As the second book in the Dare to Fall Series, Phillips delivers a second chance romance in Falling for Love. This steamy one-night stand story will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

At the beginning of the book we are introduced to Jack Dare, a wealthy businessman who co-owns a successful nightclub in Miami with his friends. With the hopes of expanding, Jack finds himself in Charleston with the mission of finding the right spot. But he wasn’t expecting to meet a beautiful stranger at a cafe and for his life to completely take a different turn. It only took one night to cross the line of no return to come knocking two months later with a positive pregnancy test and a crazy ex to make him want to protect Taylor at any cost. He just needs to convince her that they might just be perfect for each other.

Having grown up among the wealthy of Charleston, Taylor Monroe, is used to rubbing shoulders with influential people. As the director of a community outreach for the charity her dad runs, Taylor’s job is to try to get as many donors to pledge for the charity. A job she does well and for that reason her ex-boyfriend, State Senator Chandler Cross took advantage as he got her to work with the donors on his campaign. But it all ended up becoming a mess and Taylor ultimately finds out just how corrupt her ex is. So when she meets Jack Dare at a cafe and he invites her to his hotel, Taylor doesn’t hesitate to say yes. There is instant chemistry between them and he is easy to talk to. She knows that there can’t ever be anything between them, not when her ex keeps blackmailing her. Yet, Taylor knows that she can turn to Jack when she finds out that their lives will forever be tied to one another.

I throughly enjoyed reading Falling for Love, the characters are magnetic and relatable. They are able to trust in each other and Taylor sees just how protective Jack is of her and the baby. Jack becomes her second chance in love and a new start which Taylor desperately needs. We get a bit of everything in this book, a scandal, suspense and a steamy romance worth adding this book to your TBR! :)

My Review:

What was supposed to be a short arrangement turned into so much more in Phillips’s latest release, Falling for Real. As the second book in the Dare to Fall Series, this romance will leave you wanting for more!

While attending her cousin’s wedding in Key West, Kaylee Martin is hoping that the lack of date can go unnoticed with the rest of her family. Having broken up with her boyfriend not that long ago, she is not ready to face him again. Yet, Mark is part of the wedding party and has brought along his newest girlfriend. So, when her longtime crush, Tristan Hayes pretends to be her date for the wedding. Kaylee goes along with it, not realizing that her heart was about to be put to the test.

When the resort runs out of rooms, Tristan offers to give his room to a couple that was celebrating their anniversary. Leaving him without a room for the wedding weekend, until Kaylee offers to share her room with him. Neither of them bought a date and seeing how her ex treated her was enough for Tristan to offer to be her pretend boyfriend. But the more they got to know each other, the more it became clear that she is it for him, Tristan just has to convince Kaylee to give them a shot before it’s too late.

Overall, I throughly enjoyed reading Falling for Real. This novella might be short, but it packs a punch when it comes to the romance between the characters. They might look like complete opposites, but it’s clear from the very beginning just how similar they both are. While some might think that Tristan is a bit of a playboy, he wants something real and serious. He doesn’t want to waste time dating someone longterm if the chemistry is not there. On the other hand, Kaylee has been hurt in the past and that hasn’t stopped her from wanting something real. It’s the wedding and those around them that ultimately brings them together and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! I would highly recommend checking out Falling for Real, you will not regret it! :)

In Phillips’ latest release, she delivers a sizzling forbidden romance. Falling for Trouble is a great start to the Dare to Fall Series!

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Rainey Dare, a corporate event planner who happens to co-own, Golden Palm Events with her best friend. Having grown up among her well-known footfall family, Rainey has made it very clear from the very start that she wants to earn the coveted spot of planning the Miami Thunder football team’s 50th anniversary— and not because of who she is related to. Getting the job will not only be good publicity, but it will give them the chance to brake free from the bad rep that they got from a disappointed client.

When they hear back that they got the job, Rainey is over-the-moon excited and ready to start working. But first, she has to convince her brother and his associates that throwing the party at their nightclub, Midnight, will be beneficial for everyone. With her brother out of town, Rainey has to work with Lucas Carras. As a reformed and handsome troublemaker, it’s hard to not be attracted to her brother’s best friend. Especially when he is clearly protective of her, making him off-limits to her. Yet, the longer they work together, the harder it becomes for her to not develop feelings for him.

