A pretty school teacher like her had no business in a bar like this.

She's strictly off-limits but I've never been known to follow the rules...

She's funny and reckless.
With her tempting curves and innocent smile,
I find it hard to keep my distance.
I keep tripping over my heart after each time I see her, but my head keeps
trying to hold me back.

I’m addicted to her touch and the way she looks when she’s under me.
She may be a school teacher, but in my bed she’s a vixen, begging for more.

But under that sweet exterior is a stubborn streak.
She's a challenge that I can’t help but want to claim.

She doesn't know the serious danger she's in and I have to keep her safe.
I'm the only one who can protect her now. She's all mine.

I'll do everything in my power to claim her as my own.
I don't care what it costs...

Full length romance novella with a Happily Ever After.

My Review:

From the sexy cover to the intriguing synopsis, Blair delivers a steamy romance between a pre-school teacher and a bartender who happen to meet by chance and whose lives are about to change forever.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet Fergus who is working at the bar when he suddenly gets called to stop a fight, which ends up hurting one of the patrons there. She is injured and one of his friends takes her to the hospital to get checkout out. He can’t help but notice how beautiful and so out of place she is the next day when she comes back to the bar. Sarah Rivers turns out to be a pre-school teacher who tells him that she is in need of a change of scenery. Fergus can tell that she is hiding something, but doesn’t press her on the subject any longer. It is after she keeps coming back to the bar that they get to know each other more and she finally tells him why she is at the bar looking for someone who belongs to the Street Serpents (a dangerous gang). That is when the story truly unfolds and they have to work together if they want to have a future together.

I very much loved the concept of this story and all its romantic scenes. However, I did felt that the story was a bit rushed and lacked character development. Everything happens so fast in the story and the ending was very abrupt. I did liked the chemistry between the characters and how sweet Fergus was towards Sarah. He is this big guy with a soft heart that will leave you swooning for the characters. On the other hand, Sarah is quiet but determined. She is willing to protect those she loves and will go to any length to do just that. All in all, the story ends well and I would recommend it if you’re looking for something quick and romantic to read. I will most certainly be reading more from the author in the future. :)
