My Review:
When Roman asked Rourke to marry him, she immediately said yes without pausing to think of what her future would be like as the new Mrs. Menshikov. It is just after they’ve gotten married that her life started changing. She can no longer be his assistant as she is married to a billionaire and that makes her an incredibly wealthy woman. With her new life comes a lot of challenges as Rourke learns to navigate Roman’s world. But her abrupt wedding didn’t leave her with the chance to get to know Roman really well and she is still adjusting to his abrupt mood swings. Yet, there are new things that are starting to scare her and that is losing her identity, one that she fought so hard to get her independence and success. It’s important for Rourke to understand Roman’s life, but that quickly changes everything when she finds out his darkest secrets, ones that he didn’t bother telling her about before they got married. With her marriage in jeopardy, Rourke will have to decide if she can truly move on with their marriage or cut ties with the man that she loves the most.
For the past thirty years, Roman has been chasing something unknown, until he met Rourke. She has given him a new light to his life and he wants to give her everything his money can offer. But there are secrets that he has been hiding from her, ones that can ruin his marriage. He knows that he is doing everything to protect her, but when a sudden change of events put her at risk. He will have to learn to trust her if they are going to have a future together.
I’m loving this trilogy, there was so much suspense and mystery in this book that had me at the edge of my seat the entire time that I was reading it. The chemistry of the characters is still off the charts, it’s passionate and it’s because of how much they love each other that they can’t seem to stay away from one another. In this book, we get to learn more about Roman’s country and why he is working it the way he has been for a very long time. Rourke starts to see how much life has change and will continue to change as wife of a very wealthy man. She is no longer the assistant, but the boss and that role scares her at first. But when secrets are revealed everything changes and the end will leave you wanting for more. We get a cliffhanger and the next book promises to be just as good. Will definitely continue to read the next and final book in the trilogy. Highly recommend checking it out! :)

My Review:
Rourke Menshikov’s life has completely changed ever since learning about Roman’s darkest secret. But things get more complicated when a new challenge presents itself to them and she doesn’t know if their love will able to survive another hit. Yet, she isn’t giving up just yet and to understand her husband, she needs to learn more about his world. It is when he shows her that part of himself that she slowly starts to understand his motives for wanting to save his country.
Ever since losing an important person in his life, Roman has found himself more alert than ever. He vowed to protect his wife with his life and that is exactly what he plans to do if anyone threatens Rourke or their marriage again. When his past comes to light, Roman will have to face another round of challenges in order to protect their future.
I loved the story overall, it was sweet and steamy! Roman has to prove himself to Rourke in this story and he is very sweet when it comes to making her happy. There are a lot of steamy moments that had me swooning and rooting for the characters. While there is a lot of romance in this book, we get to learn more about Roman’s past. We also get to see how Rourke is able to became her own person and be courageous enough to be Roman’s equal. She proves to be a great heroine at the end. While the story was great, I do wish the author could have explained a few things a bit further. Yet, the ending was still sweet nonetheless and a definite must-read for me. I cannot wait to read more about the author in the future. :)
