On the surface, Fleur Marceaux has it all. If only the facade matched reality. With one year left at the International School in London, Fleur’s struggling to graduate, her love life is a mess, and she can’t stop thinking about Max, her ex-boyfriend’s best friend. But all that pales compared to the blackmailer determined to destroy her.

There’s a social hierarchy at the International School and Max Tucker is outside the velvet ropes. After watching Fleur break his friend’s heart, Max knows to stay away from trouble, despite the crush he’s had on her since freshman year. But when they’re partnered on a project, Max learns there’s more to Fleur than meets the eye, and she just might be worth the wild ride.

The more time they spend together, the further Max falls. And when a kiss awakens a passion Fleur never imagined, she’s unable to resist Max, who she had thought was all wrong for her but might be the only thing that’s right. But will he stand by her when her secrets are revealed?

My Review:

A satisfying conclusion to an amazing series...

Having read and enjoyed all three of the books in the International School series, my favorite book out of the three will have to be French Kissed. I enjoyed reading the book from Fleur's P.O.V, and to see how she got her happy ending. In I See London (Book 1) and London Falling (Book 2), we are introduced to Fleur, but we never get to see what happens in her life, she is after all one of the secondary characters in the first two books. So I was glad to hear that Chanel Cleeton was going to write a book in her point-of-view!

Fleur Marceaux has it all, she has the looks, friends, influence, and the money to get just about anything she wants. Her reputation is important to her at the International School in London, but when a series of emails threaten to expose her past, she is determine to find out who is behind them before it's too late. Now coming closer to graduation, Fleur has to face questions revolving her future. She is uncertain of what she truly wants to do once she graduates, but that's not the only thing that she has on her mind. Lately she has been thinking about her ex-boyfriend's best friend, Max Tucker, the irresistible American who seems to be everywhere. The minute she discovers that Max is going to be in her class, and that they are going to be partners in a project, she doesn't like that at all. There is an undeniable attraction that she feels towards him that she can't control, the more time they spend together, the more she opens up to him, and she starts to realize that they might just be meant to be together after all.

Max Tucker has always had a crush on Fleur, even before she got together with his friend, he felt an attraction towards her that for some reason didn't go away. Everyone knows that there is some type of social hierarchy at the International School, and students who are not on top of the social latter aren't always welcomed, and Fleur just happens to be right at the top that makes it hard for anyone like Max to even get a chance to talk to her. Little did he know that his luck was about to change when he gets partnered up with her for a business project. It is clear at first that Fleur is not too pleased with the arrangement, but Max quickly learns that she is so much more than what she lets others see and he is willing to stick around if she haves him.

There were a lot of things that I really liked about this book, one of them being the plot line. I liked the character development in both of the characters, and how the story flow nicely as it came to an end. Max's personality balanced out Fleur's own personality in the book, and their chemistry is instant that it made it enjoyable to read. I absolutely loved the ending, it was sweet and full of hope for the characters that it makes me sad to see it end. But I'm also excited to read upcoming works by Chanel Cleeton in the future. Overall, I would highly recommend the series to anyone. Even though French Kissed is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone, since the book talks about the secondary characters that were in book 1 and 2. I would still suggest reading the first two books, just to get a good feel of the characters, but it's not necessary. :)

Series: I See London #2

We weren't a relationship, we were a ticking time bomb...

Maggie Carpenter walked away from the hottest encounter of her life when she left the seductive glitz of England for summer break in her South Carolina hometown. Now that she’s returned to the International School in London—and sexy, privileged Samir Khouri is once again close enough to touch—she can’t help but remember the attraction, the drama … the heartbreak.

She can’t help but want him even more.

Samir can’t afford to fall for someone so far removed from his world, not when his time in London is running out. It's his senior year—his last chance at freedom before he returns home to Lebanon. There, he’ll be expected to follow in his father’s footsteps—not follow his heart to Maggie. But when a scorching secret hookup becomes a temptation neither can resist, they’ll both have to fight to survive the consequences … and find a future together.

My Review:

I absolutely loved London Falling, it was even better and more emotional than the first book, I See London. Chanel Cleenton did an amazing job writing this book, it was more focused on Maggie and Samir's relationship, where as the first book felt more of a adventure for Maggie and the start of her love for Samir.

