Maddie McCarthy is single, between jobs, and (oh, the shame) lives with her mother. To make matters worse, she's the maid of honor for her sister's wedding, and desperately needs a date. Then she sees her salvation—Match Made Easy, a service for women in Maddie’s exact position. If she can't find a boyfriend, she'll do the next best thing...

Hire one.

Trent Montgomery isn't actually part of Match Made Easy. He's just doing a favor for his cousin, but one look at the blonde who hired him, and he's totally hooked. Now Maddie thinks that the attraction sizzling between them is just “part of the package.” And Trent is running out of time to prove to her that her date-for-hire might just be her happily-ever-after...

My Review:

Wedding Date for Hire follows the story of Maddie McCarthy, whose family thinks she is suffering from a curse after having all her relationships fail. Now she has to face her family at her sister's wedding, in which she is actually that maid of honor. To make things worse, Maddie has to find a date as soon as possible or her family is going to be all over her during the wedding festivities. With nothing to lose, she turns to Match Made Easy, a matchmaking company that offers dates-for-hire. Only that after she hires her fake boyfriend, she finds out that she actually used to know the guy, and that she had a massive crush on him. Which ends up helping her when they're around her family, but the more time they spent together, the more she started to realized that she was falling in love with him.

All Trent Montgomery wanted was to help out his cousin by pretending to be one of her employees. Now he is going to be Maddie's fake boyfriend at her sister's wedding, and he can't help to notice just how much she has changed since he last saw her. But with his job on the line, he has to make things work with Maddie by pretending to be the perfect boyfriend in front of her family. Little did he know that by spending more time with her he would eventually start to think of their future together. Determined to make things work for them, he is willing to prove to her that he might just be her happily-ever-after.

There were a lot of things that I loved about this book, not having read any other works by the author before, I was impressed with the plot and the characters. It is evident from the very beginning that the characters are attracted to each other, and their chemistry just keeps growing throughout the book. Both have reasons to be with each other, but soon those reasons get on the way of their happiness. Although Maddie started with a lot of doubts, she did eventually grew out of them and started to listen to herself rather than her family. She was a tough character to follow in terms of character development, because it was a bit all over the place. On the other hand, Trent knew that he wanted and went for it without giving things a second thought. In a way, he was the one that changes Maddie and with that they were able to grow closer. The ending brought everything nicely together, and we do get a satisfying end. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a quick romance book filled with sweet and funny moments between the main characters. This book is definitely worth picking up. :)
