My Review:
Adrian Blackstone didn't grew up having everything at his disposal, he worked hard to build his million-dollar business empire, but although he now has succeeded in the business world, he doesn't have what he wants the most. Having worked with his assistant, Rachel Carter for sixteen months without showing his affection towards her has been difficult to maintain for Adrian, yet he knows that he can't ruin their professional job.
Rachel Carter has had a crush on her boss, Adrian Blackstone for a while, but she knows that mixing their professional life with a romantic one is not going to end up well. Yet she is still willing to hide her feelings for him, but little did she know that they will end up getting stranded in the middle of the mountains due to a snowstorm. What begins as a typical work day, ends up with them getting closer by the end of the night and they have to choose whether hiding their feelings is the right thing to do after spending the night together.
Although this is novella and it was short, I really enjoyed reading it. The author did a good job describing the conflict and the resolution of the story in the novella. The story was well-written and engaging as well. Adrian is a hard working men that really fought his way to the top, and now having accomplish everything that he wanted in his career, he is able to focus on what his heart wants. On the other hand, Rachel is a funny character, she has a sense of humor that immediately captivates Adrian and their chemistry is undeniable. The ending was spot on and I highly recommend the book to those that want something short and sweet, filled with the Christmas spirit. :)
