πŸ”– REVIEW BLITZ πŸ”– Married with Malice by Cora Brent

Married with Malice by Cora Brent

Release Date: December 5, 2024
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

The wedding was supposed to be my sister’s fate.

An alliance between two legendary mafia families just like in the old days.

But when my sweet, beautiful older sister fell for a civilian and eloped in spite of our father’s edict, mafia mayhem ensued.

Now, to save my sister and her clueless new husband from a date with a Cosa Nostra executioner, I’m taking her place.

No doubt everyone would have preferred the alternative bride. Especially the groom.

Luca Connelly. Master manipulator. Crown prince of his uncle’s blood-splattered empire.

And my nemesis since high school.

Luca, with his charm and muscle and sinful looks, believes the world is his for the taking.

He might be right.

Luca is good at fooling everyone else. However, he’ll never fool me.

He’s still the same callous, arrogant villain who used to delight in my torment.

Not that I’m innocent. The scorching hostility between us is completely mutual.

Too bad there are a few things I didn’t count on.

Like the way I can’t get enough of his touch.

Or how I keep coming back for more no matter how volatile we are together.

I know this is no recipe for a happy marriage.

But the closer I get to Luca, the more the lines get blurred.

My mistake was to assume that I was in full control.

I was so sure my heart could never fall for my husband.

Only now that it’s too late am I learning how very wrong I was…

My Review:

Not having read any other books by Brent before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading Married with Malice. Needless to say, this steamy enemies-to-lovers mafia romance had me hooked from beginning to end! A must-add to your TBR list.

For Annalisa Barone being the middle child had its perks, she wouldn’t be tasked to unite two very important families. That is until her older sister backs out and in a matter of seconds Anni’s fate completely changes. Now she has to marry her childhood nemesis in order to save her siblings from their dad’s wrath. It didn’t matter what her dreams were, Anni’s whole life has been dependent on pleasing her dad and she has no choice but to marry into another mafia family. What makes things worse is that Luca Connelly is about to become her husband and she will do anything in her power to not fall for his charm.

Luca’s future wasn’t supposed to involved being part of the mafia. His older brother worked really hard to make sure to give Luca that chance, until he found a way out, leaving Luca to face the consequences. Now he is about to marry Annalisa, the woman he’s been lusting after for so long. It’s not his intention to force her to be with him, but after a feisty banter gets steamy, lines are crossed. Neither of them expected anything to come from their marriage, yet Luca is set on convincing Anni to give them a chance.

I absolutely loved reading Married with Malice, the banter between Luca and Anni is on another level. It’s entertaining and steamy. Though their chemistry was a bit bumpy at the beginning, those two quickly give into their lust and it’s explosive. They might be complete opposites, but they soon find out that they have a lot in common when it comes to being in the mafia world. Luca’s whole life was planned to not be involved with the family business, until he has to take his brother’s place that he realizes just how heavy his new life is going to become. Annalisa becomes his comfort and he doesn’t want to let her go. I loved the suspense in the book as well. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book if you are in the look for a steamy mafia read. :)

🌟 BOOK BLITZ 🌟 How to Solve a Murder with a Grump by Laura Pauling {EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY!}

How to Solve a Murder with a Grump by Laura Pauling

Release Date: October 8, 2024
Pages: 291
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Contemporary, Mystery, Romance

Barrie:

I am determined to make my best friend’s wedding weekend perfect. That includes editing the best man’s speech and making sure he doesn’t drink too much.
Except, he’s the worst kind of grump with a capital G.
Not only that but when this perfect wedding unravels, I find myself the object of his wrath.
He blames me.
So I run.
And I’m wearing the wedding dress. (Don’t ask.)
As I hide out in a small town, following my dreams, I stumble upon a decades-old murder mystery.
Turns out texting the grump might be my only lifeline. And I’m definitely not flirt-texting. Nope. Not me.
Because falling for a grump can only lead to a broken heart.
Right?

