My Review:

Tensions are running high when it comes to Defy, the second book in the Violent Delights Trilogy. Snow delivers a page-turning romance that just keeps getting better.

The story picks up right where it lefts off at the of Claim where a turn of events ends getting Sophia Morelli arrested for a murder that she didn’t commit. But the law is not working on her favor, it seems that Sophia is being used as a pawn against her own family. As the wild and rebellious one in her family, her parents don’t question what’s been talked about her in the press anymore or care. Yet, Sophia is determined to clean her name and defy anyone who wants to bring her down. Meeting Damon Pierce truly turned her world upside down. He has finally met his match in Sophia, she is different from any women he’s encounter, including his previous sub. Needless to say, protecting her turns out to be a lot harder than he originally thought. It makes him wonder if she’ll ever fully trust him or if they are just not meant to be together in the end.

I throughly enjoyed reading Defy, the chemistry between the characters is magnetic and explosive throughout the story. The are a lot more obstacles coming their way and they have learn to lean on each other if they want to be together. Sophia is coming to her own as well, she is determined to have a different fait than her parents. While Damon is dealing with who is after Sophia, he has to face his past in order to give their relationship a real shot. Though we are left with another cliffhanger, I can’t wait to read how the story concludes in the final book in the trilogy. I would highly recommend checking out this book! :)

My Review:

Hayward delivers a sizzling and passionate romance between a billionaire CEO and a supermodel in How the Italian Claimed Her. This opposites-attract romance is about second chances and new beginnings that will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

As the CEO of Francesco Vitale, the legendary Italian fashion house, Christiano Vitale has worked really hard to rebuild his family’s legacy. By bringing his grandfather’s fashion house to new consumers, Christiano is hoping to do that by hiring one of the most influential supermodels around. But hiring Jensen Davis as the face of his brand has only brought the wrong attention to the company. With just weeks out from the launch of the most important collection in Francesco Vitale’s history, Christiano is taking it upon himself to get Jensen to take the job seriously or fire her before it’s too late. Yet, he wasn’t expecting to feel so strongly for Jensen or the need to protect her at all costs. I thoroughly enjoyed reading How the Italian Claimed Her, the story was well-written and the chemistry between the characters was magnetic. Both of the characters have been through so much, they are ready to start fresh but not before overcoming some obstacles getting thrown their way. I loved the different settings in the story and that it takes place in the fashion world. I would highly recommend checking out the story and any other by the author, you won’t regret it! :)

Unforgiving Queen by Eva Winners takes us through a much more twisted and darker romance. Be prepare to dive back into the world where loyalties will get tested and explosive secrets will be revealed.

The story picks up right where it left off in Bitter Prince, after the discovery of a major secret Amon decides to distance himself from Reina. Thinking that with time they can both move on, Amon attends an event with someone whose family has strong connections. He wasn’t expecting to kiss her with Reina witnessing their interaction from afar. The heartbroken look on her face completely devastates him and as she rushes out, he is horrified to see her get hit by a car. That’s when his world turns upside down again. He knows that he should stay away during her recovery, but he can’t.

A part of him still loves her no matter what. With everyone in the underworld wanting to go after Reina, Amon has to be extra careful and protect her at all costs. There is only one way for her to truly be safe and that is through marriage, so when it’s announced that she will be marrying his brother, Amon vows to stop the wedding and finally make Reina his queen. The Stolen Empire Trilogy just keeps getting better, there are lots of shocking twists and turns that had me at the edge of my seat. The chemistry between Amon and Reina is sizzling! We get to see them grow as well and Reina starts to finally see the world behind her dad’s empire. She refuses to be a pawn in the game and starts to fight back. She’s been through so much already so when they find out the hidden truth that was kept from them, it gives her even more reasons to fight for the love of her life. She is ready to be Amon’s queen and claim him as hers. But as just they thought that they were safe, another obstacle gets thrown their way. Although we are left with another cliffhanger, I cannot wait to read what happens next. The epic conclusion is coming! :)

Heard and Louise deliver a relatable and gripping romance in Unforgettable. It will pull at your heartstrings and never let go. A must-read!

I throughly enjoyed reading Unforgettable, the story truly sucks you in from beginning to end. There are trigger warnings for a reason, so be mindful when reading the beginning of the story. I found myself completely connecting with both of the characters so the story felt a lot more emotional for me. We have two characters who have suffered in different ways, but at the end they are able to lean on each other as they go through a series of obstacles together. There is a lot of growth coming from Lillian and we get to see her truly start controlling her own life/future. Their chemistry is magnetic and be ready for those steamy scenes as well! I absolutely loved the ending and I cannot recommend it enough. I can’t wait to read more from the authors in the future! :)

My Review:

As the sixth book in the Souther Wedding Series, Madison delivers a second chance romance in Mine to Promise. It will leave you wanting for more!

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Addison who has been given the chance to plan a wedding as a newly appointed junior event planner. After her live changed five years ago, Addison has worked really hard to start over with her daughter. Until she sees her one-night stand at the wedding that her world turns upside down. Addison never expected to see Stefano again, after all she gets to see a part of him in their daughter everyday. It’s after he realizes that Every is his daughter that he is set on winning them back. But Addison has been hurt in the past, so she has to decide if she is willing to trust Stefan with her heart once again or walk away altogether.

I really enjoyed reading Mine to Promise, it was steamy and the characters were relatable. Although Stefano is not looking to settle down, he finds it hard to be away from Addison and their daughter once he finds out that Avery is his. He is no longer thinking like a bachelor and more like someone who wants to keep his family safe and close. Meanwhile, Addison has been through so much and fears of not being enough to get Stefano to pick them. All in all, the story was a great read and I would highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a second chance romance!

“Come out with me,” the guy was saying.

If she agreed, I was going to lose it, not in an, I’ll-say-something-snarky way but in an I’m-going-to-jail sort of way.

“You better get her under control,” the guy demanded.

“No one is getting me under control.” Lexi pulled out a Taser, brandishing it.

Her attacker raised his arm like he was going to slap her.

I moved toward him, grabbed him by the throat, and lifted him up. His legs kicked as he squirmed.

I brought him to my face and slowed down my movement, channeling my father when he was at his most frightening, when he had us all cowering in a sludge of fear and self-loathing in front of him.

“If I ever see you again, I will skin you.”

I dropped him, and the guy scrambled along the dirty ground away from me.

“I was just playin’. I didn’t mean anything,” he choked out, face still red.

I didn’t say a word.

The creep swallowed hard then scrambled to his feet to stumble off.

I turned slowly to Lexi.

“I told you,” I said softly. I could still feel my father’s anger wrapped around me. I expected to see the same fear I knew all too well from my mother’s face, my brothers’ faces, my own.

Lexi didn’t seem fazed or scared. Instead she seemed pissed.

“I don’t need you to white knight in here swinging your hot dog around with both hands, trying to prove a point.”

“A hot dog?”

“No reason it can’t have a little flair,” she said. “See, look, there’s Cinderella. Oops!” She yelped when the Taser shocked me.

I strangled a curse then slapped the pink Taser out of her hand.

“This isn’t even charged.”

“Jiminy Cricket. I knew I forgot something,” she muttered.

“I’m taking you home right now.”

“I’m here working.”

“I’m literally your boss,” I exploded, the cold, quiet anger giving way to the safer, hotter fury. “I never told you to be out here in the middle of the night wandering around dark alleys.” I grabbed her hand.

“I have pepper spray,” she warned, twisting in my grasp.

“And yet somehow I am not intimidated,” I replied as I hauled her toward my car.
