My Review:

Lauren Blakely has completely outdone herself with One Exquisite Touch, it was everything and more. The story was gripping, romantic and steamy! A page-turner and now one of my all-time favorite from the author.

In this sexy rivals-to-lovers romance we are introduced to Sage Carmichael, Co-CEO of one of the premier hotels in Las Vegas, The Extravagant. Her parents worked really hard to make the hotel a success and now Sage is busy working towards keeping their legacy alive. With a lot of work on her hands, she doesn’t have a lot of time to date and after going through a very humiliating break-up, she doesn’t want to go through that again. She has built walls around her heart and put on a strong mask for everyone to see. Yet, when she gets an invitation for a masquerade, she wants to put on a different type of mask. Sage wants so desperately to let go for the night and find her Prince Wicked. Little did she know that her life was about to change forever.

Cole Donovan has worked really hard to make a name for himself as a businessman and his goal now is to make his latest venture a success. Opening up The Invitation right across his business rival would prove to be an adventure in itself. All his life, he was told that he wasn’t worthy and losing a very important person in his life made him unable to find the right person for him. When Sage enters his life, it’s all about pleasure and enjoying each other’s company. It was never meant to mean anything, until he starts to feel again and this vows to make her his once and for all. 

What a way to start The Extravagant series, Blakely did such a great job developing both characters and giving us a sense of what’s to come in the rest of the series. I loved Cole and Daniel, their personalities were perfect for the story. While Cole is a bit more reserved, Daniel is playful and always looking out for Cole. Sage has had her heart broken, but she is ready to let everything go for one night and when she spots her two sexy strangers, she gives into her fantasy without thinking twice. It’s when she finds out who they really are that the story really takes off. I absolutely loved the story and the ending truly fits with the story as a whole. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, would highly recommend checking out One Exquisite Touch, you will not regret it! :)