Miles:

For the record, I am not a grump.
It’s not me. It’s them.
It’s women.
I’m looking forward to the wedding this weekend. My best friend is getting married.
And the maid of honor texts me.
Not just once.
Oh, no, because that would be much too sensible. Nope. Try a dozen. It felt like a hundred.
I can tell by a glance at the texts that she’s one of those micro-managing, in your business, thinks-she-knows-everything type of woman.
Forget it.
I don’t want her number. I don’t want coffee. I don’t want a date.
I don’t want a single conversation.
Okay, fine. I’m a grump.
But can you blame me?

How to Solve a Murder with a Grump is a full-length hilarious romantic mystery with a swoony, heart-thumping, happily-ever-after kind of ending complete with glitter bombs, snapping turtles (imaginary or not), a decades-old murder, and grand romantic gestures.

{EXCERPT}

(Miles, Chapter 3)

I almost respond to her text, then I don’t.

Yes, she’s been sending me a ridiculous number of texts. I’m trying to have a beer with my best friend before he ties the knot, and she keeps interrupting.

Maybe she has an illness. A texting disorder.

No, I haven’t responded to the maid of honor, who is texting like the world’s about to end.
You can go ahead and judge me.

I know you want to.

But try, just try and keep an open mind to my side of the story.

It isn’t the first time I’ve been called a grump. It isn’t the second or the third time, either. In fact, I’m growing into the moniker. It’s me. I kind of like it. The grump with a capital G.

But it’s been twice in one day.

The first time, the clearly insane but gorgeous woman with all the suitcases shouted it at me after the elevator doors closed.

And now, the maid of honor sends me texts that make no sense—so I ignore her. While at the same time, the groom, my best friend, tries to tell me all about how perfect Jillian’s best friend is for me. Her name is Barrie Croft, he says. She’s perfect for you, he says. Just a coffee date, he says.

Right.

Sure.

What guy wants to receive a million texts a day from anyone? No thanks.

Three abandoned cowboys, born in heartbreak and bonded by brotherhood, are brought together by the fierce love of the grandparents who took them in and the ranch that’s the only home they’ve ever known…

Surly cowboy, Ford Lassiter, named after the truck his dad was driving when he’d left him and his mother, has only known abandonment and doesn’t trust relationships—until he shares an intimate weekend at a wedding with a woman he met by chance. If she has the courage to find out…

{EXCERPT}

Willa's POV

“Is this the only table you have available?”

My eyes cannot be deceiving me. I’m standing in a restaurant with no one else in it, save another couple at the opposite end of the room. Surely the only table they have for me to sit at is not the one that happens to be directly beside Noah? Not to mention the fact the place is small enough I’d practically be sitting at his table anyway, the tables are that close to one another.

The young girl looks at me woefully. “I’m really sorry, but we’re full with reservations tonight.” Her tone is apologetic, and she’s young, so I’m not going to debate the situation … but still. The odds. I flex my hands, stretch my fingers, and take a deep breath, trying to fight back my irritation when I see a sliver of my tattoo under my sleeve.

Believe. Ha. I almost snort out loud. How about I believe I’m Harry Potter and I cast a quick spell to time travel to another restaurant in another town altogether?

“What about the bar?” I nod my head toward the old wooden bar where an older woman is busy making drinks and watching me through narrowed eyes. “Looks like there’s space there.”

“Our bartender isn’t on duty for another hour.” When I shoot her a questioning look, obviously confused by the woman pouring herself a soda from the beverage gun, the young girl stammers. “I’ve been asked to not have anyone sit there until his shift begins.”

So this fact leaves me to be seated by the blight that plagues me. Yes, I’m being ridiculously overdramatic, but the thought of chewing my dinner and having to stare at Noah, or work hard to look anywhere in this room besides at Noah, turns me off in the biggest way. Like a light switch after a big night out. I didn’t go to that party tonight because I wanted some time alone, time to myself to plan out the schedule I need to juggle in the days ahead.

