πŸ”– REVIEW πŸ”– Frenemies by Emma Hart

Frenemies by Emma Hart

Release Date: January 28 2020 by Emma Hart
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

There are some things you just have to deal with.
Like your hot as hell college booty call moving in next door with his adorable daughter.

The only time we’ve ever gotten along is under the sheets. Old habits die hard because two minutes on my front porch is how long it takes us to bicker.

Not that a little fact like that bothers my healthy, eighty-year-old grandmother and roommate who’s determined to see me married before she bites the dust.

Unfortunately for me, she’s got her eye set on Cameron Black.

She’s barking up the wrong tree. He’s not The One, no matter how much I swoon when I see him with his daughter. I have no intentions of rekindling anything with him—until a rubber spider in my mailbox starts off the mother of all neighborhood prank wars, just like the ones we had in college, and throws me right into his path.

One that leads right to his bedroom…

My Review:

Emma Hart never fails to deliver a great romantic comedy. Frenemies will leave you laughing and swooning for the characters until the very end. Let the war pranks begin!

Imogen “Immy” Anderson had dreams of moving to the city in hopes of being discovered and having her own art shows. But that’s not what happened and she doesn’t regret one single thing about it. Living with her eighty-year old grandmother and running the family business, Art by Numbers, has made her incredibly busy to do anything else. Yet, everything changes when she spots her new neighbor moving in, non other than her college hook up, Mason Black. While they had amazing chemistry in the bedroom, they never made as friends. Nevertheless, her grandmother is insistent that Immy gives him a second chance and will not stop setting them up until they are together.

Mason Black has a very demanding career as a lawyer, but his first priority is his daughter so he didn’t hesitate to move closer to her if it means spending more time together. But he wasn’t expecting to see Immy living with her grandmother next door. It has been years since they’ve seen each other and a lot has changed. But his feelings for her haven’t. He made a huge mistake letting her go all those years ago and he will not stop until he makes her his. Even if they have to prank each other in the process.

Frenemies was such an entertaining read. The characters were all hilarious, specially Immy’s grandmother. She is a cute little grandma with sass. Mason is a great dad to his daughter and will leave your heart melting at the cute scenes between them. Imogen knows what she wants and she also happens to love a good prank. That’s what ultimately brings them closer, but there is the question of whether or not they can move on from their past in order to create a future together. All in all, the story was a laugh-out-loud read and will highly recommend checking it out!
