My Review:The Billionaire's Bridal Bargain was such a sweet romantic story about a marriage bargain between to polar opposites that were brought together by convenience.
Not having read any other books by Lynne Graham before, I have to say that I was impressed with the writing and the plot line. I found myself intrigued with the characters, and it does not hurt to have a very good looking Italian billionaire as one of the protagonist. When I read the synopsis, I knew that I had to read it the story, and it ended up being very enjoyable to read.
In the story, we are introduced with Lizzie Whitaker, like anyone else with hopes and dreams, she wants to do something with her life, but she gives that all up for her family. Lizzie has always worked to provide for her father and sister, after her father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, she quit everything to work in the farm full time. Her sister, Chrissie, attends Oxford University, but it's costing a lot of money, and Lizzie alone can't afford to do it all. After he mother left, she has taken the role of being the big sister/mother very seriously, and it is because of that, that she is willing to do just about anything to provide for her family. Her only companion is her dog, Archie, who follows her around where ever she goes. But after endless days working at the farm, what she doesn't expect to see is a very good-looking man in her driveway ready to give her what she wants in exchange for something that she has.
Afraid of what happened when he was young to happen again, Cesare Sabatino promises himself to never get emotionally involved in a relationship ever again. What his ex did to him made him turned to his business, and ended up making him a man with power and money. As a billionaire he has everything that he desires, except for the one thing that his grandmother, Athena, really wants. And so he turns to the source that could potentially help him get his grandmother her wish to visit her old childhood home in the island of Lionos, in the Aegean Sea. When he finds out that Lizzie and her sister are the owners of the island now, he is told that in order for his grandmother to stay the island, he'll have to marry, and if he wants to purchase the island, he will have to potentially have a child to seal the deal.
As the two agree to the terms, they embark in an adventure that will leave them wonder the possibility of love with each other. It is definitely clear that Lizzie is afraid of falling in love, after her mother's experience with man, and having left her father, she is afraid of getting hurt. Although she is a strong independent women, Lizzie has suffered a lot which leads her to not show her feelings. Her insecurities come into play when Cesare's old flame is back, ready to get Cesare back. On the other hand, Cesare knows how to be romantic, and that's how he gets Lizzie to agree to marry him. He truly loves his grandmother, and he is willing to break his own rule so she can go back to her old childhood home.
I enjoyed reading the story and how the characters developed as they face different obstacles. Both have caring personalities, yet they are stubborn in their own ways, which makes them the perfect match. I especially loved the ending, it was cute and satisfying. All in all, I was pleased with the story, and I would recommend checking it out. :)