“Fine,” I say with a sigh, pulling out my notebook and phone. When I look Noah’s way, he’s watching me, his expression frozen. I can’t read him, but he could be as weirded out that I’m about to be seated beside him as I am. I’ll save us both the trouble. I pick the chair where my back will be facing him and pull it out and settle in.

The hostess hands me the menu and asks for a drink order before she disappears from sight. I make a mental note to apologize to her. Poor thing. It’s not her fault she’s seated me next to the devil.

“Hi, Willa.” Of course his voice is like hot chocolate. The devil’s would be velvety and delicious. My instincts tell me to ignore him, but I’m here to work. I can hear my mom’s voice in the back of my mind telling me to play nice.

I pick up the menu and fake peruse it. Fake because of course I can’t think about anything else right now except that he’s right there.

“Hello, Noah. Fancy running into you at dinner.”

“A man’s gotta eat,” he responds.

“No doubt, but when I heard about the party happening in town tonight, I figured you’d be the first one signed up to be there.” I flip a page of the menu a little more aggressively than intended and manage to rip it a tiny bit. Must. Breathe.

“Contrary to past reports, I’m not the guy who goes to all the parties any longer.”

I want to turn around and face him, see the look on his face, but the stubborn part of me refuses. He’s the one who is engaging me; I can only imagine that eventually my lack of wanting to chat will catch on and he’ll focus on something else.

“So, you’re telling me a leopard can change his spots. That’s nice,” I manage to say, doubt dripping with each word. Holding my menu up in the air for him to see. “But, the jury’s still out as far as I’m concerned. If you’ll excuse me, I need to decide on my meal.”

There’s a pause before he answers. “Of course, sorry. I’ll leave you to it.”

A weight slides off my shoulders. Was it really that easy? I decide it has to be and go about choosing my meal, landing on the lasagna, then turning my attention to my notebook. This was to be a planning session for Noah’s photos amongst other work, and I intend to stay focused, even if he is right behind me and I can hear him breathing.

πŸ”– REVIEW BLITZ πŸ”– Just One More Mistletoe by Carly Phillips

Just One More Mistletoe by Carly Phillips

Release Date: October 15, 2024
Pages: 71
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

What happens under the mistletoe stays under the mistletoe…

Brandy Bloom plans to seduce the man of her dreams at an office Christmas party but finds herself kissing his twin, instead. One night only is her plan but Max Corbin has other ideas. The sexy elf who kissed him under the pretend mistletoe is a special woman he has no plans of letting go.

My Review:

A mistaken identity at an office Christmas party turns into so much more in Phillips’s third book in The Sterling Family Series. Just One More Mistletoe will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end!

As the year is coming to an end, Brandy Bloom is ready to start the next chapter of her life away from the bustling city and onto the suburbs of Long Island. Her life has come in a long way and Brady is at a point in her life where she is truly happy. Yet, it’s time to move on and she can’t leave the office until she seduces the man she’s desired for a while now. But her plans to spend the night with Stephan Corbin do not end up working out like she planned. Instead, Brandy finds herself kissing the wrong twin. If it weren’t for his brother that invited him to the office Christmas party, Max Corbin, would never had the chance to meet the gorgeous woman dressed as an elf. The minute their eyes connected, Max knew that she was different from other women. Their electrifying chemistry is what ultimately gives Max the more reasons to make Brandy his for good.

Though the story was short and sweet, Brady’s story packs a punch as she gets to know Max. It’s clear that they have a lot in common and they’re able to relate to each other right away. Brandy’s walls enables her to give people the chance to get to know her. Which makes Max that much more adamant to let her see who he really is and give her the chance to see if they can have their happily-ever-after. I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others by the author. You will not regret it! :)

πŸ”– REVIEW BLITZ πŸ”– Bound by a Promise by Aleatha Romig

Bound by a Promise by Aleatha Romig

Release Date: October 14, 2024
Pages: 322
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Arranged-marriage, age-gap, Mafia/cartel romance, forbidden

Due to my birth order as child of the capo of the Luciano famiglia, I’m used to second place.

