My Review:
The cover and the synopsis was what immediately attracted me to the book, I knew that I had to read it right away, and let me tell you that it did not disappoint at all. Not having read any other works by the author before, I wasn't sure what to expect of the book as whole, but the minute I started reading the first chapter I couldn't stop reading.
Right from the very beginning we get to meet Quinn Ashby, a college grad that has spent the last four years away from her father and younger sister. Having graduated top of her class, Quinn is looking to gain work experience by getting an internship before getting into Harvard. But things did not go as she expected them when her relationship ended and her plans began to crumble right before her eyes. It was then that Quinn decided to go back to California and to her family just until things could got better. Which brings us back to how the book starts with Quinn and her sister attending a hockey match. It is then that Quinn meets the heartthrob that has fans screaming his name on top of their lungs at the game, Cash Brooks.
It only took one look from Cash to have Quinn questioning what she really wanted, but it is her stubborn personality that tries to resist Cash and that makes her irresistible to him. When she gets an opportunity as the new marketing coordinator for the Bexley Bruisers, Quinn is ready to work and make her father proud, but soon she starts too much time with the team especially Cash. His advances distract her and the more time she spend with him, the more she wants to deny her growing feelings for him. But soon secrets start to reveal themselves and she has decide whether Cash is worth it or not.
Cash Brooks knows that he is hard to resist, his looks and his skills have taken him far. Yet his past is what keeps bringing him down, and if he is not careful he could lose it all, including the girl that might just be the one for him. His whole future could change, and it is up to him to learn to move on before it's too late. I completely loved the characters in the book, Cash is dreamy and swoon worthy that made the book that much more enjoyable to read. It was evident from the very beginning that his relationship with Quinn was going to be fun to read, he has the perfect playful personality that had me rooting for their relationship until the very end. Quinn is such a relatable character, all she wants to is to make her father proud, and be the best that she can be. She is so focused on her future that she doesn't really see what's around her sometimes, but as soon as she meets Cash everything starts to change for her.
The whole book has a playful vibe that it's hard to stop reading it. Another thing that I liked about the story is how there are many twists and turns that when I got to the end of the book I couldn't believe how it actually ended! You will not see it coming, so if you are looking for a playful yet romantic story full of twists and turns then I would highly recommend reading this book. I cannot wait to read what happens next with the characters and to read more from the author. ; )

My Rating:
Amanda Cowen can be found eating cupcakes, singing off-key, or watching a good RomCom when she isn’t trapped on her computer writing stories and delighting her imagination. She has been writing since the ripe age of twelve about ponies and princesses in brightly colored duo-tangs with metallic pens. Thankfully, she now has a Mac with a keyboard where she can write about love, sex and relationships. She is an “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” fanatic, a hater of roller-coasters and a country music junkie. She lives in Thunder Bay, ON where the summers are short and the winters are long.
Her next Contemporary Romance/New Adult Fiction novel TAINTED (The Wyatt Series #1) will be available in Summer 2014.
