🔖 BLOG TOUR 🔖 Waiting for my Queen by Georgia Cates {REVIEW + GIVEAWAY!}

Waiting for my Queen by Georgia Cates

Release Date: March 3rd 2020 by Georgia Cates Books LLC
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Emilia—

All I’ve ever wanted was to marry for love.
But girls like me don’t have that luxury.
We are used as pawns in a game we can’t control.
The game? It’s called Mafia.
I was foolish enough to try to change the rules… and I lost.

Luca—

She was promised to me years ago.
And he dared to take her from me.
Dared to touch what was mine.
I put an end to that.
I hope he’s enjoying the view from his dirt room.

Emilia—

My beloved’s killer placed a ruby ring on my finger and called me his queen.
But that red gem symbolizes something different for me.
It represents the blood shed by those I love most.
Hell was empty the day we wed.
Because the devil was standing before me and said “I do.”

Luca—

I saw her as a possession.
A shiny toy I didn’t want other boys to play with.
But she’s so much more.
Beautiful and brave and strong and broken all at once.
She tastes like everything I’ve ever wanted.

Emilia—

Hidden and patient.
I wait for the perfect time to seek my revenge.
But slowly, I feel him possessing me.
His heart is full of darkness… and I still want every inch of him.
Hard as I try, I can’t escape loving this beautiful monster.

Luca—

I’m waiting patiently because I already know that she’s mine.
Mine in a way that no one will ever understand.
Even if she hasn’t yet realized it.
For love, I’d do anything.
For her, I’d do everything.

My Review:

This mafia king is ready to claim his queen.

In Georgia Cate’s newest release, we are introduced to Emilia Bellini and Luca Rossini. Both have been betrothed to each other as kids by their grandfathers and fathers. It was alliance that would ultimately bring both powerful families together. But neither expected for Emilia to fall in love with her childhood friend, Nic. It was their forbidden romance that would bring Luca tremendous rage, enough to hurt those around Emilia. As a mafia princess, Emilia knows that her life is not completely hers and that marrying Luca will help her family when they are in need. So, she gives in only she has her own hidden agenda and she is going to make sure Luca makes her his queen no matter what.

Luca Rossini is a greedy but highly intelligent when it comes to getting what he wants. He is a dangerous man that will not hesitate to strike back if provoked and that’s exactly what he does to Emilia’s loved ones. With nothing to stand in the way of them being together, he is ready to claim her yet he wasn’t expecting her to give in so fast. She is beautiful and full of wit. With time he starts to like her even more. They were brought up in the mafia world and they both know what their union means to everyone around them. So when their lives are threatened, Luca will do anything in his power to protect his queen until the very end.

I absolutely loved reading Waiting for My Queen, it’s been a while since I’ve read anything by Georgia Cates and this book did not disappoint at all. From the eye catching cover to the intriguing synopsis, Cates completely hooked me in from beginning to end. The characters truly made the story stand out. I can see why Luca would be misunderstood character at the beginning of the story. He is ruthless and not the best person. But as we get to know him better and his relationship with Emilia evolves, he becomes a redeemable character worth rooting for. Emilia is spitfire who knows what she wants and is not afraid to get it. She is a true mafia princess who knows how to stand up for herself and be courageous. There are so many ups and downs in the story, without giving anything away, I truly recommend checking out the book. The ending was perfect for the story and I cannot wait to read any upcoming books by the author in the future. :)

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

The Fellowship saga continues with Kieran and Westlyn's story in this standalone spinoff of The Sin Trilogy.
Captor becomes lover…

I’m a marksman. Mobster. Deadly assassin.
My job is to protect my brotherhood, but that isn’t my only responsibility.

I’m Kieran Hendry, the up-and-coming leader of The Order, and a new duty calls. I must take a wife.

A wife I don’t know.
A wife born into a position at the top of The Fellowship hierarchy.
A wife who will forge a strong alliance between her brotherhood and mine.
A wife I don’t want.

I knew next to nothing about Westlyn Breckenridge when I abducted her, but I quickly discover that she’s intelligent, strong, defiant, selfless. And beautiful.

One night with her is all it takes for me to see that she is no typical Mafia princess. I’m hopeful this arranged marriage won’t be the miserable union I imagined it to be. But convincing my intended to give us a chance won’t be easy when she sees me as the enemy. The brute who kidnapped her. The vile fiend who threatened to do as he wished with her body.

