🔖 REVIEW BLITZ 🔖 Sullivan by Melanie Moreland

Sullivan by Melanie Moreland

Release Date: April 22, 2026
Pages: 319
Genres: Romance, Contemporary, Suspense

A brand new contemporary romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Melanie Moreland. Prepare to be swept away by this love story of two opposites who collide in all the right ways — and the man who refuses to let distance keep them apart.

Sullivan Black

Powerful. Confident.
Sully Black is a highly sought-after corporate solicitor with ties to a dangerous world…one he cannot escape.
One he never wanted to be free of until it threatened to destroy something he never thought he would have.
Love.

Autumn Briggs

A woman visiting Scotland, hoping the shadows in her life dissipate, gone forever by the time she returns home to Canada.
When an unexpected storm brings the two strangers together in a small cabin, another tempest occurs. One filled with emotions, passion, and talks of forever.
She captivates him.
He fascinates her.
When the outside storm passes and reality sets in, will their new love withstand the pressures of their worlds colliding?
Can she accept the light and the dark?
Can he protect her from her past?
Is forever just a word—or their new way of life?

Author's Note: If you are looking for a later-in-life vacation fling that becomes so much more, a forced-proximity slow burn with just-one-bed tension, a touch-her-and-die hero who will cross oceans to keep her safe, and a love story that proves distance is no match for forever — Sullivan is the book you've been waiting for.

My Review:

In Moreland’s latest release we are taken back to the dangerous world of the Canadian syndicate in Sullivan. This time bringing the Scottish side into the mix as two unlikely individuals are brought together by chance in this steamy romance.

As a sought-after corporate solicitor, Sullivan “Sully” Black, has achieved a lot in in career as he always keeps himself busy. Taking a small break is the last thing he wanted, until his assistant booked him a train ticket to the small town of Lachlan, where he owns a cottage by the sea. What Sully wasn’t expecting to find was a beautiful woman fainting in front of him. At work, he is a cut-throat solicitor ready to do his job. But looking at the woman in front of him, his first instinct is to make sure she is fine.

The attraction between them is magnetic doesn’t remember ever having such a strong reaction to woman before meeting Autumn Briggs. She tells him that she is there on a work exchange program and knows his cousin, Bonnie. There is a part of him that feels at peace with her around and knows that he should leave. Until a storm brings the two of them together and they are unable to leave until further notice. This would ultimately bring them closer as the two began to confide in one another. Soon they cross the line of no return and Sully makes it his mission to make things work with Autumn once they go back to Edinburg. But what starts off as an unexpected encounter, her past and his world could threaten a chance at a future together.

I absolutely loved reading Sullivan! It’s clear from the very beginning that the main characters have an instant connection and it just keeps growing the longer they spend together. For Autumn it was hard to leave her aunt behind in Canada, but when the opportunity presented itself to leave for a while, she took it. Hoping that it would help her escape her past. Little did she know that meeting Sully would change her life forever. Meanwhile, Sullivan has done everything to make a name for himself, but his past with the syndicate is something that he hopes it does’t hurt his chances with Autumn. It would take a course of events to lead them back into his world in order to keep her safe. I loved seeing them interact with his cousins (from previous books in the series) and just how well they protected Autumn as she became important to Sully. There was a strong family bond/connection in this book that I really liked. The ending was so sweet and I cannot recommend it enough! :)

🔖 BLOG TOUR 🔖 Death by Michelle Heard {REVIEW}

Death by Michelle Heard

Release Date: June 30, 2025
Pages: 281
Genres: Romance, Suspense

From USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Michelle Heard comes a new STANDALONE, full-length MAFIA ROMANCE novel.

I walked out of my home and away from my loving sister to protect her. Either I left with him, the man who’s watched me from the shadows for months, or he would kill Grace.

It’s been nine months of living in pure agony and hell.
Nine months since I last saw Grace.
Nine months of him controlling every aspect of my life.

My mind has shattered, and I’m not sure I’ll ever escape him.

Until I do.
The only problem? Not even minutes after running for my life, I’m captured again by another man. This one is charming with his hot smiles and promises of safety, and he rules over his kingdom like a beloved god.

Is the brutality I see in his eyes just my imagination? Do I dare trust that he won’t hurt me?
I know what he wants.
Me.

I’m just not sure there’s anything left of me to give to him.

STANDALONE: A Mafia Romance full-length novel.
Each book in the Mafia Empire series is interconnected, but about a different couple who will all find their HEA.

My Review:

As the third book in the Mafia Empire Series, Heard delivers her darkest book yet in Death. This mafia romance is full of secrets, suspense and an emotional rollercoaster that will pull at your heartstrings and never let go.

