My Review:

From the sexy cover to the intriguing synopsis, Katy Regnery brings a story about two individuals who are so caught up in their work lives that they never thought about starting a romance until it’s too late.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet, Faye Findley, owner of Findley Imports her family’s company. She is a her dentist’s office when she happens to flip through a magazine and sees an ad that takes her by surprise. Someone is seeking a holiday companion for an intimate New Year’s weekend in Fairbanks, Alaska. Having spent holidays by herself, Faye knows how it feels to not enjoy the holidays with family. As she lost her parents and that’s how she became the head of the company. It is her hard work that has been able to make sure her younger sister wants for nothing and that has made Faye happy. Yet, there are times when she wishes she could spend the holidays with a special someone. But the only thing that it’s getting on her way is her virginity and by answering the ad, Faye hopes to do the deed while spending time with a mysterious stranger. Little did she know that her life was about to change forever, especially after she starts to fall for said stranger.

Trevor Starling has been hurt in the past, ever since his ex-fiancee left him he hasn’t been able to move on entirely. He has poured his life to North Star Spirits, a company he founded with his brothers and ever since then they have been able to make it very successful. His job became his number one priority leaving him without any romantic relationships. It is the minute he meets Faye that everything changes. She is changing him for the better, yet there are secrets that both hold that could damage what they have together and he has to find a way to make her see that she is it for him before it’s too late.

I very much enjoyed reading this book! It was sweet and swoon worthy. It’s evident that the characters have chemistry right away and as they get to know each other, it doesn’t take them long for them to start to feel for one another. There is the issue with Faye’s virginity and how she feels that she can’t be without anyone without being judged. That’s when Trevor comes in and makes her feel special and she starts to think that it was worth the wait. They are both workaholics and they are able to step back and enjoy each other’s company the minute they meet. We also get to learn about what happened to Trevor’s ex and Faye’s family. I do wish the book wasn’t as rushed as it felt towards the end. Needless to say, the end was sweet and it brought everything full circle. I would highly recommend reading this book and I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future. :)
