My daddy warned me never to fall for a boy like Jace Jacobs...

The second I saw him walk through the door, I knew he was trouble.

A gorgeous rebel with a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder.

My heart warned me. I didn’t listen. I saw something protective and good beneath the fierce, tough exterior.

I fell hard and fast.

He promised we’d be together forever, and then left me with a broken heart.

Now, ten years later, Jace Jacobs is standing at my door.

Sexier than he’s ever been.

Provocative and commanding.

Successful and powerful.

The man I always knew he would become.

But I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again.

Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees.

Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.
Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . .

My Review:

I’m always excited to read any of A.L. Jackson’s stories, they are always so full of emotion and lots of romance. More of You was no different, not only was the story relatable but it was also filled with twists and turns perfect to keep you reading until the very end.

Told in duel POV, More of You is a story about second chances at love and new beginnings. At the very start of the story we get to meet Faith Linbrock, a single mother who has been through a lot in the past ten years. Ever since her high school sweetheart, Jace Jacobs, left her for good, Faith has been trying to move on but it’s unable to when her husband tragically dies. She suddenly starts to receive ominous letters that have threatened her and her daughter, Bailey. She feels alone and doesn’t know who to turn to. It is then that she gets an unexpected visit from Jace and everything around her starts to change. He has always been the one for her, but seeing him again has brought out new feelings for him even though she knows she shouldn’t feel anything for him. But it’s clear that the more time they spend together the more she begins to see a future with him, if only were that easy. Faith knows that she has to figure out who is sending all those threats before it’s too late.

Jace Jacobs vowed to never return to the little town that saw him as an outcast. He has done well for himself and succeeded when people thought otherwise. But the minute he gets a call from his friend to let him know that Faith has been getting threatening letters, Jace doesn’t think twice about going back to his old town. It’s surreal to go back, but he is doing it for her and he will stop at nothing until he makes sure that Faith is going to be okay. It is when his past starts to haunt him that he’ll have to decide if telling her the truth is worth it or not.

I very much enjoyed reading this book, it was full of twists and turns. There is so much that happens in the book that will leave you wanting to read it until the very end. What I liked about the story was how it went back in time a lot of the times to explain past events further. We get to see the growth in the characters as well from the moment they met to present time. The relationship that Jace had with Bailey was emotional and sweet. Even though she is not his daughter, he still wants to make sure she knows that he is going to be there no matter what and she truly loves him back. It’s evident that Faith has been through so much and even though she wanted to see the good in people, it ended up affecting her in the end, especially with her husband. On the other hand, Jace has always been the outcast but he is protective and kind. He wants to provide for his brother and that leads him to making wrong decisions that would affect him in the future. Together, they are able to come as one and overcome their pasts. Though the story is well thought out, it felt a bit long for me. There were times where I felt the story dragged a little too much, but it all worked out in the end. It was sweet and everything came full circle. I’m excited to see what the author comes up next! I would highly recommend reading this book and any others by the author. :)
