What a year!! 2018 was filled with so many new experiences and memories that I will treasure forever. I cannot wait to start the new year fresh again, it's going to be epic. Wishing everyone a happy New Year filled happiness and lots and lots of books! May 2019 be the best one yet. 🎉

The Wright Secret by K.A. Linde

I loved the Wright Series, but more specifically The Wright Secret. Linde did such a great job creating a story filled with so much love between the two main characters as well as the family bond within the story. Although each book can be read by its own, I would highly recommend checking out the rest of the series as well! 💕

Flirting with Forever by Kendall Ryan

It's no secret that I love a good Kendall Ryan book! Needless to say, Flirting with Forever came on top for me this year. Ryan did a great job delivering the perfect friends-to-lovers story that was sexy and romantic! 😍

Very Irresistible Playboy by Lila Monroe

Having read other books by Lila Monroe before, I have to say that VIP is by far the most swoon-worthy! Her characters are charming and ready to make you fall for them as you read the book until the very end.

Reid by Melanie Moreland

I absolutely LOVED the Vested Interest series!!!! But Reid was by far my favorite, Moreland did such a great job delivering such a sexy and heartwarming story. The chemistry between the characters is unreal!! Highly recommend checking it out. 😍🔥🔥🔥

Wanderlust by Lauren Blakely

I wish I could rate this book any higher!! I fell in love with the overall story and the characters. Lauren Blakely knows how to deliver heartwarming stories that are complete page-turners from beginning to end. I loved that the setting was set in Paris, it just made story that much more romantic. 😍🌃

Blood Cure by K. A. Linde

Not only is K.A. Linde gifted in the contemporary romance department, she is also great at delivering a paranormal romance with a unique twist. I do have to say that out of the entire Blood Type Trilogy, Blood Cure is my favorite! I loved the ending, it was sooo good!! Highly recommend it if you love vampires! 🔥🔥🔥

All of Me by A. L. Jackson

A. L. Jackson has outdone herself with this story! All of Me completely drew me in, it was a page-turner until the very end. If you love heartwarming reads with a great level of detail then I would highly recommend checking out this book and any others by the author!!!!

Part- Time Lover by Lauren Blakely

I couldn't not include this book in my top ten, it was incredible! This books leans more on the romantic comedy side that had me laughing and rooting for the characters until the very end. It was a sweet read that I would highly recommend reading (This one is set in Denmark, Copenhagen) 😍

Royally Yours by Emma Chase

Even though I haven't read any of the previous books in the Royally Series, I couldn't passed on reading this book when I had the chance! Not having read any other books by the author before, I didn't know what to expect. Needless to say I was immediately impressed with overall story and the characters themselves. It was a sweet read that had me in tears by the end of it and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. Highly recommend it! 👑😍

The Witch of Willow Hall by Hester Fox

This is a book that I managed to read towards the end of the year that I wasn't expecting to like as much as I do. For being Hester Fox's debut novel, The Witch of Willow Hall completely blew me away! It's such a descriptive story filled with twists and turns that had me at the edge of my seat. If you want to read a beautifully written historical novel, I would highly recommend reading this book. It will not disappoint! 😊

My Review:

“No woman is born a Queen. Kings are crowned. But Queens… Queens rise.”

Not having read any other books by Emma Chase before, I wasn’t sure what to expect before reading Royally Yours. Needless to say I was impressed with her vivid writing and her ability to deliver such a fairytale love story.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet Lenora Pembrook, Princess and future Queen of Wessco. The first queen that Wessco has ever had and with that comes a lot of responsibilities. She has been trained to be the future of her country and there isn’t enough time for her to do anything else for herself. It’s on her sixteenth birthday that she ends up making friends with Thomas, the Duke of Anthrop, and it is through their growing friendship that she is able to gain a confidant and loyal friend who she values the most. She knows that her future as queen will leave her with very few “close” friends and she wants to keep those that she values the most close. Yet, it is on her 19th birthday that her father passes away and she crowned Queen of Wessco. Now she has to find a way to rule the country and with the help of her friends she is able to make future plans for her country, but she is immediately told that she must marry in order to keep the crown.

Everyone around her has seen how independent and clever she is and to keep her under their will she must marry. Lenora doesn’t want to marry anyone, but the council thinks that it will not look good on her if she remains alone. That is when all eyes turn to Thomas, he is the perfect candidate for her, and after unexpected events he is no longer an option. But his older brother, Edward becomes her new option and although she doesn’t know what to think of his at first she quickly warms up to the idea of becoming his wife. And that’s when their adventure truly begins as they go through the ups and downs of their relationship and as they try to navigate their future as rulers of Wessco. 

I cannot say enough good things about Royally Yours, it was truly a swoon worthy read from beginning to end! It’s a story about romance, friendship and a fairytale ending that you just can’t miss. I fell in love with the characters and their story. Lenora is such a badass who is courageous and kind. She truly loves her country and will do anything to keep her people save. On the other hand, Edward comes to her in a rather unexpected way. She first learns of him through the letters he sent Thomas while he was traveling the world. It was his sense of adventure and bravery that attracted her to him right away. They are both united by their connection to Thomas and they honor that in a sweet way. Lenora truly grows in the book, she becomes a true Queen who her parents would be very proud of. The ending was touching and sentimental. It brought me to tears to say the least and it gave us a glimpse of the future to come. All in all, if you’re looking for the perfect royal romance with a few twists and turns then I would highly recommend reading Royally Yours. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series and any other books by the author. :)

“Are you a virgin?” I ask.

I don’t realize I’m leaning toward her until she stops talking and I almost fall over.

“You . . . what?”

Sarah hides behind her hands.

“I threw up on him.”

And I try not to laugh. I swear I try . . . but I’m only human. So I end up laughing so hard the car shakes and I can’t speak for several minutes.

“Christ almighty.”

“And I’d had fish and chips for lunch.” Sarah’s laughing too. “It was awful.”

“Oh you poor thing.” I shake my head, still chuckling. “And poor Davey.”

“Yes.” She wipes under her eyes with her finger. “Poor Davey. He never came near me again after that.”

“Coward—he didn’t deserve you. I would’ve swam through a whole lake of puke to take a girl like you to the social.”

The next week is blissfully uneventful. I address Palace business during the day, and spend my nights with Olivia—which are so much more than blissful.

Her eyes darken, the way they do when she’s right on the edge—right before she comes. And she moves closer to me.

“Do you…want to do that?”

My gaze drags down, down, over every sumptuous inch of her body.