It’s true. I am all those things. I had cruel intentions. But everything has changed. My affection for her is unexpected. My love, unintended.

***Unintended can be read as a standalone novel although it is a novel accompanying The Sin Trilogy. It is best enjoyed after reading The Sin Trilogy and Endurance: A Sin Series Standalone novel.

Pages: 428
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

As a woman with a past full of heartache, I’d heard the words “you deserve better” more times than I cared to admit. And while I thought Jacks was my definition of better, his betrayal certainly was not. The idea we’re all destined to find some great love was a reality I wanted to give up on. I had known true happiness, and it was in the arms of Jackson Carmichael.

I was supposed to say I didn’t miss him, but that would have been the biggest lie I’ve ever told. He’d been my best friend, the one who had understood me, the one who had known my deepest secrets and admired me in spite of them. That kind of love was hard to erase. I’d tried to move on with someone else, but the memory of what Jacks and I shared always lingered in the back of my mind. When he had asked to reestablish our friendship, I knew better than to agree. But after tragedy struck, the need for friendship and truth destroyed the walls I’d built around my heart. As the time came for me to choose between the man I always wanted and the safety my heart so desperately craved, I was forced to answer the question I’d been avoiding for months: Are second chances worth the risk?

✯RELEASE BLITZ:✯ Dear Agony: A Novel by Georgia Cates

Dear Agony: A Novel by Georgia Cates

Release Date: March 1st 2017
Genres: Romance

Dear Agony,

You've been my shadow, following me through childhood—filling my days and nights with terror and uncertainty. You cleverly disguised yourself as some form of pain or suffering as I grew into a young woman. We were unwavering companions … until I severed our ties.

I traded homelessness on the streets of New Orleans for a luxurious bed covered by the finest linens.
I traded dumpster diving for dinner in the finest restaurants.
I traded myself to a stranger—Bastien Pascal.

I have a good life within my platonic and mutually beneficial companionship with Bash.
He’s my friend. My mentor. My roommate.
Until everything changes.

I’m not supposed to get goosebumps when his hand brushes my skin.
I’m not supposed to be eager for his soothing touch following one of my nightmares.
I’m not supposed to think about what might happen if I reached out to him in the darkness.

Falling in love with him? Preposterous . . . unavoidable.

Agony, why are you back with a vengeance to rob me of this life I’ve come to love so dearly?

I’m finally happy. Don’t ruin this for me.

Always yours,
Rose

In this epic love story, Dear Agony forges a connection between an unlikely pair—a beautiful rose entwined in barbed wire and a shipwreck sinking into the darkest depths of the ocean. This agonizing romantic novel poses some gut-wrenching questions: What does a woman do when the man she loves is planning his own demise? And how far will she go to give him something to live for?

✯BLOG TOUR:✯ Endurance by Georgia Cates {REVIEW + EXCERPT}

Endurance by Georgia Cates

Release Date: November 11th 2016 by Georgia Cates Books LLC
Series: The Sin Trilogy #4
Genres: Romance, Suspense, Contemporary

I'm a doctor. Mobster. Killer.

My hands are covered in filth. I don't have the right to touch anything as clean and pure as Ellison MacAllister.

I distance myself ... always remaining obscure, composed, restrained.

Careful to never allow my eyes to linger too long.

Careful to hide my interest.

Careful to keep my burning desire buried beneath the surface.

I do it for her--suffer in silence--because it's what is best for the woman I love.
And she has no idea.

She'll be initiated as a Fellowship member soon. One of my mafia brothers will go through endurance so he'll earn the right to claim her.

Make her his wife.

Kill. Me. Slowly.

I'm running out of time. Only a month remains before she's beyond my reach forever.

I want to taste her. Share sleepless nights. Ride out her storm.

I want to give her the kind of nights she will still feel between her legs the next morning.

I want us to share the kind of passion that forms on our skin and drips down to saturate the sheets.

Between the sweat and the moans and the messy hair, I want her to know how hard she's been loved.

To have her is to taint her.

I should stay away. But I won't. I can't.

I'm a selfish bastard.

A selfish bastard in love.

