My Review:

Moreland delivers a wholesome romance between a firefighter and an IT specialist in My Favorite Hero. As the third book in the My Favorite Hero Series, this second chance romance will pull at your heartstrings and never let go.

Everything chances the minute Jesse Thorne receives a call to the firefighter station that changes the course of his life forever. With his unwanted tenant on its way to Covington, Jesse is shocked to see a very good looking woman hanging from his window trying to get into his house. He wasn’t expecting for a woman to be his surprise roommate, after all the previous owner made it clear to him that she would only sell the house if he rented the other half to a KC, not a Casey. Jesse is used to being a loner, liking his own company rather than being surrounded by people. So when Casey starts to change things to her side of the house and not follow his rules, it brings out the grumpy side of him to its fullest. It doesn’t help that she is incredibly smart and beautiful. She is a strong independent woman ready to break down every wall around his heart too. Neither of them wants to be in a relationship, they’ve been hurt in the past, but once they cross the line of no return they are able to see just how perfect they can be together.

I absolutely loved reading the banter and the steamy scenes between the characters had me rooting for them until the very end. They are just too funny together, Casey clearly knows what she is doing when she tries to push Jesse’s buttons. He tries to put his foot down, but Casey seems to be the only one to know how to melt his heart. It’s evident that their pasts are a huge part of the reason why they’ve chosen to not be in a relationship. So when their pasts come back to hunt them, they are able to lean on each other and understand what the other one is going through. They’ve been given a second chance, they just have to learn to accept their growing feelings for one another. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book and any other by the author. You will not regret it and the epilogue will leave you wanting for more!

My Rating:

Meet Melanie Moreland:

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a
quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of twenty-seven-plus years and their rescue cat,
Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent
with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and
technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample.
She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is
always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck
of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her
own feet.) She’s learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