In London Falling, Maggie returns to London after spending her summer vacation in South Carolina with her grandparents. Now that she is back, she'll have to deal with seeing Samir after their night together and deal with the consequences. But as their undeniable attraction for each other grows more, the more drama and heartbreak they face.

Learning that Samir can never be hers, Maggie tries everything to avoid being around Samir, but it's evident that even as friends they can't be away from each other. So instead, Samir comes up with an idea that will either help them be together or hurt them in the end. As everyone around Maggie returns for another year at the International School, she'll be facing with the hardest decision of her life.

I really enjoyed reading London Falling, it was such a page-turner for me that kept me up all night. I just had to read what was going to happen next. Chanel Cleenton did a good job describing realistic issues that couples might go through, in reference to choosing the one that you love over one's own family. There were a lot of decisions that Maggie and Samir had to make and the twists in the book made it that much more exciting/enjoyable to read. The settings were well throughout as well as the descriptions, that's one thing that I really liked about both books, the descriptions are spot on. Not only is the book very well-written, but the emotional aspect of the book made me care for the characters and see where they end. Overall, the book was great and I highly recommend both books if you're looking for something to do with traveling, glamour, romance, drama, friendships, and twists! (Or if you just love London as much as I do) :D

Maggie Carpenter is ready for a change— and to leave her ordinary life in South Carolina behind. But when she accepts a scholarship to the International School in London, a university attended by the privileged offspring of diplomats and world leaders, Maggie might get more than she bargained for.

When Maggie meets Hugh, a twentysomething British guy, she finds herself living the life she always wanted. Suddenly she’s riding around the city in a Ferrari, wearing borrowed designer clothes and going to the hottest clubs. The only problem? Another guy, the one she can’t seem to keep her hands off of.

Half French, half Lebanese, and ridiculously wealthy, Samir Khouri has made it clear he doesn’t do relationships. He’s the opposite of everything Maggie thought she wanted…and he’s everything she can’t resist. Torn between her dream guy and the boy haunting her dreams, Maggie has to fight for her own happy ending. In a city like London, you never know where you stand, and everything can change in the blink of an eye.

This is a New Adult romance recommended for readers 17 and up.

My Review:

I loved reading I See London! I not only connected with the characters, but the setting itself was just amazing! Chanel Cleenton did a good job describing London, Paris, and Venice. I've always wanted to go there and I felt that the descriptions in the book were vivid enough that it makes me want to travel that much more.

The story itself was intriguing, every single character is complex and all of them seem to have backup stories that we only get to a glimpse of them in the book. I See London follows the story of Maggie Carpenter, a recent high school graduate that has always aspired to go to Harvard, but with a rejection letter and no backup plan she suddenly finds herself flying to London to attend an International school. The minute she arrives to London everything is foreign to her, but that soon changes the minute she forms new friendships and new adventures. Along the way, Maggie will also have to decide what's important to her and whether or not she wants to risk everything for the guy that she can't seem to resist.

When Maggie arrives to the International School in London she meets Samir. Half French and half Lebanese, Samir Khouri is the epitome of perfection in a guy. He is not only wealthy, extremely good looking, and very smart (he can basically get a perfect score without having to take notes or study in class). This all looks good to Maggie, but Samir has made it clear that he doesn't do relationships making it a problem for her. But having met Samier doesn't stop her form meeting other guys and that's when she meets Hugh, a very attractive British guy that seems to have everything Maggie wanted. He is kind, wealthy, and also cares for her a lot. Now Maggie will have to choose between the two.

Having already expressed how much I loved this story at the beginning, there were also a lot of things that I really liked about the book. The story is very well-written and thought out. Maggie's character is one that I had a bit trouble liking, she doesn't have the best relationship with her dad and being sort of neglected by him makes her future decisions not the best. Although Samir has the “bad-boy” reputation, he is still a nice guy. He is the character that I enjoyed reading about the most, whereas Hugh, not so much. The sexual tension between Maggie and Samir throughout the book is obvious, and it just made me want to keep reading, for the lack of not knowing what was going to happen next. Overall, Chanel Cleeton did a good job with the story, I highly recommend it and will be reading the second book as soon as it comes out.