Lucas Carras has worked really hard to get to where he is, as a wealthy entrepreneur his focus has been on making, Midnight, a success. When it comes to love, he does’t do relationships. Lucas has always been respectful of his best friend’s sister, Rainey Dare, but he can’t deny the chemistry that they have. He can tell that there is an attraction between them that makes it difficult to ignore when they have to work together. There are things about his past that he is not happy with, so learning to trust Rainey with his past is what ultimately brings them closer. This makes him realize that Rainey might just be it for him and facing her family could not end up working out.

I throughly enjoyed reading Falling for Trouble, the chemistry between the characters is off-the charts! It’s evident from the start that Lucas has been through a lot and that has shaped his view on love. He doesn’t want to repeat his parents’ past and we see him remain loyal to his best friend. Lucas doesn’t want to hurt those that have embraced him by following his feelings. Needless to say, falling in love with Rainey is what gives him a courage to follow his heart no matter what. He just hopes that she feels the same. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this story as well as any others from Carly Phillips. :)

Phillips and Wilde deliver a second chances and new beginnings romance in Just a Little Desire. This steamy romance will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

In this story we are introduced to Liam Powers, a wealthy investor who co-owns an Investment Firm with his brother. His fascination with other businesses and helping them succeed is what makes him happy. So, Liam is taken aback when they are visiting their newest investment company, only to find out that the woman he slept with a few ago happens to be the owner’s daughter. Morgan Starling has become part of his permanent thoughts ever since they met at a bar followed by an incredible one-night stand that he hasn’t stopped thinking about ever since. But Liam refuses to give out his heart again, especially after the bad breakup that’s left him second guessing his actions when it comes to finding love again. Yet, his unexpected connection with Morgan is what makes him wonder if he can truly let someone else in without leaving his heart broken again.

Morgan Starling isn’t the type to have one-night stands, but it’s her birthday and she is ready to see where the night takes her. Only for her to end up having a passionate night with a handsome stranger and her heart broken after finding him gone the next morning. A reminder to never confuse sex with something more quickly settles in as Morgan recalls how her previous relationship ended. Nevertheless, she refuses to think about Liam Powers no matter how strong their chemistry was. Little did she know that her live was about to change forever the minute she walks into work at GalvaTech, only to find out that Liam happens to be their new investor. It would be working with him closely that ultimately brings them back together, but Morgan stars to wonder if Liam truly wants her in his future for good or if she’s just another temporary woman in his life.

I absolutely loved reading Just a Little Desire, the chemistry between the characters is off-the-charts and relatable. It’s evident that they have pasts to overcome, but they are able to lean on each other in order to find happiness. I loved how we got to see characters from previous books make cameos in the story. If you like a good romance with a bit of a twist at the end, then I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series! :)

In Phillips’ latest release, we get a holiday novella in Just One More Date. This steamy holiday romance packs punch and will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end!

Leo Watson might have the looks and money to attract the opposite sex, but not even that will help him find a fake girlfriend at the last minute to take to his company Christmas party. All to impress a future client that will not sign with the firm if he doesn’t think that Leo can commit at all. So in an effort to gain his trust, Leo will do anything including getting a fake girlfriend in order to sell that he can be in a serious relationship. Not expecting for his all the woman in his life to be busy this Christmas. Leo turns to an unexpected choice, the cute barista who is always cheery and happy to see him every time he goes to the coffee shop. Without realizing that Camille Hendrick was going to completely change his life forever.

While working at Forth and Grind, Camille Hendricks has seen her fair share of businessmen coming for their coffee after work. But non of them could hold a candle to Leo. They have never shared a conversation, but she has quickly developed a crush on him. So when he asks to talk to her at the coffee shop one day, Camille assumes that he is going to ask her out. But that’s not what she gets, instead he offers her a job, crushing her dreams in the process. I absolutely loved reading Just One More Date, the characters were relatable and their instant chemistry was sizzling! Leo quickly becomes protective of Camille, even though he doesn’t want to be in a serious relationship. Her joy for the holidays is what he doesn’t quite understand at the beginning, but the more time they spent together, the more it became clear that they might be just meant for each other. All in all, this was such a great holiday novella that I would highly recommend checking out this Christmas, you will not regret it! :)

