🔖 REVIEW BLITZ 🔖 Serves Me Wright by K.A. Linde

Serves Me Wright by K.A. Linde

Release Date: July 20th 2021
Series: Wright #9
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

A new stand alone fake relationship romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

I never thought I’d say yes to a fake date.

Let alone with Julian Wright.

But I’m stuck attending my perfect brother’s doctoral graduation, and I can’t suffer through another round of parental disappointment. Julian has to go to a charity function he planned with his ex-girlfriend. We both need a date.

Yes, we shared one kiss in a darkened office to make his ex jealous. But it wasn’t real. Was it?

I’m sure I can get through this. Until we get to the house and there’s only one bed.

I’ve pined for Julian for three long years. More than my body is on the line...I need to guard my heart.

Because if I get hurt in our fake relationship, then it serves me Wright.

My Review:

K.A. Linde is back with yet another swoon worthy story in her Wright Series. Serves Me Wright is a fake dating friends-to-lovers romance that’s emotional, steamy and will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Jennifer Gibson, a photographer working for the Wright Vineyard. After working for the past few years as a wedding and elopement travel photographer, Jennifer was happy to accept a job that won’t have her constantly gone every weekend. But no matter how many places she has traveled to or how many awards she has won, Jennifer hasn’t had the best luck when it comes to dating or having the best relationship with her mom. It’s after the last date that she went on that she decides not to date for a while and focus on her career. Yet, the minute her mom asks her to attend her brother’s graduation, Jennifer realizes that she’ll be alone at the mercy of her mom’s constant comments about her job.

That’s when Julian Wright, her boss and friend offers to be her date for her brother’s graduation if she attends a charity function gala with him in a month. Jennifer has been attracted to Julian since they met 3 years ago and ever since then she has always had feelings for him. But she doesn’t think he shares the same feelings and decides not to do anything about it. Until they end up going to her brother’s graduation and they happen to share the same bed that things quickly change. The more time they spend together, the more she realizes that she is falling for a guy that just as quickly can break her heart.

After living in Vancouver, Julian Wright decides to move to Lubbock to be with his mom and get to know the rest of his family. The Wright name holds a lot of power in Lubbock, Texas and he is excited to venture on his own and opens up the Wright Vineyard. He is proud of working on something he loves, but coming from a well-respected family puts pressure on how successful his business needs to be. To top it all of, his ex does not want to leave him alone and insists on getting him back. To make sure his ex stay away, Julian needs a date for the upcoming gala where he will be networking and hopes to get the deal he is hoping to get. So there is no surprise when he hears that Jennifer needs a date for her brother’s graduation that he offers to go with her, in exchange for her to accompany him to the gala as his fake girlfriend. But it’s along the way that he starts to wish that they could be in an actual relationship. Jennifer is a hard worker, kind and beautiful. He is truly falling for her, but it would only take a mistake on his part to put their relationship in jeopardy.

I’m a huge fan of the Wright Series, Linde has managed to create a series filled with lovable and relatable characters. Serves Me Wright was no different, we get to go on journey as the characters go through a series of changes and ultimately find their purpose. It has taken a while for Jennifer to finally find what she loves to do and for her parents to accept that photography is an actual job. She wishes she could stand up for herself and not let their comments bring her down. Whereas, Julian has been through a lot when it comes to the health of his mom and now having his dad back in his life is not exactly helping. The two characters balance each other out and it’s when they are together that they are able to help one another. Until they have to go through yet another obstacle that can ruin their future, that they have to decide if their relationship is worth the shot or not. The ending was really cute and if you love a good fake dating romance than this is the right for you.! :)

**I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.**
