Only fools fall in love...

After her senior year of high school leaves behind nothing but heartache, Olivia Beaumont is sure of this: She’s no stupid girl. She sets out for Winston College, promising herself that she will remain focused on her first and only love – astronomy. But all it takes is cocky sophomore Brax Jenkins and an accidental collision with a football, to throw her entire year off course.

A quick-tempered Southie who escaped the inner city streets of Boston to pitch for Winston, Brax is known to play way more fields than just the baseball diamond. So, when his name is drawn to take part in his fraternity’s hazing dare, Brax eagerly accepts the mission to take Olivia’s virginity. But he doesn’t plan on falling hard for the sweet and sassy Texas girl who sees right through his bad-boy persona.

As Olivia and Brax battle their feelings for each other, echoes of the past year begin to surface. A boy who once turned Olivia’s whole world upside down reappears, and “harmless” pranks wreak havoc. Pretty soon the aspiring astronomer is on the verge of revealing her most difficult, heartbreaking secret. All the while, Brax must wrestle with the irrevocable dare, and Olivia struggles against all logic as she does the one thing only a stupid girl would do: fall in love.

My Review:

Stupid Girl follows the journey of Olivia Beaumont, an aspiring astronomer attending Winston College. Being her first year of college, she only has one thing in mind and that is to focus on school. She is not interested in anything outside her studies, let alone fall in love. Moving to her new school, Olivia is hoping to let go of her past and move on with her life. But that soon ends up backfiring on her as she is knocked to the ground by non other than Brax Jenkins, a baseball pitcher who is infamous in school for sleeping around with girls around campus. The minute she sees him, he does the unexpected and kisses her. That is when the fuel between the two starts and she wants nothing to do with him. But trying to avoid him becomes difficult as he seems to be everywhere.

Her new roommate, Tessa, warns her about the consequences that would bring if Olivia ends up falling for Brax. But that doesn't stop Olivia from seeing through Brax's personality, and his charms. As the pair start to spend more time together, new enemies from the past have come back to prevent Olivia from moving on.

One of the things that I liked about the book was the characters. I really enjoyed reading about Olivia and Brax's backgrounds, they both had their secrets that had prevented them from moving on. The story was a bit of a emotional roller coaster and page-turner. Yet I wasn't too impressed with the dialogue, especially when when every time Brax spoke, Olivia would repeat what he said or replied in his accent, it made it seem like she was making fun of him (I'm sure she didn't mean to), but it carried out throughout the story that it felt very repetitive. Other than that, the ending was good, not having read anything else by the author I would consider reading some of her other books in the future.

My Review:

I really enjoyed reading Fall with Me, it was a cute romance story full of character development, secrets and an overall great ending.

The last thing Jenna wants to do when she moves back to her old town after breaking up with her college boyfriend is to work along side Sutton Bell. Not only is he her ex-best friend's brother, but she also used to have a crush on him growing up. Now she is back in her old home trying to get passed what her ex did to her by dumping her for her best friend. But everything is put to the test when old feelings start to resurfaced as Jenna and Sutton start to spend more time together.

Sutten Bell has always had a thing for Jenna, but being her best friend's older brother put Jenna off-limits. Now she is back and he is determined to convince Jenna that he is not the player he used to be by helping her get revenge on her ex. What they weren't expecting to be in the middle of family issues and old secrets that will put their relationship to the test. Jenna will have to decide whether falling for Sutton all over again is worth it in the end.

The characters in the book were compelling, they both had to let go of the past in order to move on with their lives. There were times when Jenna was just so stubborn to see pass what she had in front of her, and that complicated things a bit more for her. Sutton made drastic decisions, that didn't help him at all. It's evident that both characters went through character development as they faced their fears of letting go of the past. Their chemistry from the beginning was there and it grows more throughout the book. Overall, the story is very well-written, and the twist at the end worked. I highly recommend it.