Second son.

Second in standing.

Never number one.

It’s the way my life has always been.

Only in the dark alleys, private clubs, and seedy establishments am I respected. Not just as the consigliere to my brother, the new capo of the Kansas City Famiglia, but also for my unmatched skills with a knife and my particular skills of interrogation. This status is as high as I will achieve. First place will forever be out of reach.

Camila Ruiz is the youngest daughter of Andres Ruiz, a top lieutenant in the RorΓguez cartel. From the first moment I laid eyes on her, I knew I wanted her. She is too young and fragile to be with a man like me, a killer and criminal. I don’t deserve a woman like Camila. Taking her would ruin her.

With the newly established alliance between the Luciano famiglia and RorΓguez cartel, I ask for the impossible and promise my life. With the blessing of my capo and the RorΓguez drug lord, Camila is to be mine.

For once, I will be first in another’s eyes. And Camila will always be first to me.

What happens when the fragile alliance is tested?

Can I keep my promise to my wife and my oath to the famiglia?

Have you been Aleatha’d?

My Review:

As the third book in the Brutal Vows Series, Romig delivers a steamy romance between two powerful houses in the mafia and the cartel. Bound by a Promise is filled with suspense to keep you at the edge of your seat.

At the beginning of the book, we are introduced to Dante Luciano, right-hand man of his older brother Dario Luciano, capo of the Kansas City Famiglia. As the youngest male heir, Dante has always been second compared to his brother. But now that his siblings have gotten married, starting a relationship is not on his radar. Until he meets Camila Ruiz at his brother’s wedding. She has always been out of reach, being the youngest Ruiz in the family. The age-gap between them is what prevented Dante from reaching out to her, though the attraction has always been there. Ever since his brother cemented their family’s alliance with the cartel by marrying the eldest Ruiz sister, there are outside forces who feel threatened by this new allegiance. Everything changes when those forces start to go after the cartel and his need to protect Camila poses him to ask her to marry him, not expecting just how much their lives were about to change forever.

I really enjoyed reading Bound by a Promise, the chemistry between Camila and Dante is magnetic from the very beginning. There is no denying that the two are attracted to each other, yet coming from two different powers makes it difficult for Camila to trust him right away. Liking him is accepting his world and she doesn’t want to be part of the cartel at all. There are rules that she doesn’t agree with and it makes it difficult for Camila to not develop feelings for Dante. He is not like other men, instead Dante really wants to gain her trust by giving her the choice of what’s going to be the rest of her life. There are dangers that come with their worlds and they are about to face their biggest obstacle in order to get their happily-ever-after. Overall, the story was solid and steamy, if you are looking for a forbidden romance than I would highly recommend checking it out. :)

πŸ”– REVIEW BLITZ πŸ”– Brutal Bargain by Laurelin Paige

Brutal Bargain by Laurelin Paige

Release Date: October 9, 2024
Pages: 530
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

She needs a husband. He won’t let anyone else have her.

Ax Morgan has played many roles in my life: My brother’s best friend. The most notorious member of the Sebastian News Corp executive team. My enemy with benefits.

But my husband?

No thanks.

Our after hours scenes are simply a convenient way for me to blow off steam while I plot my exit from my toxic family’s company.

But when I need a groom so I can claim my inheritance, he presents me with a choice that’s more like blackmail—marry him, or he’ll sabotage me. So between the devil and the deep blue sea, I let the devil put a ring on it.

Turns out this is the role he plays best of all.

The worst part of pretending with Ax is how real it's starting to feel.

Now my future is in his hands. And if he finds out what I'm planning, he'll be the one with the impossible choice. Who loses everything—his best friend or his fake wife?

