🔖 REVIEW BLIZ 🔖 Morally Black Elopement by Nicole French

Morally Black Elopement by Nicole French

Release Date: May 11, 2026
Pages: 455
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

One night in Vegas. One drunken vow. One surprise husband.

I don’t drink. I don’t date.
And I definitely don’t wake up married.

Ronan Black—A.K.A the stranger in my bed—is everything I don't need.

He’s a morally bankrupt charm offensive with trouble written all over his chiseled face.

I’m the good daughter, the responsible best friend, the person who never makes bad decisions.

Now, one night in Vegas just turned into a lifetime of consequences when I wake up in Ronan’s bed…with his ring on my finger.

Because he wants it to stay there.

Maybe even for good.

It’s a bad idea. The worst.

His plan is simple: stay married long enough for him to take control of his company and for me to keep mine afloat.

It’s not fake…but it’s not exactly legitimate either.

So why am I starting to think this ridiculous marriage could actually work?

Ronan might be morally gray, but he’s also becoming the only man I trust.

But do these strange feelings go both ways?

When his corrupt world forces him to pick, will Ronan choose his billions?

Or will he choose us?

MORALLY BLACK ELOPEMENT is the second standalone novel in the Morally Black Weddings series. Tropes inside: woke up married, bad boy/good girl, opposites attract, marriage of convenience, and black-hearted hero meets no-nonsense heroine.

Warning: Contains questionable decisions, shameless flirting, and a hero who’ll convince you bad boys are worth the risk.

My Review:

French delivers a steamy marriage of convenience romance in Morally Black Elopement. What happens in Vegas ended up changing the lives of two unlikely individuals in the second book in the Morally Black Series. A definite must-read!

What would have been a fun bachelorette weekend in Vegas for Laney Fisher and her friends ended becoming so much more the minute she wakes up in an unfamiliar hotel room with a wedding ring on her finger. The worse part is that Laney has no recollection how she got married to the sexy and charming stranger. She’s always been the responsible one of the group and does’t spontaneously marry men she randomly meets at bars. But when the smooth-talking stranger kissed her, Laney decided to give in if only for one night. Little did she know that marrying a Black would come with a prize. There is a lot on the line for Laney back home in Seattle, between saving her mother’s fashion business and her own health struggles.

Ronan Black is the complete opposite of her, he is wealthy beyond belief and has a way of getting his way that makes her feel uneasy. Yet, underneath his custom-made suits that Laney sees the real Ronan and how book smart he really is. His love for Greek classics and his humor is what seals the deal for her when he asks her to give their marriage a chance. All while giving her a hefty sum of money in the process and the promise of saving her business after their six month trail. There is a lot on the line, including losing her heart in the process. If there is something that Laney is absolutely positive of is that once Ronan makes up his mind, there is no way to stop him from claiming what is his and he vows to keep her for himself.

I absolutely loved reading Morally Black Elopement! From the intriguing synopsis to the eye-catching cover, this opposites attract romance will have hooked from beginning to end. Ronan Black has always been the fixer of the family, the Blacks command Blackguard Holdings with his dad as the head of the family. There are standards that need to be met to keep appearances among the Boston elite. That is until his oldest brother made the choice to leave the family business. Leaving no choice but to make Ronan his successor. But there is a catch and in order for Ronan to become CEO, he has to marry first. Show the board that he is serious about the company and that he can be a family man.

Marrying in Vegas was not planned, his connection with Laney is real and he can’t seem to stop thinking about her. They agreed to get a divorce first, but he has no intention of letting her go. But omitting the real reason why he needs her is what could end up damaging their chance at a real relationship if he doesn’t tell her the truth. I loved Laney and Ronan together, their connection is magnetic and their love for Greek classics brings them closer. She understands his humor all while seeing the real Ronan. The ending was sweet, I can’t wait to read the next books in the series! I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others by the author. You will not regret it! :)

🔖 REVIEW BLITZ 🔖 Only For Her by Natasha Madison

Only For Her by Natasha Madison

Release Date: May 8, 2026
Series: Only For #4
Pages: 380
Genres: Romance, Contemporary, Sports

He's the youngest coach in the league, and she's your captain's younger sister.

Victoria

Being offered a job in a brand-new city wasn’t something I was planning on.
Neither was meeting him at a random hotel bar that same night.
We shared a drink, flirted, and then one thing led to another.
We exchanged first names, and I escaped the next morning with a quick goodbye.
I never expected to see him again.
I especially never expected him to come face-to-face with him at my brother’s house.
As the new coach of the team.

Zane

I was the youngest coach in the NHL.
I had to focus on one thing and one thing only.
My job.
It’s the only thing I had time for.
Until I came face-to-face with the stranger I thought I would never see again.
She’s off-limits in every sense of the word.
Not just because she’s younger than me.
She’s the sister to my star player.

My Review:

Madison delivers a forbidden hockey romance in Only For Her. As the fourth book in the Only For Series, this steamy romance will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end!

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Victoria Stevenson, who just recently graduated university with a marketing degree. Without really knowing what she wants to do next, Victoria makes a visit to her older brother in California. Not expecting to get a job offer at a foundation that helps women and children leave toxic and abusive families. What starts off as a visit to check on her brother, turns into so much more the minute she meets a stranger at a bar. Their instant connection ultimately brings them closer and the next day, they depart without exchanging numbers. It wouldn’t take long before bumping into Zane again, this time at her brother’s house as the new head coach for the LA Warriors hockey team.

Zane never expected to be made head coach of the LA Warriors so soon, especially when there are others in the team that have been with the team a very long time. Being the youngest coach in the NHL has put him on a spotlight and the pressure to succeed is real. His sole attention should be on trying to get the team to win as much as possible to bring them closer to the Stanley Cup. Yet, his head is on the beautiful woman he met a bar. Winning Zane over with her wit and sarcastic humor. Little did he realized that his life was about to change forever, the minute he gets invited to his captain’s house for dinner and seeing pictures of a very familiar face. Victoria was only supposed to be a one-night stand, but Zane fears that she might take over his heart if he doesn’t put distance between them. She is after all much younger than him and Zane knows that it should make her off-limits. But Victoria has other plans and that is to win him over once and for all.

I really enjoyed reading Only For Her, the characters are relatable and their chemistry is off the charts. It’s clear from the very beginning that they have a strong connection. Zane had no intention of being in a relationship, not when his sole focus should be on keeping his new job. Nevertheless, seeing Victoria again has him rethinking about he really wants and is to be her. But there are obstacles that the two must overcome before they can have their own happily ever after. One of them is to survive telling her brother about them and his intentions with his sister. I loved seeing cameos from previous characters. All in all, the ending was very sweet and I would highly recommend checking out this book and any other by the author. You will not regret it! :)

Meet Natasha Madison:

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the
kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring
kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do
what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
