Series: Teaching Love
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Unwanted. A word eighteen-year-old Kaelyn Jefferies knows better than most. Given up at birth, she knows nothing of love. Now she navigates this world blind, worrying only about her present to survive. And sometimes when you’re the only guide you have, you don’t always do what’s best for yourself.

After another confrontation with her bully, Kaelyn flees to her hiding spot to be alone and nurse her wounds. Instead, she finds Julian Ean, the gorgeous twenty-four-year-old calculus teacher the other girls whisper about, nursing a few of his own. Until that moment, Mr. Ean was simply a man she passed in the halls. Afterwards, he is impossible to ignore … to forget.

Mr. Ean only wanted to help Kaelyn. Patch her up and show her she was worth so much more than she was giving herself. He didn’t mean to fall in love with a student. It’s wrong, he knows it, but he can’t help himself around her. Not when her pain feels like his.

Kaelyn didn’t mean to fall in love with a teacher. It’s wrong, she knows it, but after Mr. Ean shows her what a real smile feels like, there’s no going back after that …

{EXCERPT}

He takes a seat at the bar and stares at me with a myriad of emotions on his face. I can’t place them because I don’t know why they’re there. But I’ve felt a few. Sadness isn’t simply one emotion. It’s too many all at once.

“I’m sorry about that. You just got a front row seat to the end of my relationship and you shouldn’t have.”

I peek at him. “Is she your girlfriend?”

“Since freshman year of college.” He looks at the worn bar top for an uncomfortable second, and then the words seem to fall out of him in one heartbroken whisper. “I don’t know what to do.”

I look down too, not knowing what to say. Having no relationship to speak of, I don’t know what he’s going through.

He exhales deeply and stands. “I’d better get back.” He smiles weakly, leaving me at the bar.

“Who is that?” Tamryn asks, joining me as I watch him leave.

“Mr. Ean. He’s a teacher at my school.”

Her eyes widen. “He’s so young.”

“He’s twenty-four.”

“Huh. He’s so hot,” she murmurs, dumbfounded.

I smile. “He is kind of good-looking.”

“Kind of?” she scoffs. “Who’s he with?”

“His girlfriend.”

“Oh. Of course, he’s taken. Too old for you and taken for me. We can’t catch a break, can we?” She bumps my shoulder. “Get back to work, slacker.”

He wasn’t that much older than me. I do the math, shocked to find maybe six years is a stretch. Coupled with the fact that he’s a teacher, and the man is completely off-limits.

Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us.

Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.

When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?

Purchase: iBooks, Amazon, B&N

My Review:

Not having read any other works by Linde before, I was really impressed with how she executed The Wright Brother. Not only was the story entertaining, but it also sweet with a bit of sexiness in between. For the last ten years, Emery has managed to stay away from the Wright family, a family she sworn off all those years ago when she was dating Landon Wright in high school. But things don't always end up like we plan them to, and Emery somehow manages to end up at one of the Wright's wedding. Ten years have definitely gone by fast, and she has changed a lot, and to her relief people don't seem to recognize who she is. Not even Landon recognizes her, but she still caught the eye of Jensen Wright and that's when things start to change for her. It's their instant chemistry at the party that she can't let go no matter how hard she tries to stay away from him. Yet, it's Jensen's persistence that brings them together in the end as well as problems that they have to solve in order to truly move on.

Jensen Wright has it all, he runs the family business and he is very successful when it comes to women.  He is also very protective over those he loves, and he shows that by making sure that his little sister is protected before getting married. His personal love life is non existent as he doesn't want to get involve with anyone serious. Yet that all changes when he spots Emery at the wedding, without knowing who she was, he approached her like he would any other women, but the minute he finds out who she is things begin to change. No matter how hard he tries to stay away from his brother's ex he can't, and he makes it his mission to make Emery his no matter what.

I absolutely loved reading this book! Jensen is swoon worthy and caring towards Emery. He wants to protect her and give her anything she would ever want, but when secrets come out, their relationship starts to change. On the other hand, Emery is a bit all over the place at times, but she know what she wants. The scenes between the main characters are sweet and steamy that will definitely leave you wanting for more. The author really captured the characters so well through their ups and downs that it felt realistic/relatable. Overall, I would highly recommend reading The Wright Brother, it will not disappoint. :)

✯RELEASE BLITZ:✯ Dear Agony: A Novel by Georgia Cates

Dear Agony: A Novel by Georgia Cates

Release Date: March 1st 2017
Genres: Romance

Dear Agony,

You've been my shadow, following me through childhood—filling my days and nights with terror and uncertainty. You cleverly disguised yourself as some form of pain or suffering as I grew into a young woman. We were unwavering companions … until I severed our ties.

I traded homelessness on the streets of New Orleans for a luxurious bed covered by the finest linens.
I traded dumpster diving for dinner in the finest restaurants.
I traded myself to a stranger—Bastien Pascal.

I have a good life within my platonic and mutually beneficial companionship with Bash.
He’s my friend. My mentor. My roommate.
Until everything changes.

I’m not supposed to get goosebumps when his hand brushes my skin.
I’m not supposed to be eager for his soothing touch following one of my nightmares.
I’m not supposed to think about what might happen if I reached out to him in the darkness.

Falling in love with him? Preposterous . . . unavoidable.

Agony, why are you back with a vengeance to rob me of this life I’ve come to love so dearly?

I’m finally happy. Don’t ruin this for me.

Always yours,
Rose

In this epic love story, Dear Agony forges a connection between an unlikely pair—a beautiful rose entwined in barbed wire and a shipwreck sinking into the darkest depths of the ocean. This agonizing romantic novel poses some gut-wrenching questions: What does a woman do when the man she loves is planning his own demise? And how far will she go to give him something to live for?