My Review:

In Paige’s latest sizzling romance, Brutal Bargain, a marriage of convenience between enemies is about to change their lives forever.

As the head of HR for the Sebastian News Corp, Adly Sebastian has grown up surrounded by wealth and antiquated mindsets. It does’t help that her family’s company is stuffed with traditional men, including her dad who doesn’t give her the chance to move up like her other male relatives. The company doesn’t have the most female-friendly environment, so when Adly gets the chance to get out of the company, she can’t wait to run her own. But that soon changes when Adly finds out that to access her trust fund she’ll have to get married. The list of potential suitors is short, leaving her with no choice but to agree to marry her brother’s best friend and her enemy, Axel Morgan. He is infuriating, constantly taunting her, but also happens to be a really good kisser. What starts off as marriage of convenience it turns into so much more the longer they spend together. Leaving them questioning their motives as we as their future together.

I really enjoyed reading Brutal Bargain, the chemistry between the characters is off-the charts no matter how much they want to deny the attraction towards each other. We have two individuals who have similar backgrounds, ready to go against those that have wronged them in order to create their own futures. Ax is ready to help Adly gain access to her trust fund as long as she marries him, he’ll keep her future plans quiet. There is a part of him that has always wanted her and now he has the perfect way to keep her close. While Adly is not looking to start a relationship until Ax starts to break some of her walls. He is everything that she wasn’t actively looking for, now she just hopes that he doesn’t break her heart. All in all, the story is swoon worthy and the ending will leave you wanting for more!

Snarky, witty, always smiling.
Constantly putting me in my place.
Making me second-guess my decisions.
I dislike it. Intensely.

Then Magnolia Myers becomes my favorite person.
Which I hate.
Two people working together, disliking each other.
Until they don’t.
Then the fun begins.
HR has never been so entertained.

Author's For those on the lookout for a hero who's so charming when he's bossy that it makes you want to follow his orders just to keep him talking.

My Review:

Moreland delivers a charming romance in My Favorite Boss. As the second book in the My Favorite Series, this grumpy/sunshine story will leave you wanting for more!

As a sought-after landscape architect, Alexander Bane has a reputation for expecting the very best when it comes to those working with him. He has worked hard to get to where he is, so he expects his personal assistant to work just as hard. Needless to say, Alexander has gone through a lot of assistants and everyone at the office has started to notice. Leaving HR at a complete lost, gives Alexander the chance to hire the perfect assistant on his own.

But after interviewing other candidates, he is ready to give up when he bumps into a woman who looks like a beautiful mess begging to see the boss. He never expected to be attracted to her, but her ability to quickly tell him how she can an asset for him is what ultimately gets him to hire Magnolia Myers. It’s her spunk that Alexander likes along with her foamy coffees that start to win him over. Magnolia is not like his other assistants, she truly cares for him and he can’t get enough of her. It’s when the lines are crosses that all bets are off and he wants to keep her for good.

After the way her day started on the wrong foot, Magnolia can’t lose the chance to interview for Balanced Designs. It’s her chance to snag the assistant job for the landscape architect, Alexander Bane. With her luck, Maggie is running late and as she gets out of the elevator, the most handsome stranger bumps into her. Not realizing that she would be meeting her future boss, Alexander gives her ten minutes of his time to win him over. That’s exactly what she does and the job is hers. Soon Magnolia starts to see how demanding the job can with him as a boss and makes her mission to be valuable so that it’s hard for Alexander to let her go. Yet, nothing could have prepared her for the growing feelings for him. Alexander Bane is so much more than what people would expect of him to be, he is the complete opposite with her and falling for him might be too late.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading My Favorite Boss, the humor that Moreland brings to the story is what made me fall in love with Maggie and Alexander’s story. Between the sassy comments and banter between the characters, this story is a must read! Moreland is a great writer and her newest release doesn’t disappoint. It is truly a grumpy/sunshine story that follows two opposites who attract while finding out just how much they can rely on each other. While Alexander is afraid of developing feelings for Maggie, because of previous experiences. Maggie is ready to show just how trustworthy she is and that they can have their happily-ever-after. With the ending perfect for their story, I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others by the author!

