πŸ”– RELEASE BLITZ πŸ”– Crossing the Line by Kendall Ryan {REVIEW}

 Crossing the Line by Kendall Ryan

Release Date: January 20th 2020
Series: Hot Jocks #4
Pages: 300
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation.

But I’ll admit, being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.

We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.

She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, I find my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

My Review:

Having read and enjoyed the previous books in the Hot Jocks series, I couldn’t wait to read Asher’s story. We get to briefly meet him in the previous books, but we really get to fall in love with him in Crossing the Line.

Asher Reed has the perfect hockey career who has given him the money and the luxury of having any women he might want. But his career has been put on hold as he recovers from a concussion and a pulled groin that will keep from playing for the rest of the season. Instead of watching his team play without him, Asher takes his injury as a sign that he has working a lot and decides to take some time off to visit his family in California. Yet, he is shocked when his friend, Bailey, offers to travel with him as his nurse in order to make sure he follows his doctor’s instructions. Even though he hasn’t spent a lot of time with Bailey, he has always been attracted to her and their trip soon proves to be full of temptation as the two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. Asher has always been the one-night-stand-type of guy, but he wants to try to be more with Bailey, he just needs to convince her to give him a chance.

Bailey Erickson has worked really hard to get to where she is now, having finished medical school, she is ready to take the next step of her career as she will soon be starting her residency. But while she takes a much needed break, she volunteers to be Asher’s nurse for a week. Traveling to California would be like taking a vacation, yet she wasn’t expecting to grow close to Asher or his family. She has always been a career- driven woman and a relationship is not something that she wants. But the more time she spend with Asher, the more she begins to question what she truly wants.

I loved this story, it was sexy and funny. Asher is kind and caring towards his family. Bailey fit right in with his family and it was nice seeing their interactions. It was having Bailey be the one that wasn’t ready for the relationship and Asher having to woo her. They compliment each other and they are able to work through the problem together. We also get cameos from pervious characters and the author did a great job setting us up for the next book in the series. It worked really well in the end. All in all, if you are looking for a romantic read filled with steam and a hilarious family then I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! :)

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

My Rating: 4.5/5
