Anything He Wants
Lucy Delacourt's temp position isn't quite her dream job but it pays the bills. The highlight of her day is riding the elevator in the mornings with a handsome stranger. But everything changes when the stranger seduces her. Completely out of character, she yields without a fight, but she has no idea her wanton acts with a man whose name she doesn't know will change her life forever. Because the sexy stranger is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries, and one taste isn't nearly enough to satisfy his need.

Castaway
As the billionaire pulls Lucy deeper into his world of high stakes business deals and ruthless takeovers, he demands nothing less than her complete surrender. But Jeremiah has no place in his life for love, and as Lucy falls deeper for him, she risks having her heart shattered. Making matters worse, Jeremiah's fiercest rival is determined to steal Lucy's affection...and to do it, he'll show her the sinister side of Jeremiah's opulent world. With nowhere to turn and no one to trust, there's only one thing Lucy knows for sure: she'll never be free from Jeremiah's sweet possession.

My Review:

Not having read any of Sara Fawakes' works before I did not what to expect before reading the book. Surprisingly I was hooked from the very beginning, there were of course the steamy sexy scenes between the two main characters and lots of twist and turns to the story that was very hard to put down. The whole book consists of two books in one, in Anything He Wants, we get introduced to Lucy Delacourt, a college drop out student who has had her fair share of unfortunate events in her life. After her parents died, she had to now choice but to drop out of college and start working right away. She was struggling financially, when she got a temp position at Hamilton Industries she was happy to be able to provide for herself and hopefully get her parents' house back. But that soon changes when she sees a handsome stranger in an elevator at the same time every morning. Soon she finds herself anticipating the next day just to see him again, then one day the stranger returns her stare and finds himself trying to seduce her. Not bothering to get his name when they first meet, Lucy tries to move on only to have the stranger contact her again, this time she notices that the stranger who she just had sex with is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries and her boss.

There is not denying the attraction that they have, and soon Lucy finds herself finding out Jeremiah's darkest secrets, what he used to be and what he likes in the bedroom. Jeremiah knew from the very beginning that he wanted Lucy, but in his world there are dangers that he cannot control. He becomes overprotective towards Lucy and the need to control her and her safety is what he aims to keep doing no matter what. In Castaway, both characters have developed a relationship that neither of them expected to be in, when danger threatens to keep them apart, they'll have to risk everything to save those they love.

Both of the main characters have secrets to hide, secrets that they have kept hidden to protect themselves and those they love. I found myself intrigued with Jeremiah's character, he is your typical handsome CEO that holds the ultimate power in the company. What intrigued me the most was just how sweet and caring he could be, even those it could pass as overprotective he made Lucy feel safe. He is someone who is not used to being challenged, but Lucy is the one that has been doing that from the very beginning. It is very clear that he has had some troubles in the past, that we get to find out throughout the book. On the other hand, Lucy was a difficult character to like at times throughout the book, she just kept making the wrong decisions knowing what the outcome was going to be that made me dislike her a bit. There was major character development on her part though, at the beginning one could say that she was a bit naïve yet the more she was put in different situations the more she started seeing the world in a different way.

Now I know this book is supposedly all about the dominant and the submissive, but I was happy to read an actual story and not just sex scenes. At the very end there is a short novella/story of what happens to them after Castaway ends, and really enjoyed it! The very very very ending was a bit shocking, but it fit with the overall story somehow. We do get introduced to quite a few characters throughout the book that become essential to their story, one character in particular was my second favorite just because he is Jeremiah's total opposite. He had me laughing and giggling at some of the stuff he said, yet his relationship with the main characters is what decides the very end. Overall, I really enjoyed reading the book, if you like this type of genre then you would definitely enjoy Lucy and Jeremiah's story. :)

My Rating: 4.5/5
