The Reckless Union by Monica Murphy

Release Date: August 16, 2022
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Our marriage may look like a fairytale, but outside forces threaten to tear us apart. Don’t they realize that nothing will keep me apart from Charlotte? Not my family. Not hers either.

What started out as a relationship in name only has evolved into something much more. Something deeper. And when Charlotte is taken from me, I launch into action, determined to rescue her.

She's mine. Nothing is going to stop me from being with her.

Not a damn thing.

My Review:

Murphy delivers a sizzling and page-turning conclusion to the Arranged Marriage Trilogy. The Reckless Union will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end. A must-read trilogy!

After the suspenseful cliffhanger at the end of The Ruthless Groom, the story picks up right where it lefts off with the kidnapping of Charlotte Constantine. Just as her relationship with Perry was starting to change for the better, an old threat has come back. This time, Seamus McTiernan is not going to back down until he has Charlotte once and for all. But Charlotte quickly realizes that being the outcast in her family means that no one is coming after her. She needs to find the strength to believe in herself if she wants to make it out alive. There is hope that if Perry truly cares for her that he might find her, but there is a possibility that he might think that Charlotte went with Seamus willingly. In the very short months that they’ve known each other, Charlotte has been able to see the protectiveness and easy going nature of Perry. He has become a constant in her life that her feelings for him have begin to change as well. If only he felt the same way.

They have an arrange marriage, but in the very short time that Perry Constantine has come to know Charlotte, it feels a lot more real than ever before. By Seamus taking Charlotte, he doesn’t realize that the Lancasters and Constantines would unite in order to save one of their own. Charlotte is his and no one else’s. Although there is a part of him that wonders if Charlotte is happy to be reunited with Seamus. They have to stop him once and for all. But a new twist in events is set to alter their lives forever, he just needs to convince his wife that they might just have a shot at a happily-ever-after before it’s too late.

I loved the conclusion in the trilogy, we get to see character development in Charlotte and Perry as they become their own. After being thrust into a marriage that neither wanted at the beginning, they slowly started to trust in one another and they started seeing a future together. But facing Charlotte’s past isn’t easy and they have to learn to rely on each other if they want to end things with Seamus for good. The very end was sweet and romantic. We get to see Perry’s caring personality in action and his love for Charlotte truly shows. I would highly recommend checking out this trilogy and any other books in the Midnight Dynasty world, you will not regret it! :)