It should have been one of the days of her life, getting to pick out a wedding dress, but for Zara Petrov, it would turn her life upside down. Finding out that her fiancΓ© has been cheating on her for a while is what ultimately leads Zara to leave New York in order to get some peace and quiet. A distraction is what she needs and when she meets the mysterious bartender, all bets are off when they realize just how much chemistry they have with each other. What it was supposed to be a one-night thing turns into so much more the the minute they find out that she is pregnant with his baby. Gabriel shows her a whole new life in the south, away from the noisy city and her ex-fiance. Soon Zara begins to enjoy horse riding and the she could have with her cowboy. However, both of them have separate lives away from one another and they have to decide how they’re moving forward in order to get their happy-ever-after.

Gabriel never expected to feel strongly for Zara, the minute she walked into his family bar. She is gorgeous and the need to be near her is so strong that neither of them can deny the attraction between them. When the lines are crossed and he doesn’t find her the next morning, makes Gabriel realize just how much he wants to make her his for good. He has two weeks to make her see that they can work, before it’s too late.

I absolutely loved reading Meant for Gabriel, we have two opposites who find themselves unable to stay from each other. A city girl and a cowboy whose lives completely change the minute they meet the for the first time. Zara is not looking to get into another relationship right away, especially after they way she finds out that her ex was cheating on her. But Gabriel is different, he is kind and willing to put her first. She starts to enjoy being with him and his family, including his son. So it makes things difficult when they live miles apart. All in all, the story was steamy and swoon worthy. I loved the ending, it was perfect for them and their story. I would highly recommend checking out the book and any other book by the author, you will not regret it! :)

My Review:

Not having read any other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect. Needless to say, Travers had me hooked from beginning to end. One Wealthy Wedding is an opposites attract, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance worth adding to your TBR!

Having grown up among the wealthy elite of New York, Catherine (Cat) Peterson never imagined just how much her life was about to change the minute her parents disinherited her. Desperation is the finest motivator when she has no money or a place to call her own. So when she gets offered to work at a bar as a bartender, Cat immediately agrees. Not expecting to bump into her old crush and childhood friend, Theo Archer. He is still just as good looking and charming since she last saw him. Only thing time around, the tables have been turned and Theo is the wealthy playboy whose face is splashed all over gossip magazines, all showing just how life has changed them both. For Theo Archer, begin the housekeeper’s son growing up was difficult, yet what started as hatred toward Cat, ended up becoming something else the minute he kissed her all those years ago. Now destiny has brought them back together, to finally put their differences aside and see if they can find their happily-ever-after all.

I really enjoyed reading One Wealthy Wedding, the chemistry between the main characters was sizzling and steamy. They have a lot more in common than they realize and the story takes them on a journey to revisit old pasts in order to find their future together. Cat is set on to fight for what is rightfully hers, the company that her mom’s family worked really hard to make it a success. When Cat finds out that she needs to be married in order to claim what is hers, she doesn’t just want to marry anyone.

It’s been almost nine years since last time she saw Theo, so when he offers to marry her in order to change his reputation as well, she agrees. For Theo wanting to leave a legacy of his own is imperative to his career. He has worked really hard to get to where he is. But being around Cat has given him a new sense of direction and it makes him want to fight harder to win the heart of the one that got away all those years ago. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read more of the author in the future! :)

My Review:

A hotel maid is about to fall head-over-heals in love with a reclusive billionaire in Bay’s latest release. The Boss + The Maid= Chemistry has the sizzling chemistry and suspense to keep you rooting for the characters until the end!

