My Review:

Follow Me Back is the second book in the Fight For Me series and although it can be read a stand-alone, we do get to see appearances of previous characters in the book as well. In this particular book we get to meet Kale Bryant an ER doctor whose worked really hard to get to that point in his career as as someone in the medical field. Though he is practically married to his job, he enjoys women and he is not afraid to show it. He is the womanizer in his group, but being known that way has protected him from getting hurt. On a night out with friends, Kale meets Harley Masterson and the two don’t hit it off right away. There is clearly sexual tension between them, but it is Harley the one that pulls back right away while leaving Kale hanging. Throughout their conversation, Kale is kind and ready to make a move on her but after the two went their separate ways he wasn’t expecting to see her again. But the universe had other plans and the next day as he made his way to a new coffee shop in town, he meets the owner and it ends up being Harley. As the two start to get to know each other, the more closer they become and they go through ups and downs throughout the book. When their relationship gets tested, Kale has to find a way to win her back before it’s too late.

Harley Masterson hasn’t always had the life, going through a messy divorce and trying to make her business a success can be stressful. When she is out with her friends, she never expected to find the sexy stranger at the bar endearing. She can’t stop looking at him and when he approaches her she is not sure what to do and walks away. It’s the next day at her coffee shop that Kale come in and asks her out. She doesn’t know what to say, but it is her friend that convinces her to go out with him and that’s how their romance takes off. Harley knows that Kale is hard to resist and if he kisses her she is not going to be able to walk away, but there is something that holds her back. Something that could end up hurting their relationship if she doesn’t do anything about it. 

I loved reading Follow Me Back, A.L. Jackson did an amazing job yet again bringing us a heartfelt story that will have you reading non stop until the very end. She brings characters that are not only relatable, but they’re full of substance to keep you invested in their story. Kale is great, he is the perfect male character that you would want to meet in real life. He is kind and incredibly sweet. On the other hand, Harley is such a hard worker and funny. I loved the two of them together and as they got to know each other the more we got to learn about their pasts. We do get to see previous characters which I loved. From the beautiful writing to the perfect story, the author manages to capture the lives of two opposites who somehow end up being great for each other. I would highly recommend reading this book and any other book by the author. You will not regret it!
