He's the perfect kind of trouble...
Zoe Davenport is on her way to a perfect, idyllic, private resort, where there's no ex-fiancé and definitely no public scandal involving said ex-fiancé. But one look at the exceptionally sexy resort owner, and Zoe wonders if she's escaped scandal just long enough to land herself in even hotter water...
Except that Ryder Nash isn't exactly a stranger. He and Zoe used to live next door to each other. She was the sweet little temptation who couldn't stand him-the bad boy with a loud car and a new girl every weekend. What Zoe doesn't know is that all those years ago, her father paid Ryder off...to keep him away from her.
And if Ryder gives into the fiery attraction that rages between them-even for a moment-he'll lose everything all over again...

My Review:
Not having read any other works by the author before, I was impressed with the story plot and the writing. I was captivated with the characters’ backgrounds that I just had to keep reading until the very end. So far I’ve read a couple books from the Men of the Zodiac series, and I haven’t been disappointed at all, so I highly recommend reading them as well.
As for this particular book, it begins by introducing Zoe Davenport, she has the perfect life thanks to her father that has been the one able to control it ever since she was little. Now after ending her very public engagement, she wants to get away from everyone involved (including her family) until news of her cheating fiancée disappear from the media. Soon she finds herself being whisked away to a private resort under a different name to secure her privacy. Little did she know that the owner of the resort was non other than teenage crush, Ryder Nash. Now she has to deal with seeing him all the time while sharing a private villa together. But as the two start to spend more time together, the more she wants to throw everything out the window and actually pursue a relationship with Ryder, but she can’t help to feel that Ryder is hiding something from her. And she is willing to do anything to find out what that secret is.
Ryder Nash didn’t grew up with much, while he was in high school trying to make ends meet, he was secretly wishing to get out of the town that always looked down on him. But when he caught his neighbor looking at him, he knows right away that he can’t deny the attraction that he has towards Zoe, but before he could make a move on her, someone gets in the way and that is when his departure comes in handy, while making himself a billionaire years later. Now he has to get ready to open his new resort and wants everything to be perfect for the opening day, but when he sees Zoe arrive everything changes. Soon he has to find a way to keep himself away from her or risk losing everything that he has worked so hard to get.
From the start it is evident that both of the main characters have had difficult pasts, but having already met before takes their chemistry to the next level. I personally liked Ryder, he is your typical badass character with a soft side to him that made him likable. There were times when I felt that the story was a bit slow, but as I kept reading on it got so much better. The ending was great, it tied the story nicely which I liked. Overall, I recommend the story to those that want to read a quick romantic story full of surprises and steamy scenes. :)
