So I’ve always been a son of a bitch…and I’m talking literally here when I say this, because I’m the son of a pantsuit-wearing, barracuda in heels--otherwise known as Gloria Cavanaugh, CEO of Cavanaugh Yacht. She’s not only my mother, she’s my boss, so when she demands I “bed and wed” the heiress of a competing company, I need to think fast. My solution? Find a fake girlfriend and pay her to be in a relationship with me. It’s a crazy faking idea, but I’ll do anything to keep my single status and prevent my mother from getting her way. What’s even crazier? When this spunky, incredibly sexy girl starts to stir deep feelings in me…making me wonder if this could be the real thing.
****
My job in sales and customer service at Precision Machine basically equates to lying underneath a hairy fat guy and faking an orgasm from 9 to 5. I desperately want out, but never did I imagine my escape would come in the form of Damon Cavanaugh, who shows up at a bar and takes my breath away with his insane good looks, devastating grin and cocky charm. My first reaction to his faking proposal? I think it’s the most ludicrous idea I’ve ever heard, and the only reason I’d consider it is because I mostly can’t stand him, and because I’m quite sure it will stay safe and platonic, since my history has prevented me from getting involved with men. But the more I get to know Damon, the more my attraction intensifies...just as his mother steps up the pressure.
Will Gloria Cavanaugh prevail?

Or will a secret in someone’s past change our future?
My Review:
After reading Big Deck, I couldn’t wait to read the second book in the Big Sexy Series. Remy Rose has outdone herself with Sexy Mother Faker, it was such a funny and romantic read that had me reading non stop until the very end.
At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Damon Cavanaugh, a twenty-nine year old playboy whose family wealth has allowed him to do whatever he pleases. But the minute his mother, CEO of Cavanaugh Yacht, tells him of her plan to expand to Europe he never imagined to be asked to “bed and wed” the heiress of their competition. He is not a relationship-type-of guy and will do anything in his power to go against his mother’s wishes. That is until he meets a girl at an art exhibit that attracts his attention and he wants to know who she is. With luck he ends up finding out her name and they go on date where he makes her a proposition, one that will change their lives forever: to pretend to be his fake girlfriend in front of his mother in exchange for funding for her cafe that she always wanted to open. It’s offer that she couldn’t pass, but the more time they spend together the more he wants to make their fake relationship real.
Delaney Brewster’s ideal job has never been working in sales for Precision Machine. Even though it’s one of the most successful machined parts company in New England, it hasn’t made her happy. Her dream job is to open a Cafe where she can bake and be successful. She has been through so much and she wants the chance to do something for herself. Little did she know that Damon would be the answer to her future. She accepts his proposition without a second thought, not knowing that he would make things impossible for her to resist. Now as they learn to navigate through their ups and downs, she has to make a choice of whether to give him a chance or not.
I very much enjoyed reading Sexy Mother Faker, though the story is a standalone, it is best enjoyed if you read the previous book in the series (The characters from the first book make a lot of appearances in this book). Damon is your typical playboy who has a soft spot for animals and chick flicks that had me swooning for him and his relationship with Delaney. I loved his relationship with his grandmother, it was sweet and caring. He pay close attention to Delaney and makes it his mission to help her get over her past. On the other hand, Delaney has been though a lot, but her drive to succeed is what made her that much more appealing to Damon. She is not scared to take a chance, but she is also not going to get in the middle of Damon’s relationship with his mother and we get to see her decide what’s best for them as a couple. Overall, Sexy Mother Faker was such a great romantic story with a sweet ending that will leave you wanting for more. I would highly recommend checking it out as well as the previous book in the series. :)

About the author
By day, Remy Rose is a pure-as-snow teacher, but by night, she tucks the teacher away to release her alter ego of romance author. Remy shares many things about her outside life with students, but this isn’t (ever going to be) one of them.
A writer since the age of ten, she’s traded her spiral bound notebook and yellow beanbag chair for a MacBook Air and desk, but her love of the craft is still the same. Her first women’s contemporary novel was represented by a New York agent, and she’ll never forget the day she got that phone call while in the bedding section of Target.
Remy is thrilled to be part of Jack’s House, is brimming with ideas for future books, and got a kick out of writing this in third person.
