My Review:

Phillips and Wilde deliver a second chances and new beginnings romance in Just a Little Desire. This steamy romance will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

In this story we are introduced to Liam Powers, a wealthy investor who co-owns an Investment Firm with his brother. His fascination with other businesses and helping them succeed is what makes him happy. So, Liam is taken aback when they are visiting their newest investment company, only to find out that the woman he slept with a few ago happens to be the owner’s daughter. Morgan Starling has become part of his permanent thoughts ever since they met at a bar followed by an incredible one-night stand that he hasn’t stopped thinking about ever since. But Liam refuses to give out his heart again, especially after the bad breakup that’s left him second guessing his actions when it comes to finding love again. Yet, his unexpected connection with Morgan is what makes him wonder if he can truly let someone else in without leaving his heart broken again.

Morgan Starling isn’t the type to have one-night stands, but it’s her birthday and she is ready to see where the night takes her. Only for her to end up having a passionate night with a handsome stranger and her heart broken after finding him gone the next morning. A reminder to never confuse sex with something more quickly settles in as Morgan recalls how her previous relationship ended. I absolutely loved reading Just a Little Desire, the chemistry between the characters is off-the-charts and relatable. It’s evident that they have pasts to overcome, but they are able to lean on each other in order to find happiness. I loved how we got to see characters from previous books make cameos in the story. If you like a good romance with a bit of a twist at the end, then I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series! :)

My Review:

I loved the authors’ previous collaboration in the Dare Crossover, so I was excited to read their new series together. Needless to say, as the first book in the Sterling Family Crossover, Just a Little Crush does not disappoint at all. Phillips and Wilde deliver a sweet second chance romance between a real estate mogul and a server that will leave you wanting for more!

For Stevie Palmer, working at The Black Door and interning at Dare PR all while getting her degree in marketing keeps her busy these days. Ever since moving from Connecticut to New York three years ago, she’s been working really hard to better her life and of her sister’s who just got out of an abusive relationship. Stevie’s job now is to make sure to provide for them and hoping to get a full-time job at the marketing firm. While attention her best friend’s birthday, Stevie bumps into her friend’s brother, Caleb Sterling. 

Having met at The Black Door a year ago, they’ve always been cordial with each other, but there is something about Caleb that keeps pulling her closer. It’s when they cross the line of no return that their lives truly change forever. Caleb has a proposition for her, one that will change the course of their lives as she pretends to be his girlfriend in order for him to get custody of his son. Neither of them expected their feelings for one another to grow so much, it’s clear that she is out of his league and Stevie starts to question of their future together. All while Caleb is doing everything he can to make sure he keeps her for good.

I truly loved reading this book, it’s such a great start to the series! Their chemistry is sizzling and we can see that from the very beginning. It’s evident that Stevie fears not being good enough for Caleb, they come from two different worlds. His life as a wealthy real estate mogul attracts the wrong attention and Caleb has worked really hard to make a name for himself away from his prestigious family. The custody battle that he finds himself in is just prove that Caleb is willing to do anything for those he loves. He cares about Stevie and will do anything to prove that they might just be it for each other. All in all, I enjoyed their story and the ending, it fit the characters really well. I would highly recommend it! :)

My Review:

Phillips and Wilde have done it again! As the second book in the Dare Crossover Series, Just A Little Secret is a relatable steamy romance about second chances that will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Georgia Brooks, who is putting her degree in nonprofit management to use by working for Future Fast Track. A non-profit dedicated to helping foster kids transition out of the system once they are of age. Not only is she working for a great cause, but Georgia is truly following her passion to help others her way. To the disappointment of her parents who wanted her to follow on the family business path, she finally put her foot down when it came to her career.

Georgia has always been the one to follow the rules, be more cautious and conservative. That is until she meets Drew Daniels at an awards banquet her family is attending. He is bold, daring and she likes that. There is something about him that keeps her drawn to him. Then everything changes when they are at a bachelor auction for the non-profit and her sister ends up bidding for Drew, winning him for her in the process. A weekend with him shouldn’t have been a big deal, until she lets her walls down and sees a potential future with him.

As a successful lawyer, Drew Daniels is competitive by nature, a trait that has helped him a lot in his career. At McKenzie Goodwin, he handles a lot of high-profile mergers and acquisition clients. His job requires him to work long hours and the last thing he wants is to be in a relationship. Drew refuses to go through what he went through with his ex, so he is focusing on improving his career instead. Until he sees the beautiful woman talking to his rival. He is intrigued by her and after getting to know her more, there is a connection that neither of them can deny. No matter how much he wants to pursue her, Drew can’t stop thinking about his previous relationship and what his demanding career could do to their relationship if he gave them a chance.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Just A Little Secret! Phillips and Wilde did a great job with the overall story and the characters. There is an instant chemistry between them and we get to see them open up to each other as well. Georgia truly compliments Drew, she understands him and his career. Even though she wants to make her parents proud, Georgia hesitates to talk to them at first. Then we get to see her shine at the end. They have found each other and now they have to fight for their future. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book and the previous book in the series, it will not disappoint! :)

In their latest spin-off, Just a Little Hookup, Phillips and Wilde deliver a swoon worthy and steamy romance that will leave you wanting for more!

At the beginning of the book we are introduced to Jessica Cavanaugh, the head of Curvy Girl Couture, a fashion line that is set on making women feel beautiful in their own skin. Is the business that is thriving, but no matter how successful it is in front of the public, behind the scenes Jessica doesn’t always get the support that she deserves. Growing up, she experienced the jealousy of other people while treating her horribly. But time has passed and Jessica refuses to let her school nemesis walk all all over her again. So when they are at a charity auction gala, Jessica decides to bid on her nemesis’ ex and Jessica’s long time crush, Derek Bettencourt. It was just supposed to be a little payback for the weekend, but the more time they spent together, the harder it became to see it as more than just a fling. 

As the co-owner of Blackout Media, a conglomerate company that deals with turning failing media enterprises and turning them into multi-billion-dollar businesses. I really enjoyed reading Just a Little Hookup, I’ve been a fan of Carly Phillips’ series and I was excited to read a crossover/spin off with Erika Wilde. We have two characters who grew up and they have always had a sense of friendship between them, since Jessica’s older brother is Derek’s best friend. So there has always been a connection between them, but it becomes so much more the minute he starts to see her in a new way. It takes a little for Jessica to come to terms with their attraction, she hasn’t always felt like she could be Derek’s type. But once lines are crosses, feelings begin to grow and so is a threat that could end their chance at a future together. All in all, if you enjoy a good friends-to-lovers romance than I could highly recommend checking out Just a Little Hookup. I can’t wait to read more in the series! :)