Nothing is ever easy in their world, especially after being promised to a man she doesn’t love. Alliances are everything and Ciara Devlin has no choice but to marry the man her dad has promised her to. But her biggest ally, her sister Grace, will do anything to save Ciara from the horrors that she suffered in her first marriage. So when Grace agrees to marry Dominik instead, it should have given Ciara a chance to not go through the same experience. Little did she know just her life would take a turn for the worse after being kidnapped and held away from her own family. It would take months of living in pain to slowly destroy all hopes of being rescued. Until Ciara finds herself running for her life, only to be taken by another man. A man that slowly finds a way into her heart, Santiago gives her the chance to start fresh. Yet, Ciara doesn’t know if she’ll ever be the same again. What she went through completely destroyed her.

Santiago Castro has build a life for himself full of wealth and power. Growing up his life was different, until everything changed the minute the cartel decided to turn to on his family. Losing everything made him more resilient all while vowing to protect all those that need him. Especially the woman that he is destined to be with, as he was once told that she would be like the rising sun. Only his instincts are telling him that she is in a grave danger and Santiago is ready to do anything in order to find her. It’s when he does that Santiago becomes her protector and vows to make those that hurt her pay the ultimate price for hurting the woman he loves. He knows that Ciara has been through so much and it’s heartbreaking to see her in pain. Yet, he is determine to be there for her no matter what, even if she decides that she might not be able to love him back.

I absolutely loved reading Death, the storyline was more complex and well-written when it came to the dark topics in the book. I would definitely recommend reading the trigger warmings at the beginning before reading the book. It’s clear from the beginning that Ciara goes through a severe trauma after she gets taken. It doesn’t take her long to gravitate towards Santiago, which she does’t understand as he is clearly a stranger. But it’s his honesty and kindness that wins her over. There is a mutual understanding between them as the two start to get to know each other more. They have a lot in common and she can see herself falling for Santiago. I loved seeing Santiago not being too pushy with Ciara, instead he is nothing but completely understanding her situation and takes his time with her. Seeing them interact with previous characters also made the book that much more enjoyable to read. The ending will literally melt your heart, it was sweet and perfect for the characters. I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as the rest of the series, you will not regret it! :)

Start your journey in The Irishmen duet by New York Times Bestselling author Melanie Moreland

My Review:

Moreland’s latest release is full of sizzling chemistry and suspense. As the first book in The Irishmen duet, Finn, will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end!

For someone as wealthy as Finn O’Reilly, he never thought that he would get into the hotel business until he met Una Murphy. Her enthusiasm for the hospitality business and wanting to be part of it has Finn immediately wanting to let her run one of his businesses. While he owns a lot of legal businesses, Finn is also in charge of his underworld dealings with other territories.

Though his life might be full of danger, it helps that he has no weaknesses that could be used against him. Except, there is someone that over the years has stolen his heart and that is Una. Yet, she has made it clear that his world is not for her even though they both know that what they have is real. No matter how much distance Una places between them, Finn will always be there for her. So, when he finds out that she might be in danger, he will make sure to save her at all costs. Vowing to make her his once and for all.

Una Murphy never envisioned not having her parents around to rely on, leaving her and brother to stand by each other. While her brother follows on their dad’s footsteps within the syndicate, Una wants nothing to do with it. She has witnessed what it could do to loved ones and she has done everything in her power to stay away from Finn. Yet, he still loves her and wants them to go be together. Finn O’Reilly is everything she has wanted in a man, but there are dangers lurking behind the underworld and Una is not sure if they’ll ever be safe.

I throughly enjoyed reading Finn, the characters had undeniable chemistry from the very beginning. Finn has become overly protective of her the minute they met and it stays that way for years. Even though he wants to respect her decision of not being together, he will always be there for her. He knows that Una only has her brother, but when her brother slowly starts to change, it becomes evident that Finn has to step in. All in all, I loved the suspense in this first book and the ending makes me want to read Neill’s book right away! I would highly recommend checking out this book and any others by the author. :)

My Review:

Aldo, Moreland’s newest release in the Men of the Fall’s duet is a steamy and thrilling romance that will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end!

As Roman Costas’s best friend and right hand, Aldo Ricci has witnessed the depths of the underworld in Niagara Falls. With Roman at the head, there are threats everywhere and Aldo has become his security, swearing to protect him no matter what. While business is booming at The Maple, a hotel and casino, their loves lives not so much. With the dangers that come with their jobs, it’s easy not to get attached. At least that’s what Aldo thought, until he met Violet Nelson.