Having grown up among the Sterling family, Brooke Snyder has always been close with all of them. Her life along with her mom’s completely changed the minute the patriarch of the family bought the state they lived in. It was also the time Brooke met and fell for one of the Sterling kids, Aiden Sterling. He was everything she wanted, but just when he started to notice her, Aiden dropped the biggest news to the entire family. He was set to pursue his dream of being a traveling journalist and was leaving New York behind. Breaking Brooke’s heart in the process and destroying her trust for the man she once loved. But life has mysterious ways of working itself out and ultimately brings them back together. Now she is the Chief Operating Officer at Sterling Investments and will be working closely with Aiden as he takes on the role of temporary CEO of the company. I really enjoyed reading Just One More Time, it’s clear that both of the characters have sizzling chemistry from the very beginning. But it’s also evident how much Aiden hurt Brooke’s heart and trust. He has to learn how to open up to her about what made him leave all those years ago. There is also the pending danger that he is in that could threaten those around him. With a level of suspense and lots of steamy moments, I would highly recommend checking out this story and the rest of the series!

As the fifth book in The Sterling Family, Phillips delivers a steamy second chance romance between a business mogul and an archeologists in Just One More Affair. Can a second one-night stand end up turning into a forever?

After having a one-night stand that gave her twin daughters, Charlotte Kendall never expected to be invited to her old one-night stand’s wedding. But that’s one of things that she loves about her relationship with Noah Powers, that they can be good co-parents and friends. While Charlotte was pursuing her archeological dreams in Egypt, she is grateful to have Noah to help her take care of the girls. While trying to enjoy the last day with her daughters, Charlotte spots Jared Sterling, the handsome Sterling brother that has been extra charming since the minute they met. 

It’s evident that they have a connection, one that they would later on explore. Only time around, she would go back to Egypt only to find out that is is pregnant again and the father is thousand of miles away. I absolutely loved reading Just One More Affair, after reading Just One More Temptation, I was happy to find out that Charlotte was going to get her own story. It’s been years since Charlotte had to be a single mom, she has been relying on herself even longer and that’s what has made her guard her heart. It’s hard to rely on other people, but Jared is different and the fact that he wants her to feel like she belongs in his life it’s difficult. Jared Sterling never expected to settle down anytime soon, not after working day-and-night at Sterling Investments. But seeing Charlotte again has him rethinking his own future, especially after he finds out that he is going to be a dad. Neither of them expected to develop strong feelings for each other and he vows to prove that he will never walk from them. I loved the interactions that we get from the rest of the family, Charlotte’s daughters quickly embrace Jared and it was sweet to see. The ending was perfect for them and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! :)

My Review:

I loved the authors’ previous collaboration in the Dare Crossover, so I was excited to read their new series together. Needless to say, as the first book in the Sterling Family Crossover, Just a Little Crush does not disappoint at all. Phillips and Wilde deliver a sweet second chance romance between a real estate mogul and a server that will leave you wanting for more!

For Stevie Palmer, working at The Black Door and interning at Dare PR all while getting her degree in marketing keeps her busy these days. Ever since moving from Connecticut to New York three years ago, she’s been working really hard to better her life and of her sister’s who just got out of an abusive relationship. Stevie’s job now is to make sure to provide for them and hoping to get a full-time job at the marketing firm. While attention her best friend’s birthday, Stevie bumps into her friend’s brother, Caleb Sterling. 

Having met at The Black Door a year ago, they’ve always been cordial with each other, but there is something about Caleb that keeps pulling her closer. It’s when they cross the line of no return that their lives truly change forever. Caleb has a proposition for her, one that will change the course of their lives as she pretends to be his girlfriend in order for him to get custody of his son. Neither of them expected their feelings for one another to grow so much, it’s clear that she is out of his league and Stevie starts to question of their future together. All while Caleb is doing everything he can to make sure he keeps her for good.

I truly loved reading this book, it’s such a great start to the series! Their chemistry is sizzling and we can see that from the very beginning. It’s evident that Stevie fears not being good enough for Caleb, they come from two different worlds. His life as a wealthy real estate mogul attracts the wrong attention and Caleb has worked really hard to make a name for himself away from his prestigious family. The custody battle that he finds himself in is just prove that Caleb is willing to do anything for those he loves. He cares about Stevie and will do anything to prove that they might just be it for each other. All in all, I enjoyed their story and the ending, it fit the characters really well. I would highly recommend it! :)

As the fourth book in The Sterling Family Series, Phillips delivers a steamy and swoon worthy romance in Just One More Temptation. This grumpy-sunshine story will pull at your heartstrings and never let go.