My Review:

From the moment I found out that Georgia Cates was going to release a whole book about Ellison and Jamie, I couldn't wait to read it. Needless to say, Endurance completely blew my mind, it was intense and romantic that had me reading nonstop. Though we get to meet the characters in the SIN trilogy, it's not necessary to read the other books to get Endurance, but there are some aspects that do get explained if you want to get the full effect of the series.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet Jamie, a doctor, and a Fellowship mobster whose life was marked to protect his fellow brothers from the minute he was born. Being part of this criminal organization has put Jamie's life at risk, but his dedication of being the Fellowship's doctor is what gives him pride. Yet, there are fears that not even a mobster can stop and it Jamie has to face those the minute his eyes land on Ellison MacAllister. Though he has promised himself to keep a distance from her, her alluring personality is what keeps pulling him in. But when the time comes for Ellison to be claimed by one of the brothers as his mate/wife, something within Jaime awakes and he will not stop at nothing until Ellison becomes his.

From the minute Ellison arrived to Edinburgh, her life has been all over the place and although she is adjusting to her new life, she's still coming to terms with being surrounded by Fellowship members. But in order to be part of the Fellowship she needs to be claimed by one of the brothers, and that has proven to be difficult ever since she met Jaime. Her attraction towards him immediately grows as they start to get to know each other, but when she is finally ready to make a move, he immediately shots her down. Now that it's critical for her to be claimed, Jaime makes an intriguing deal to Ellison that will change their lives forever.

I'm really pleased with how the author managed to write a completely different story to the SIN trilogy, but within the Fellowship word. There is so much chemistry between the characters that it's impossible to ignore, and it keeps growing throughout the story as well. We do get to find out more about Jaime's fears and past that prevents him from moving on with Ellison, and there are all kinds of twists and turns  to keep you wanting for more. I absolutely loved this book, and cannot wait to read more from the author. I would highly suggest reading this book as well as the SIN trilogy, you will not regret it, especially if you like alpha males with a big softy hearts that will literally have you swooning all over them. ;)

Chapter 5

Jamie’s POV

“I don’t mind your stuff being all over our bedroom. And our bathroom. And the hallway leading from the staircase.” Trust me. Her shite is every-fucking-where. “I knew what I was getting into when I asked a high-maintenance lass like yourself to move in with me.”

Ellison giggles. “You did not. You knew zero about what it would be like living with me. And I can guarantee that whatever you’re thinking you’ve gotten yourself into with me ain’t even close to the reality of it.”

“Then why don’t you tell me?”

“I was thinking I would show you.” She grins and I’ve come to know in a short while that it’s a sure sign of mischief. “That is if you think you can handle it.”

“I promise I won’t be the one who can’t handle it.” I already know what kind of lover she likes and wants.

And I very much want to be the alpha she wants.

I pick Ellison up and throw her over my shoulder to carry her to the bed. Well, to the mattress on the floor.

I was planning to wait until bedtime to fuck her—after the work was done and everything was in place—but she’s made it impossible for me to wait another minute.

I toss her on the mattress and stand over her while I pull my T-shirt over my head and start working to get my jeans off. “I’m done waiting to have you.”

She smiles as her eyes survey my body. “I’ve been wondering what you look like underneath your shirt.”

“And?”

“I approve one hundred percent.”

“Take off your clothes, Mac. I want to watch you get naked.” My voice is stern. I’ll be the one in control. The one taking what I want. The one who’ll be completely unapologetic. Exactly what she said she wanted.

It’s November, that time of year where Scotland experiences more darkness than light. The sun is long gone, so the room is illuminated only by the soft lamp on the bedside table. It’s actually sort of perfect.

Ellison sits up and pulls her shirt over her head. Black and hot-pink lace covers what I already know is a beautiful pair of tits that fit my hands perfectly. And I can’t wait to get my hands on them again.

Her lovely breasts tumble out of her bra and she tosses it on the mattress before pushing her thumbs into the waistband of her yoga pants to drag them down her legs. A tiny black and hot-pink lace triangle barely covers the mound between her thighs.

She’s completely naked when she falls backward on the mattress, her feet apart and knees pressed together. Waiting. “No, Mac. You don’t get to close your legs on me. I want to see you. All. Of. You.” I put my palms together and then pull them apart to widen the space between my hands. “Spread them.”

She bites her bottom lip—an attempt to mask her grin—as her knees slowly fall apart. “Is this what you want to look at?”

