He’s sexy. Alphalicious. And suddenly a dad. .
Austin Prescott is a lot of things. Ex football player. Sports agent. And as of this morning? Father. Finding a baby on his doorstep should have been a joke but the pink sticky note and baby carrier she came in is deadly serious.
What’s an out of his depth bachelor to do? Call his tempting and beyond gorgeous executive assistant and beg her to move in.
Quinnlyn Stone agrees to help Austin until he can straighten out his messy life. It’s just another item on her very long To-Do list. It’s absolutely not because she’s attracted to her very single and extremely handsome boss.
Close quarters. A baby. Undeniable chemistry. What could possibly go wrong?
My Review:
At the beginning of the story we get to meet Austin Prescott, an ex football payer turned sports agent who opened his own agency Dare Nation. His life consist of work and has no desire to have a meaningless hookup. Although his days as a ladies man are over, there is a desire in him to be able to connect with someone in a deeper level. When he interviews Quinn Stone for the executive assistant position, he doesn’t expect to like her right away. She is feisty and doesn’t hold anything back. She is perfect for the job and she proves herself right away. But it would take finding a baby outside his doorstep to change their lives forever. Austin doesn’t have a clue on how to take care of a baby and Quinn is there to help him right away. She stays by his side and that’s when things start to change between them. It’s clear that there is chemistry between them, now he has to find a way to convince her that he might just be the one for her before it’s too late.
Quinn Stone has worked really hard to get to where she is and truly loves her job. But working for Austin would prove to be difficult the minute he hires her to be his executive assistant. Not only is she taking care of him at work, but her responsibilities take her to his home by helping him take care of his baby. She sees him struggle every time he takes care of the baby, but also to keep working to make sure he is a good father. Yet, as cute as he looks with the baby, there is the chemistry between them that she can’t deny that makes her wish they can be together. But there is something keeping her from being with him and that might be the one thing to break them apart.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, it was a cute steamy romance that had me reading until the very end. Austin’s chemistry with Quinn is instant and she earns his trust right away. He truly cares about her and her input matter to him. She is the first one he calls when he needs help with the baby and their relationship kept growing after that. It’s evident that they both need to work on their pasts in order to have a future together, but manage to work as a team. Quinn has a great relationship with Austin and the baby. Even though there are things that are holding her back from truly moving forward. The ending was sweet and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. If you love a good office romance/single dad romance than I would highly recommend checking out Dare To Resist. :)