Applying for the over-the-top casino/hotel was a gamble for Violet, especially after the recent turn of events in her life. With the hopes of starting new, she set off to Niagara Falls, not expecting for her life to completely change forever. Meeting the enigmatic Aldo takes her by surprise, he shows her a different side of him that not everyone gets to see. Not only is he is the enforcer and loyal friend to Roman, but also sweet and caring towards her. Their connection is undeniable, until a turn of events threatens their chance at a relationship.

I absolutely loved reading Aldo, the story had me hooked and very much at the edge of my seat. Aldo has officially met his match, Violet is feisty and ready to fight back. It’s evident that both of the characters have been through a lot, but they are willing to do whatever it takes to be with each other. The secondary characters made the story that much more enjoyable to read. It’s really shows how tight Aldo is with Roman and his brother, Luca. The ending was perfect for them, I cannot wait to read Roman’s story next. I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others by the author! :)

🔖 REVIEW 🔖 Force of Nature by Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde

Force of Nature by Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde

Release Date: September 6, 2022
Pages: 340
Genres: Romance, Suspense, Contemporary

Carter Morelli survived a violent childhood and dangerous missions. After he emergency lands the small aircraft, he faces something even worse: having someone depend on him. Geologis June Porter wants to study rocks. She didn’t plan to be stranded on a deserted island.

They aren’t alone on the island. A man hides among the broad leaves. He’s almost feral, this man. But he provides them shelter and food.

There are secrets in his hidden cabin. Desire, too.

Carter doesn’t want to care about the bookish, beautiful June.
But he doesn’t like this strange man’s interest in her, either.
Simmering chemistry wars with the need for survival.

Will they be found before they give into temptation?

My Review:

In The Crash, the prequel to the Deserted Island Trilogy, Warren and Wilde did such a great job introducing the characters and setting up the scene of what’s to come in Force of Nature.

We were introduced to Carter Morelli, a Biology Professor, who has been given the assignment to fly a wildlife photographer to Mauritania. The Biology Department hopes of capturing their research and bring awareness to their rare species programs. But the minute he meets June Porter, Carter’s life is turned upside down. June is nothing like what he was expecting, she is too good something that he is not. She is also a distraction when he is specifically on another mission of his own. Yet, finding out that their plane was tampered with launches him on another mission, to be able to get out of the island alive to be able to find out who wanted them dead. There is danger and beauty all around him, but more importantly they are not alone on the island and he has to protect June at all costs before it’s too late.

For June Porter, landing on a tropical island wasn’t on the plans as Carter was supposed to take her to the research facility. There are too many mysteries around Carter that makes it harder for June to fully trust him. Him telling her that their plane was tampered with just adds to the secrets that he’s been keeping from her. June has had a difficult childhood, some underestimate her and she is determined to find out who Carter really is.

I throughly enjoyed reading Force of Nature, the plot line took me by surprise, but it also added a unique element to the story. I still got the mystery vibe and the chemistry between the characters if off the charts. We get to learn more about each separately and the ending was truly unexpected. I’m intrigued, I cannot wait to read the next book in the trilogy, would highly recommend checking it out!

🔖 REVIEW 🔖 The Watcher by Melanie Moreland

The Watcher by Melanie Moreland

Release Date: September 15, 2022
Genres: Romance, Contemporary, Suspense

To the world, I’m Damien DeSalvo, businessman.

I own a security company, ensuring the safety of my clients.
But behind the scenes, I’m known as the Watcher.
I stay hidden, overseeing the secrecy of Hidden Justice—
those who rid the world of its scum, one bad guy at a time.

Until the day she stumbles into my path and one kiss changes everything.
Stalked and terrified, Raven Bailey needs my protection.

I need her.

Can I find the man threatening the woman I love before he finds her?
We’re playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

And I’m determined to win.

My Review:

The Watcher, the fourth book in the Men of Hidden Justice Series by Melanie Moreland is a steamy suspenseful romance that will keep you at the edge of your seat until the very end. A definite must-read!

As the owner of Elite Security, Damien DeSalvo has worked really hard to make his security firm a very successful business. On the outside, he is a businessman planning to expand Elite Security’s clientele and staff. But behind the scenes, Damien uses his skills to run all the programs and servers for Hidden Justice. A secret agency that works to get rid of those that have committed serious crimes. Although Damien is no longer part of the crew, he works in the background to facilitate their success and has been given the name of The Watcher for that. So there is no surprise when he rushes to a woman in need, looking wet from the rain and terrified. She begs him to play along with her and kisses him. Taken back, Damien kisses her back and a part of him doesn’t want to let go. He knows that he needs to earn her trust and immediately tells her about his security firm and how highly trained he is to keep her save. Raven reveals that she’s been stalked and Damien knows that she needs his protection. Yet, the more he learns about Raven, the harder it gets to not be around her. He has never felt that way before, there is an undeniable pull that keeps bringing them together and Damien will not stop until her stalker is out of the equation for good. Nevertheless, his world is dangerous and he can’t put Raven at risk, not when he is starting to fall for her.

