My Review:

Love You Like Christmas was such a heartwarming story about second chances making it the perfect Christmas read. Right from the start I was hooked on the cover and the synopsis, especially if it’s based on a Hallmark movie, those are my favorite. In this particular story we are introduced to Maddie, a marketing executive who loves representing things that she truly loves in and has no trouble selling them to the masses. But when it comes to Christmas, she loves seeing what people are attracted to and buying, not necessarily the meaning behind them. It is when one of her clients invites her to her wedding that Maddie decides to take a road trip to the venue and avoid plains (her biggest fear) at all costs. It’s when she is on her way that things turn for the worse the minute she gets stranded in a small town called, Christmas Valley. Everything around her suddenly looked different, and it’s when she meet Kevin that her life truly changes forever.

Kevin has always lived in Christmas Valley, it’s where generations of his family go way back, and inheriting a farm of Christmas trees should have made his life and the one of his daughter better. But harsh weather has made things difficult and now he is very close to losing the farm. When he meets Maddie unexpectedly for the first time he is attracted to her, there is something about her that makes him want to get to know her better, but he thought he’ll never see her again. Little did know that she was on her way to Christmas Valley after her car stopped working. Now it’s his chance to make her see that a life there isn’t so bad, especially if they’re together. When her work threatens to take her away from him, he’ll have to act fast and convince her that there really is a holiday spirit in Christmas Valley after all.

I loved reading this story, it’s just one of those stories that will give you hope again and give you a little Christmas magic. Although the characters are complete opposites they fit together really well. In this case, one believes in Christmas while the other not as much. It really became a story about Maddie, a busy New Yorker getting to feel the Christmas holiday again, she has been through a lot and we get to see her make progress throughout the book. Just like Maddie, Kevin has also been through a lot especially after being a single dad, he wants to make his daughter happy and he needs to make the farm profitable again. When Maddie gets to town, she sees how everyone looks after one another and it gives Christmas a whole new meaning for her. She loves her job in New York, but it’s not fulling anymore. When she is told about Kevin’s farm, she is able to gather everyone to help save the farm. But one thing is unresolved and that is her relationship with Kevin and that’s one thing you’ll have to find out when you read the story! Keri F. Sweet has done a great job with this story from beginning to end. I would highly recommend reading it even after Christmas is over (You are going to love the ending)! :)

My Review:

Not having read other books by the author before, I was really intrigued by the synopsis and the cover! Right away we get to meet Lexi Stuart, after multiple fail attempts at finding love, she is quickly losing hope of ever finding Mr. Right. All of those that have shown interest in her are after her money and she is tired of being used. So when it comes time for her to meet the rest of her family at a retreat in Lake Tahoe, Lexi is ready to relax and have a good Christmas. What she wasn’t expecting to bump into was yet another gorgeous guy just in time for Christmas. Meeting Adam was never in her plans, but after spending time together the two seemed to get along really well and that all turns into so much more rather quickly. But soon Lexi starts to question what they have and it’s her insecurities that ultimately get in the way. Now it’ll be up to her to decide if giving their relationship a try is worth it or not.

Adam Hunt never expected to meet Lexi Stuart, but after spending time with her he knows that she is it for him, now he just have to convince her to give in to a relationship with him before it’s too late. I liked the overall idea of the story, what I wasn’t so sure about was the characters themselves. I couldn’t connect with Lexi, her insecurities overshadowed everything else about her and made it hard to understand her decisions in the book. Adam was great, her was understanding and caring. The fact that he wanted to be with Lexi no matter was really sweet. We do get some steamy scenes in the story, but that was it. There was very little excitement, but it wasn’t that bad at all. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a quick holiday read. :)

My Review:

A Winter’s Wish Come True is a story about second chances at love and new beginnings. Not having read other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading the book and it didn’t disappoint. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Cleo Jones, a baker who is still struggling to move on from her previous break-up with her boyfriend, Scott. Her friends have been very supportive and there for her, but when she sees Scott again things immediately change. After he was offered a job in Australia, Scott basically left her to pick up the pieces, but Cleo can’t get over him and that leads her back to him. It is after a couple of weeks that she starts to get sick and finds out that she is pregnant that her life has changed forever. Now she has to figure out where she stands with Scott and if decide if she wants him in her life or not.

