The year is 2009.  Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.

Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler.  Recruit… or kill him.

Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world.

My Review:

This book is one of the best books I've read so far. What attracted me to reading the book was the cover! It looked really intriguing to read, so I gave it a try and I wasn't disappointed at all. The story is unique since I've never read an entire novel from a guy's point-of-view. The plot itself was also great, which made it a page turner for me. Overall it was a good romance/thriller story. From the beginning I was attracted to Jackson and Holly's love story, the story as a whole is full of twists and turns that left me wanting more and completely stunned at the end. Since I read the prequel first, I had no idea how complex the story was going to be. There wasn't enough details for me to be able to understand the story, other than that fact that Jackson likes Holly and that he can time-travel. After reading Tempest I can say that the story comes to a full circle, and it is much easier to understand. It was hard to keep up with the dates and times at first, but it got easier at the end. Although the ending of the book was a bit sad, I CAN'T WAIT TO READ WHAT HAPPENS TO JACKSON AND HOLLY!

I definitely recommend this book for anyone that wants to read something new and from a guy's P.O.V.