After a devastating break up, Raven Bailey made the decision to move to a new city and start over as a teacher. Yet, being alone made it difficult to make new friends so going into a website for other singles in the city looking for a potential friendship didn’t turn out the way she hoped it would. From one innocent meet up, her date slowly started to become more possessive and stalkerish. Running into the bar and kissing the mysterious stranger was the best decision she would have done. No one has paid attention to her concerns the way Damien is, he treats with respect and truly wants to protect her. But no matter how much she wants to lean into his help, Raven doesn’t want him to get hurt. It would take a turn of events to threaten a chance at a potential future together.

I loved reading The Watcher, Moreland always knows how to deliver a great story with alpha heroes ready to protect their heroines at all costs. Damien and Raven’s connection is instant from the very beginning and it just progresses after that. He knows that he is the best man to protect her with his skills and knowledge. We get to know him in previous books in the series and now we got see a cameos from previous lead characters as well. They are all in when it comes to protecting their loves on and the men of Hidden Justice come to help when Damien is in need. Raven is smart, caring and the last thing she wants is to put anyone else in danger. But she learns to trust in Damien and he doesn’t let her down. Filled with plenty of steamy and romantic scenes, the story also brings in a lot of mystery and suspense to keep you wanting for more. I would highly recommend checking out The Watcher as well as any other books in the series, they will not disappoint. :)

🌟 BOOK BLITZ 🌟 The Crash by Skye Warren & Amelia Wilde {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

The Crash by Skye Warren & Amelia Wilde

Release Date: July 11th 2022
Pages: 61
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Suspense

Carter Morelli works alone, but his orders are clear. Pilot the small aircraft carrying the renowned geologist to a remote island. Except the plane malfunctions at a crucial moment.

June Porter wants to stay on solid land. She doesn’t want to fly, but it’s the only way to get to the dig site. Then her worst fears come true.

A heavy storm. A swift fall from the sky. And a heart stopping crash.

An emergency landing leaves them stranded.

A shadow moves through the trees. They aren’t alone in the jungle.

{EXCERPT}

It’s a sunny day. Fluffy white clouds in a blue sky. No turbulence jostles us again. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to fly. It’s perfect, except for the sense of foreboding.

The engine stutters. It’s not precisely wrong, but it’s not precisely right.

“Carter? What’s happening?”

“Nothing.”

It’s not unprecedented. Engines make noise. They’re mechanical. It happens. I check the gauges. Nothing. It’s a small plane, but top-of-the-line. Well-maintained. I checked it over, tip to tail, when I arrived at Heathrow. Nothing was out of order then.

Nothing should be broken now.

Another stutter. This one’s bigger. Fuck.

The fuel gauge swings down toward empty, ticking by line after line.

My entire spine chills. That’s a malfunction. That’s a fucking problem. We’re dumping fuel on a delay, out over the ocean, almost like…

Someone planned for this to happen.

Fuck. Is that what my handler was calling about? How would she know something is wrong on the plane, thousands of miles away? I reach for the landing gear controls.

They try to engage. They fail. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

What’s happening is that the landing gear are stuck halfway open.

Worse, I don’t trust the navigation equipment.

The paper map in the panel above my head resists coming out, but I force it. Open it. Check my bearings one last time. Trust them one last time.

Angle the plane in a slightly different direction.

Off the flight plan, but toward the only land within range on the map.

What the hell is going on? I’ve logged over half a million nautical miles. This has never happened before. The plane drops. A few hundred feet before I can steady it. June gasps, clapping a hand over her mouth.

And then the engines cut out.

It’s silent in the sky. Wind skims over the fuselage. My heart pounds in my ears. I ignore all of it.

Because we’re going down.

There’s nothing to keep this plane in the air.

Not a prayer in the world could keep us flying without engines.

“We’re going to land.” It’s the truth and nothing but the truth. There are no other choices. It’s land the plane or die. “Brace yourself.”

“No,” she breathes.

It’s only a whisper of breath, but I hear it. I feel it, brushing over my skin. I’m tuned in to her. Into the plane. Adrenaline floods my veins, making me tuned into the fucking universe. And every single signal is telling me that we’re fucked.

A patch of green in the ocean comes into view. It looks impossibly small. Too small to land on, much less reach, but as we hurtle forward, it gets larger. Becomes an island. The island I saw on the map.

That’s it.

Our only chance at survival.