Scott Robinson has always loved Cleo and it hurt him to leave her behind when he was offered a job in Australia, but he is back now and ready to make things work with her (if she lets him). When he finds out that she is pregnant, Scott is ready to make things work with Cleo, but their past keeps getting in the way and now he has to convince her that they’re perfect for each other before it’s too late. I throughly enjoyed reading this story, it was quick and romantic. Scott was sweet and caring, definitely swoon worthy! On the other hand, Cleo had her doubts throughout the story, she wanted to make the right decision for her baby and it all worked out in the end. Although both of the characters had flaws, they made them work by helping each other. The epilogue will melt your heart, it was sweet and short. I would highly recommend it, it makes a great holiday read. :)

My Review:

Not having read other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading Between You and Me, needless to say I was very impressed with how well the author executed the story from start to finish. At the beginning of the book we get to meet Tess Harrison, a workaholic who hasn’t really had good luck in the romance department. When she sees that the rest of her siblings are getting married and having children, Tess becomes fixated on the idea of having her own little family without having a husband/partner. So after telling her family that she is taking some time off everyone is shocked and worried about her, but all she tells them is that she going to finally take a vacation and she selects Aspen to spend a couple months in. This will give her time to think about what she is about to do and find a good sperm facility to start the process. But when arrives and sees her house manager, Logan Carter things start to take a different turn in her plans. They soon realize that they have a lot in common and that they have chemistry, but Tess knows that what they have will need to end soon. That does not stop her from asking him to be her donor and after a lot of thinking he agrees.

Logan Carter has always has a crush on Tess, ever since he got the job as the Harrison’s house manager. Over the years, he saw less of her but when she shows up again he takes the opportunity to spend time with her. As their friendship starts to grow so does her feelings for her, but he doesn’t want relationship or children and he makes sure she knows that. But as her friend he wants to help her and that’s exactly why he agrees to be her sperm donor while taking things the old- fashioned way. Soon he starts to see that being with Tess might just be what he has been looking for all along. 

I absolutely loved reading this book, it was sweet and full of possibilities that had me reading until the very end. The characters were refreshing and relatable. Tess has been so focused on her career that she longs to have a family of her own. Yet, she doesn’t have a partner and she decides that she doesn’t need one. She takes charge of her life by making bold decisions, but the universe had other plans for her. Now she has to decide if she wants to be in a relationship with Logan or not. On the other hand, Logan is kind and caring. He wants to make Tess happy no matter what and if she needs him to be her sperm donor he’ll do it. He is totally swoon worthy, you will not want the story to end! Although the story focuses on Tess and Logan, we also get to see them interact with each others’ families. Tess’s brothers care for her and we get to see the playfulness in them, while Logan’s mom is funny and kind. In the end we get a well developed story from beginning to end. Jennifer Gracen has definitely delivered a great story, perfect for the holidays. I would highly recommend reading this book, you will not regret. :)

My Review:

For being Charlee James’ debut novel, The Bookworm and the Beast is sure to make you all modern fairy tale lovers happy with this retelling of Beauty and the Beast. At the very beginning we get to meet Izzy Simon a quiet bookworm whose Christmas holiday has been put on hold when she accepts a job as an assistant to Derek Croft. Wanting to make some extra money for the holidays, she never imagined that Derek would end up being a handsome but grumpy author who also happens to write children’s books. But when he makes it clear that he doesn’t need her, she is ready to go back home when he suddenly makes her a proposition that would end up benefiting both; to be his live-in girlfriend for the holidays. Yet everything starts to change the minute they start to get to know more about each other that would lead to them developing feelings for one another.

Derek Croft doesn’t have much of a Christmas spirit, he is happy with how his life is with his dog as a companion, but when Izzy arrives to his house as his assistant he starts to doubt the life that he has created for himself. He finds himself wanting to make her happy and that could end hurting them both in the end. Nevertheless, Derek is happy to spend time with her but when trust is broken between them he’ll have to decide if a relationship is worth it or not in the end.