Although some might call him paranoid, to Bennett Fordham protecting his privacy is essential to how the world perceives his company. As the CEO of a highly successful tech company, Fort Inc., Bennett doesn’t want to attract the attention he grew up with. So he goes to high lengths to keep his identity a secret, until he meets a stunning woman at his hotel’s bar. She is British, young and outspoken. It’s clear that there is instant chemistry between them and when the lines are crossed, it would take the next day to find out that she works at his hotel. There is a part of him that shouldn’t trust Efa, but it’s hard not to when he begins to develop feelings for her. She wants a job at his company and he won’t give in to her that easily.

Efa’s dream to work at Fort Inc. leads her to travel across the pond to New York. But finding the company and getting a job there soon proves to be the hardest part, until she finds out that the guy she slept with is her “boss” and the grumpy billionaire CEO. Yet, she won’t give up until he gives her the chance to prove that she can be part of his company. Though that soon proves to be a hurdle for them as they work on their trusting issues.

I really enjoyed reading The Boss + The Maid= Chemistry, this age-gap romance had me hooked from beginning to end. It’s evident that the characters had a lot in common that made it easier to lean on each other. Though that soon becomes a game of just how much they can trust each other before it’s too late. Highly recommend checking out the story, if you love the tropes in this story. :)

When I first met him, I got butterflies in my stomach.

I thought it was silly and pushed it aside. Avoided him.

Besides, I was taken—unavailable. Or so I thought.

That was before he hired me to take over his company’s PR.

Now that we were working with each other, that meant he was completely off-limits.

Until one night in Vegas.

Nash

They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Unless you ask the woman of your dreams to marry you while you are both drinking tequila.

And she says yes.

She thinks it’s a mistake.

She’s wrong.

Now I have ninety days to show her we’re meant for love.

My Review:

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas when it comes to Madison’s latest release, Meant for Love. As the third book in the Meant For Series, this steamy romance will leave you wanting for more!

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Nash Griffin, head of the west coast division of the Contrell Group, an investment company. A company his parents founded when he was born, while his older brother leading the east coast division. Nash has been given the task to take care of the company’s PR to make it more appealing for the new generation. He immediately thinks of one of the best in the business, the beautiful and totally off-limits, Zoey Richards.

Having met two years ago at a family event, she took his breath away and hasn’t stopped thinking about her ever since. The last thing he heard was that she was in a committed relationship, leaving Nash no choice but to keep moving on. Until, he asks her to come to LA for a few days to check out the company for her to decide if she wants to take them on as clients. Neither of them expected to get the chance to go to Vegas and get drunk enough to get married. Now he has to convince Zoey to give him ninety days to win her over or it will crush his heart to let her go once and for all.

With her future looking uncertain, Zoey Richards decides to brake things off with her boyfriend Josh. After being together for two years, he hasn’t given her the hope of a future together or entertain the idea of getting married one day. So she decides to part ways for now until she is ready to decide what she wants to do. Though her future quickly changes when Nash Griffin calls her after not seeing each other in a while. They met a family vacation he tagged along his brother, who married one of her cousins. Their chemistry was instant and she tried to avoid him ever since. But when he offers her to get her away from New York, Zoey happily agrees. All Zoey has ever wanted is to be married and in a happy relationship, yet when Nash promises to give her all of that and more, somewhere along the way they end up getting married. The reality of her situation comes crushing down the next day and the fact that Nash refuses to give her a divorce. Instead, he asks her to give him a chance and she agrees. Getting to really know him along the way is what makes her realize just how perfect he is for her, but fears that he might hurt her in the end.

I throughly enjoyed reading Meant for Love, it was steamy and entertaining. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts and sizzling. I loved the characters interacting with each other’s families. Nash really tries to woo Zoey, while making her feel cared for and loved. Zoey’s biggest fear is that Nash might be too good to be true and that he will hurt her. So when she starts to get to know him and his family, she realizes that he might just be right for her. All in all, the ending was sweet and special. I would highly recommend checking out the book along with any other book by the author! :)

You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips.
