Everyone knows the rules of friendship, right?

Rule #1: Don’t kiss your best friend.
Rule #2: Don’t have sex with your best friend.
Rule #3: Don’t pretend like it didn’t happen the next day.

Bailey Renshaw is my best friend.

Kind. Sweet as a peach, and so beautiful it should be a crime.

Since we were kids I’ve wanted her, and one time when we were nothing more than teenagers I kissed her. It was the first mistake I ever made in our friendship. Giving her my heart and hoping she felt the same were my second and third.

That night she broke me, ripped my heart out of my chest and stomped on it. Anyone else would’ve hated her for it, but it only made me value her more, and realize that I would do anything I could to keep her in my life even if it was only as a friend and nothing more.

As a permanent resident of the friend zone, I promised myself that I would never cross that line again no matter how badly I wanted to, and I wanted to, badly.

Every time she smiled at me, licked her pink lips, or flashed her doe eyes my way I came a little closer to breaking the rules again… but I didn’t. I couldn’t do that to us. Until one night when we decided to break the rules together.

One Earth shattering night together and I knew nothing would ever be the same.

Friends, or lovers? I don’t know what we are anymore. The rules no longer apply to us.

Now the only question is, can we fix what we had before it’s too late or is our friendship over for good? And all because of one single kiss?

**Complete standalone with a happily ever after. Don't miss out on all the gooey goodness this book has to offer.**

My Review:

Kissing & Telling is about two friends who cross the line they weren’t supposed to cross in their friendship and of the obstacles that come with it. Written by J.L. Beck and Cassandra Hallman as Jenna Reed, the duo gives us a story full of sweet and steamy scenes to keep you wanting for more.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet Bailey Renshaw, an interior designer who just turned twenty-one years old. She is getting ready to attend her birthday party, but what she really wants is to lose the one thing she has been holding for twenty-one years, her virginity. Although she promised herself to give it to someone special, she has come to realize that the secret crush that she has on her best friend will not be reciprocated. They are total opposites, while she loves to read and write, Elijah loves to drink and have lots of sex. He also doesn’t do relationships and no matter how much she wishes for him to see her differently, he is not going to so she is taking matter into her own hands. She will move on after she gives her virginity to Elijah. Little did she know just how much their relationship is going to change, so much that she is going to decide if pursuing a relationship with him is worth fighting for or not.

Elijah Westbrook has it all, he has the success in his business and plenty of women at his beck and call. But what he doesn’t have is what he has wanted since they were kids and that is Bailey. She has been his best friend since first grade and the one person he has loved ever since. They have been through so much growing up and she became off limits to him. He promised her that he wouldn’t pursue her after they kissed as teenagers, but one look at her on her twenty-first birthday and everything went out the window. She is willing to give herself to him and although he think it’s a bad idea, he gives in without thinking of the consequences of their actions. He has never wanted a serious relationship, women want to use him for the things that he can give them, but being with Bailey has him wanting something more with her.

I loved the overall story, it was steamy and romantic. It’s evident that the characters have amazing chemistry between them. They secretly want each other, but know that they can damage their friendship if they pursue anything further. Then there is Elijah’s past and the mindset that he has that keeps him from being in a serious relationship that becomes an obstacle for them. Although they are different, they compliment each other very well and the ending was really sweet. It’s definitely one not to be missed! I would recommend this story if you are looking for a quick romantic read. :)

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
