Avery Yeung’s biological clock just went off early. Thanks to her family’s medical history, she’s running out of time to get knocked up. And the only guy within donating distance? Her overprotective—and irritatingly hot—best friend. So clearly she needs an anonymous donor…
Anonymous donor? Over Sheriff Drew Flannery’s dead body. While daddyhood will never be in the cards for a man with his past, Drew won’t let Avery shop for a “popsicle pop.” He’ll do what’s right for his best friend by doing his best friend. But only if they do it properly.
But there’s nothing “proper” about it. Between the bed, the kitchen counter, and against his squad car, Avery and Drew are having the hottest sex ever. They can’t get enough of it—or each other. And without knowing it, they’ve crossed the one line that could ruin their friendship forever…

My Review:
In this particular story, we meet Avery Yeung, whose genetic history leaves her no other choice but to start making hard decisions including the possibility of having a baby. But just when she started to make plans to have a baby without a partner, her best friend, Sheriff Drew Flannery, decides to intervene in her plans by stepping in as her sperm donor. Yet there is no denying the connection and the chemistry that they have, and soon their plans to “make a baby” turn to something more. As the two start to get closer in the romantic level, there are also things that start to get in the way of their happiness, including Avery's family.
There were a lot of things that I personally liked about the book, like I mentioned before there is the instant chemistry between Avery and Drew. Avery is one those characters that wants to do the right for her family, and she is willing to do anything to get their approval. On the other hand, Drew is overprotective, and caring. He is the ultimate character in the book, he wants to do the right thing by Avery, yet he hides his feelings for her throughout the book. Overall, the story was well-written and I enjoyed reading it. If you're looking for the perfect friendship to romance type of story, then I highly recommend you give this book a try. :)