Noah Powers never intended to find himself frantically searching for his twin daughters at a park in New York City. He had shared custody of his daughters up until six months ago when his ex decided to take on a huge career opportunity abroad. Now Noah has to juggle his busy career as a partner at a law firm, all while trying to find the perfect candidate to take care of his kids. So when the girls get attached to Fallon, the artist that works at a gallery where he ends up finding them in the end. Noah has to fight the desire to be near her. No matter how good she is with his kids or with him, he has to remember that there are things that could tear them apart.

Fallon Sterling never expected to bond with the two little girls that end up at the gallery she works at. They stole her heart and do did their dad. Her chemistry with Noah was instant, though it’s from her previous experience that she she vows to not fall for the an older man who is going to hurt break her heart. Yet, it’s Noah’s understanding that keeps her wanting to be with him. No matter the curveballs that get sent their way, she is all in.

I throughly enjoyed reading Just One More Temptation, the story was sweet and characters were likable. Noah’s daughter’s truly stole the spotlight, they are full of wit and charm. We get to see Fallon step up into a different role, she is not just working at the gallery but at some point she finds herself taking care of the girls while Noah finds them a nanny. On the other hand, Noah is protective of those he loves and that soon applies to Fallon. He has set his heart on her and the goal is to make her his no matter what. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out the book. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series! :)

As the year is coming to an end, Brandy Bloom is ready to start the next chapter of her life away from the bustling city and onto the suburbs of Long Island. Her life has come in a long way and Brady is at a point in her life where she is truly happy. Yet, it’s time to move on and she can’t leave the office until she seduces the man she’s desired for a while now. But her plans to spend the night with Stephan Corbin do not end up working out like she planned. Instead, Brandy finds herself kissing the wrong twin. If it weren’t for his brother that invited him to the office Christmas party, Max Corbin, would never had the chance to meet the gorgeous woman dressed as an elf. The minute their eyes connected, Max knew that she was different from other women. Their electrifying chemistry is what ultimately gives Max the more reasons to make Brandy his for good.

Though the story was short and sweet, Brady’s story packs a punch as she gets to know Max. It’s clear that they have a lot in common and they’re able to relate to each other right away. Brandy’s walls enables her to give people the chance to get to know her. Which makes Max that much more adamant to let her see who he really is and give her the chance to see if they can have their happily-ever-after. I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others by the author. You will not regret it! :)

It’s evident that both of the characters have experienced a lot in their lives and they are able to rely on each other. Dex quickly becomes protective toward Samantha and she feels empowered to start a new life with him. But the past comes back to haunt them and they have to lean on each other in order to get their happily-ever-after. I loved to see their interactions with each other’s families and the ending was sweet. I would highly recommend checking out this book and the rest of the series! :)

Phillips delivers a great start to The Sterling Family Series in Just One More Moment. This second chances and new beginnings romance will leave you rooting for the characters until the end!

For Raven Walsh, attending the glamorous wedding of her boss/friend Zach Dare, reminds her of the life she used to have. A life she’s been trying so desperately to get away from for a while. Though she doesn’t miss the luxury of her upbringing, it has lead her to live a normal and modest life. As Raven takes on more responsibility as the manager of The Back Door bar, she has immediate access to her boss/co-owner of the bar, Remy Sterling. Even though they are friends, Remy enjoys flirting with her, leaving Raven to wonder if they could ever have something else. But there is the fear of what could happen if those around her get hurt because of her past. Leaving Raven to build walls around her in order to protect her heart. It’s until said past comes back to haunt her that she will have to rely on Remy more than ever.

Remy is ready to use what he’s experienced in his career in order to protect the woman he is falling in love with. After all, going through a similar loss himself has made him even more protective of her. Raven is not about to let her past hurt her loved ones, even if it means sacrificing her growing feelings for Remy. In the end, they both will have to rely on each other if they want to have a chance at a real relationship. Told in dual POV, expect the unexpected and an ending worth for their story. I would highly recommend it and I cannot wait to read the next books in the series! :)
