Because no one will know me, right? One night. No names. No faces. It should have ended there. I had no idea that the handsome, enigmatic man would turn out to be my new employer.

Roman: After the masquerade, I searched for the girl who’d crashed my party, only to find her in my office a few months later. I can’t fire her because she’s the best assistant I’ve ever had, but I can’t stop wanting her in my bed either.

My Review:

Having read and enjoyed The Rebel Queen Duet, I just knew that I had to read Rourke’s story after and it didn’t disappoint at all. The Exiled Prince is the perfect steamy and swoon worthy romance that will hook you from beginning to end.

At the beginning we are introduce to Rourke Donahue, a twenty-six year old personal assistant to her best friend, Every. Having known each other for so long, she is sad to part ways so that her friend can move to the other side of the world with her new husband. This leaves Rourke with a lot of uncertainty as she will have to move out on her own and start a new life. On their last night together, Everly invites her to a masquerade ball, but without an invitation Rourke is ready to crash the exclusive event.

The ball is supposed to be a way for people to be themselves and the use of their real names is again the rules. With one night to herself, she decides to let go of any insecurities and be herself. She dances the night away and she attracts the attention of a mysterious men. She hard heard of Prince Menshikov and has been wanting to see him in person, and her mysterious guy might just be the exiled prince. Yet, without names it is hard to tell who he is, but she is ready to just be and they end up hooking up. Rourke decides to leave that night in the past and when she goes home. With absolutely no luck when it comes to finding a job, she gets referred to the Blue Sapphire Group who happen to need an assistant for the head of the company. Little did she know that her boss would turn out to be her mysterious man. Now Rourke has to decide if she wants to leave their night in the past or fight for a future with him.

Roman Menshikov has the money and the status to get him any woman he could possibly want. Yet, after the masquerade ball he couldn’t stop thinking about his mysterious stranger and has since then searched for her without any luck. No one has ever gone against his word like her and he wants to make her his no matter what. But he has been kept busy with his work and ex that has made him frustrated. His assistants have all quit and he can’t keep going through them all the time. So he is surprised to see a new assistant at his beck and call. Though he is too busy ordering her around, he comes to an abrupt awakening when he figures out that his mysterious girl has been working for him all along. Roman knows that he has pissed her off and wants to make things right with her. But she is his employee and there are too many secrets that could threaten a future with her if he doesn’t do anything about them.

I absolutely loved reading The Exiled Prince! Jeana E. Mann did a great job creating a story full of lust and passion between the characters. It was truly electrifying! I found myself loving Roman, he is a truly a guy any girl would want to be with. He is protective, yet caring at the same time. On the other hand, Rourke is feisty and courageous. She is not afraid to speak her mind and I loved that about her. They are opposites who attract and their chemistry is sizzling. There are a lot of things that the characters go through in the book and they grew as the story progressed. They had to trust and rely on each other in order to have a future together. Rourke sees what kind of man Roman is and she has truly met her match. The ending was sweet, though there are things that could have been explained a little bit more. I’m happy to see that there is a new book in the trilogy. I would highly recommend checking out this book and any other by the author, you will not regret it! :)