I very much enjoyed reading this story, both of the characters have their own pasts and they somehow are able to help each other move on from them. The whole book has a Beauty and the Beast vibe that I’m sure a lot of people are going to love. The author has done a good job making the characters relatable which made them that much more interesting to read. Izzy is caring and a hardworking woman who happens to be love books and her relationship with her grandmother. While Derek can be a jerk at times, he is totally swoon worthy when he lets loose with Izzy. He has his own demons that he needs to overcome, and all he needed was a push from her to make him see what’s important in his life. Though the two are polar opposites, they compliment each other and their relationship ends up working so well. I absolutely loved the ending, you will not want to miss it! :)

My Review:

The Billionaire Christmas Baby by Marion Lennox was a such sweet and addicting book to read. I mean, who wouldn’t want a hot billionaire for Christmas?!? Lennox was able to capture the Christmas spirit while bringing us a great romance as well. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Runny Raye, a hotel maid who has been working really hard to make the holidays special for her family. After being in charge of her siblings at a young age, Sunny has put her life on hold while they grew up. Now that they’re living with her grandparents, Sunny wants to make sure they all have everything they need during the holidays. But when she is asked to clean Max Grayland’s hotel suite, she never imagined that she would end up calming a baby instead. It’s when Max demanded her to stay with him during the holidays to take care of the baby that Sunny agrees, only if they spend the holidays with her family instead. As the two start to spend time with each other, the more we get to learn about their pasts and about the feelings that they’re starting to feel for each other. 

Max Grayland wasn’t expecting to spend the holidays with a baby, but he is now in charge of Phoebe and he needs all the help he can get. But it is the holiday season and he can’t find anyone to help him, but when Sunny enters the room and somehow manages to calm the baby, he knows that he has the right person to him right in from of his eyes. After spending the holidays with her family, he knows that that’s exactly what he wants for Phoebe, and he will not stop at nothing to convince Sunny to give their relationship a chance.

I really enjoyed reading this story, it has a good mix of holiday spirit and a magnetic romance between the characters that will leave you wanting for more. Although Max is demanding at first, he starts to show how sweet he can be with Sunny and Phoebe. He is protective of both of them and wants to make them happy. On the other hand, Sunny is a hard working woman who has struggled to keep her little family together, and when she sees Phoebe he is immediately taken with her. There were some scenes that really had me in tears towards the end, so be prepared! The ending was perfect, it really tied everything together really well. I would highly recommend reading this story, you will not regret it! :)

My Review:

Christmas at the Castle was such a great holiday read that will leave you wanting for more. From the beautiful cover to the intriguing synopsis, McClone delivers a perfect story just in time for Christmas. When Katrina “Kat” Parsons is sent to camp as a teen she never imagined just how her life was going to change after meeting two siblings who turned out to be royalty. Now years later, she is working as a veterinarian when she gets the call that her best friend (Sophie) is getting married and she wants Kat to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. After talking back and forth about the country where her friends are from, Kat is excited to finally get to see their home. But she knows that Sophie’s brother, Guillaume has never really liked her and staying away from him might just be good for the both of them. Kat wants to make sure that Sophie’s day does not get ruined and if she has to put up with people that do not like her she is going to do that for her best friend. 

After being ignored by her parents growing up, Kat has had a rough time connecting to a family even though she was loved by her grandparents, it never really felt the same. It is when she found a best friend in Sophie that she felt like she gain a sister as well. That can’t be said for Sophie’s older brother Gill, as from the moment they met he put a distance between them and never really cared to make a connection with her. Now years later, they meet again in his home of Alistonia, a little European country who happens to be ruled by a monarchy. With the wedding approaching, Kat is on a mission to make her friend happy no matter what but things quickly changed the minute Gill starts to show feelings for her.

Crown Prince Guillaume has never really liked Kat or taken the time to get to know her. Her ways are too different from theirs and he thinks that she’ll be a bad influence on his sister. When he sees Kat entering his castle for the first time he immediately sees just how much she has changed and he is attracted to her. She still has the same attitude, but there is something about older Kat that he is drawn to and he doesn’t like it at all. He suddenly feels the need to put a distance between her and his sister, before she ruins the wedding. Yet, after spending time together that he starts to develop different feelings towards Kat that could be dangerous for both of them if he is not careful. 

I loved this story, it had me reading non stop until the very end! I think a lot by now love a good royal romance and this one starts different and that’s what I liked about it the most. It’s evident that Kat and Gill don’t have the best relationship at the beginning and he does everything he can to make sure Kat doesn’t ruin his sister’s wedding. We get to learn more about Kat’s parents and why they left as well as why Gill is so uptight when it comes to his role in the family. He has been through a lot as well and when they’re together everything makes sense and they somehow fit together really well. Their interactions were nothing but sweet and you can see that Gill can be kind and caring, the perfect prince charming. I would highly recommend reading this story, it’s a great holiday read that will leave you swooning for the perfect prince charming especially after reading the ending! :)