My underwear is tight. My cock is straining hard against the fabric so I push them down and out of the way. “I think this is a sure sign I want to do more than look at it.”

Ellison grins. “Mmm. Someone’s eager.”

“You have no idea.”

I go to my knees and crawl over Ellison. “I’ve imagined us like this no less than a million times. I’ve seen it happen in my head over and over.”

Ellison brings my hand to her mouth to kiss my palm. “I’ve imagined us together too. I can’t tell you how many times.”

My mouth connects with hers and she opens wide to invite my tongue inside to play. Silky. Slippery. Seductive. I like this game very much.

A little taunting. A little tickling. A lot of teasing. This woman knows how a man likes to be kissed.

I drag my mouth away from her lips and kiss that spot below her ear before moving down the side of her neck. My hands similarly mimic the downward motion beginning at her ribcage and moving lower on her sides, waist, and hips.

She pushes her fingers into the top of my hair and arches her back when I move lower to suck her nipple into my mouth. A soft gasp/moan expels from her chest when my tongue licks the erect point.

I know she’s going to squirm so I grasp her bum hard and hold her in place as I move lower to kiss the top of her pubic bone. “Doc, this teasing . . . it’s torture.”

“Do you want my mouth on you?”

She lifts her hips and squirms. “Yesss. So badly.”

She jolts when my tongue darts out and licks the top of her slit. “Ohhh.”

I tickle her clit with my tongue and then lick once. Twice. Three times. “I love the way you taste. And smell.”

She rocks her hips in a back and forth motion against my mouth. Her body shudders and a moan is released when my tongue works her in a circular motion. “More?”

“Please. Feels so good.”

Pleasing Ellison. Hearing her moans. Licking her until she comes. I’m going to enjoy this.

With them, Bleu finally discovers her mother’s killer along with far more than she could possibly imagine. Can she find happiness with a husband who will go to any length to keep her safe, even if it means denying her of the one thing she believes she wants most in this world?
(Synopsis taken from Goodreads)

My Review:

After reading the previous two books in the trilogy, I couldn't wait to read what happened next with Bleu and Sinclair. From the moment they met, they were immediately attracted to each other, and not knowing what each had planned, they both embarked into an adventure that would ultimately change their lives forever.

Bleu's goal had been to avenge her mother from the very beginning, but things rapidly changed the minute she met Sin, and ever since then she has been doubting herself as she struggles to  find a way to be at peace. She couldn't kill Sin's father, and now after discovering that he may not have been the one that actually murdered her mother, Bleu has been questioning everything she knew about The Fellowship. Her love for Sin has grown and so is their relationship. Now as they get closer to finding the truth, she needs to decide whether killing her mother's killer will actually avenger her mother at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the SIN trilogy, One Last Sin has lots of twists and turns that will definitely keep you guessing until the very end. Throughout the story we get to see the character's grow and make difficult decision to keep each other safe. Bleu's life has changed for the better, she is happy with Sin, but she believes that by killing her mother's killer it will somehow make things so much better for her. On the other hand, Sin has been haunted with the promise that he made to Bleu's father before dying and he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Bleu safe. There are a lot of things that the characters get to find out in this book that will put their relationship to the test. I especially loved the ending, it's sweet and it fits well with the story. Overall, not only is the story very well-written, but it's also full of surprises. I would highly recommend it if you like these types of books, and if you don't, then this trilogy will definitely make you want to read the books until the very end. :)

(Synopsis taken from Goodreads)

My Review:

In the first book of the SIN trilogy, tensions were high between the characters when they finally were able to face the truth. Bleu MacAllister is now back home after leaving the love of her life back in Scotland. It has been moths since they've seen one another, and everyday she is reminded of the man that became so much more for her. But knowing that she couldn't go through with her plan has been killing her. Yet that doesn't last long when Sin appears back in her life ready to handle the obstacles ahead of them with the woman that he loves. With that said, he is willing to help her avenge her mother, but can they really trust each other in order to move on as a couple?

