneakers."

My jaw dropped.

"I notice you, Honor."

"You do?"

He nodded, his eyes dropping to my lips. "How could I not?"

If I wasn't already melting, that turned me into a puddle, my heart stuttering behind my ribs. He could've asked me anything right then, and I think I would've said yes. Without any forethought, I leaned up onto my tiptoes and pressed my lips to his.

Like Archer had said: How could I not?

🌟 BOOK BLITZ 🌟 A Touch of Ruin by Scarlett St. Clair {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

A Touch of Ruin by Scarlett St. Clair

Release Date: April 23rd 2020
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance

Persephone’s relationship with Hades has gone public and the resulting media storm disrupts her normal life and threatens to expose her as the Goddess of Spring.

Hades, God of the Dead, is burdened by a hellish past that everyone’s eager to expose in an effort to warn Persephone away.

Things only get worse when a horrible tragedy leaves Persephone’s heart in ruin and Hades refusing to help. Desperate, she takes matters into her own hands, striking bargains with severe consequences.

Faced with a side of Hades she never knew and crushing loss, Persephone wonders if she can truly become Hades’ queen.

Persephone took her wine and purse into the bedroom. Dropping her bag on the bed, she moved into the bathroom and turned on the shower. As the water heated, she sipped on her wine before setting the glass aside so she could unzip her dress.

She paused when she felt Hades’ magic surround her. It was a distinct feeling—a tinge of winter on the air. She closed her eyes and prepared to vanish. It wouldn’t be the first time Hades had taken her to the Underworld without any notice, but instead, a hand touched beneath her chin and lips closed over hers. He kissed her like they hadn’t made love into the early hours of the morning, and when he pulled away, Persephone was breathless, the stress of her day forgotten.

Hades palm was warm against her cheek, and he brushed her lips with his thumb, dark eyes searching.

“Troubled, darling?”

She narrowed her gaze, suspicious.

“You followed me today, didn’t you?”

Hades didn’t even blink. “Why would you think that?”

“You insisted Antoni take me to work this morning, most likely because you already knew what the media was reporting.”

Hades shrugged. “I didn’t want to worry you.”

“So you let me walk into a mob?”

He raised a knowing brow. “Did you walk into that mob?”

“You were there!” She accused. “I thought we agreed. No invisibility.”

“I wasn’t,” he answered. “Hermes was.”

Damn you, Hermes.

She’d forgotten to extract a promise from the God of Mischief not to tell Hades about the crowd. He’d probably waltzed into Nevernight with a smile on his face to report what happened.

“You could always teleport,” Hades offered. “Or I can provide an Aeg—”

“I don’t want an Aegis,” she stopped him. “And I’d rather not use magic the Upperworld.”

“Unless you’re exacting revenge?”

“That’s not fair. You know my magic has become more and more unpredictable. And I’m not eager to be exposed as a goddess.”

“Goddess or not, you are my lover.”

She didn’t mean to, but she wasn’t a fan of that word. She stiffened, and she knew by the way Hades’ eyes narrowed, he had noticed.

He continued, “It is only a matter of time before someone with a vendetta against me tries to harm you. I will keep you safe.”

Persephone shivered. She hadn’t thought about that.

“You really think someone would try to harm me?”

“Darling, I have judged human nature for a millennium. Yes.”

“Can’t you…I don’t know…erase people’s memories? Make them forget about all of this.” She waved her hand between them.

“It is too late for that,” he paused a moment and then asked, “What is so terrible about being known as my lover?”

“Nothing,” she said quickly. “It’s just...that word.”

“What’s wrong with lover?”

“It sounds so…fleeting. Like I am nothing but your sex slave.”

One corner of his lips curled. “What am I to call you, then? You have forbidden the use of my queen and my lady.”

“Titles make me…uncomfortable,” she said.

She wasn’t sure how else to explain why she’d asked him not to call her my queen or my lady, but it added up to the fact that they were two labels she could get used to, and that meant she was setting herself up for potential disappointment. The thoughts made her guilty, but the echoes of the heartbreak she’d experienced while they were separated made her cautious.

“It’s not that I don’t want to be known as your lover…but there has to be a better word.”

“Girlfriend?” Hades supplied.

She couldn’t suppress the laugh that tore from her throat.

“What’s wrong with girlfriend?” He asked, glowering.

“Nothing,” she said quickly. “It just seems so…insignificant.”

Their relationship was too intense, too passionate, too ancient for her to merely be his girlfriend.

But maybe that was just how she felt.

The tension eased from Hades’ features, and he drew his finger under her chin.

“Nothing is ever insignificant when it comes to you,” he said.

They stared at each other, and the air was heavy. Persephone itched to reach for him—to bring his lips to hers, to taste him. All she had to do was close the gap between them and they would ignite—fall so deep in their passion, nothing would exist beyond their skin.

Scarlett St. Clair lives in Oklahoma with her husband. She has a Master's degree in Library Science and Information Studies and spends a lot of time researching reincarnation, unsolved murders and Greek mythology-all of which made it into her debut novel, When Stars Come Out.