After reading the book, I couldn't wait to read the second book in the trilogy. Sin is perfect for Bleu and he couldn't let her go that easily. After discovering Bleu's plan, Sin was left in shocked and couldn't believe what Bleu was about to do to his father. But he took it upon himself to find her after she left, and now he is able to make the biggest decision of his life, one that will change their lives forever. In the second book we get to learn more about what truly happened to Bleu's mom. Her killer is still out there and she will not stop at nothing until she finds him. On the other hand, Sin has a plan to make Bleu part of his life permanently, and is ready to against his own family if he has to. At the end of the first book we are left with a cliffhanger, but Cates has outdone herself with the second book, it has so much more plot that will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read the end of the book, it's going to be epic. :)

Excerpt Sinclair’s POV

I’m in the background of Bleu’s life, as I have been for weeks. I have eyes on her at all times, even when they’re not my own. I safeguard her from harm. It’s all I’ve done since tracking my lass down in a small town in Mississippi, right outside of Memphis. I act as her protector from afar and she has no idea. She believes she’s hidden from The Fellowship—and me—but she couldn’t be more wrong. I’m always here, keeping a watchful eye on her and the MacAllister family.

I often need to be reminded that this is Bleu’s world. Every person she has contact with isn’t a threat but there’s an enormous problem with that. I have no idea who’s friend or foe.

I was concerned when Bleu disappeared at the bar with a man earlier tonight. I was on the verge of barging into the back until my lass came out on stage to perform with the band. I don’t think I’ve ever been so surprised in all my life. I knew she played but I never pegged her for a public performer. That doesn’t seem like my Bonny at all.

But I guess I don’t really know the real Bleu MacAllister. I only know the woman she pretended to be.

Bleu MacAllister is consumed. A horrific childhood incident has caused every decision in her life to revolve around bringing a monster to justice.

But walking hand in hand with retribution means risking collateral damage, in the form of Breckenridge’s son Sinclair—until Sin becomes so much more than Bleu bargained for.

She’s always known this undertaking would place her life in danger—she never imagined her heart would be as well.
(Synopsis taken from Goodreads)

My Review:

Not having read other books by Georgia Cates before, I was really impressed with the twists and turns of this book that had me completely hooked from the very beginning. Right when the book starts we get to meet Bleu MacAllister, a former agent whose only motive in life is to avenge her mother from a horrific crime that took her away from Bleu at a very young age. After years of training and studying The Fellowship, Bleu is finally ready to bring the crime organization down, including their leader. Yet, in order to kill the leader she needs to be invited into their world, and getting to Sinclair (the leader's son) would help her cause. Little did she know that Sin would prove to be something else all together, now she needs to find a way to put her feeling for him aside if she wants to get justice once and for all.

For Sinclair Breckenridge being next in line to becoming the leader of a major crime organization has been in his mind ever since he was born. He was brought up to think that he could be ruthless and be the best for his fellow fellowship members. But he wasn't expecting to run into Bleu at a bar, and find her attractive. He is immediately taken by her beauty and her ability to stand up to anyone, including him. As the two start to spend time with each other, the more he starts to realize that there could be more in life than just a life full of crime, and it is his duty to protect Bleu against those that are trying to hurt her no matter what.

I really enjoyed reading the first book the SIN trilogy, it was captivating from the very beginning, and I couldn't put it down until the very end. The characters are very similar, they get what they want and defend those that they love. Sin is ruthless, caring, playful, and protective. We get a lot more emotion from him than Bleu, yet it's very evident that they have chemistry from the first time they met. On the other hand, Bleu is determined and caring. Her mother's murder has been with her for a long time, and she believes that by killing her mother's killer will put an end to her misery. Yet at the same time, she wasn't expecting her trip to Scotland to change her life forever. Needless to say, when Sin discovers Bleu's plan thing start to change and it would be up to them to figure out if they can overcome whatever comes next. Overall, the plot was amazing, it has everything that a reader would want. It has drama, steamy scenes, suspense, and romantic scenes that will keep you reading until the very end. I would highly recommend reading this book, you will not regret it. :)

Bleu MacAllister’s POV

“You better be worth all this work and waiting.” He nips my bottom lip and gives my ass another painful squeeze before turning to walk to his car.

Anticipation—it builds excitement and suspense. The brain really is a sexual organ, even for men. Sin is going to spend the next five days and nights fantasizing about what it’ll be like when he finally has me beneath him. Waiting is something he’s never had to do so this is another way of setting me apart from the others before me. It proves I’m worth the wait and far more than just fuckworthy.
