So, forget about the rules. Ignore the warning signs.
Embrace the illicit, and allow yourself a taste of the…
The words were spoken quietly but made Melinda jump. She turned her head, prepared to lambaste whichever asshole at the bar had thought it clever to throw a speed bump onto the road to trashed town she’d been cruising for the last hour.
He blinked at her from behind thick-framed glasses as she took his measure. Innocuous smile, baggie khakis, wrinkled shirt, she pegged him as a geek from the Comic-Con also being held at the hotel. The heat went out of her irritation. No need to crucify the guy. She just wanted to be left alone. But as she opened her mouth to tell him so, the tricky bastard preempted her. He smiled.
Glasses bobbing on his cheeks, his ordinary brown eyes warmed to amber. Dual rows of gleaming teeth appeared between generous lips, deep lines bracketing the suggestive display. Melinda’s breath caught in her throat. Her mouth went dry. Every thought flew out of her head as her brain short-circuited. Reason was replaced by the ridiculous impulse to demand he take her to bed immediately, if not sooner.
Sometimes dreams change…and sometimes it takes a dream reader to make it happen.
When Jaden Wilde’s girlfriend turns down his marriage proposal just months before he receives his master’s in counseling, he’s convinced that it’s cold feet. Until he learns that her no came at the advice of a new age “dream reader.” But Arsula’s hardly the woo-woo hippie his scholarly mind imagined. She’s charming, smart, and uncannily perceptive. And before long, he’s drawn to her—despite his ongoing skepticism for how her practice works.
Arsula’s intuitions led her to Birch Bay not to guide Jaden’s girlfriend—but to guide him to his best life possible. As the odd one out in an unsupportive family, Arsula can relate to the struggle to find one’s path, and she wants to see Jaden with the woman of his dreams. Although she’s cautious of being the rebound girl, what she’s starting to feel for him is too real to ignore.
When Jaden’s own volatile family issues come to a head and his doubts are made resoundingly clear, Arsula worries she’s misread the signs. Maybe they’re all wrong for each other. Maybe he should be with his ex. She’s supported him, but if he can’t believe in her, how will they ever find out if they’re truly meant to be?
The ringing of a bell interrupted her thoughts, and when she realized it was coming from directly below the open door, she rose and crossed the room. Standing at the bottom of the stairs, with a light now shining in the stairwell, was Jaden, dressed in a pair of black slacks she hadn’t seen before—split at the knee to accommodate the cast—a white button-down shirt, and no expression on his face whatsoever.
The bell kept ringing.
“I take it you need something?” She rested her shoulder against the doorframe and shot him a sarcastic look.
“I do.”
“Is that so?” She highly doubted it. She made a show of angling her head in both directions as if checking to see that nothing looked out of place. “You don’t look to be in pain of any sort.”
He rang the bell harder, but his lack of expression didn’t change.
“Jaden,” she finally yelled out, and his hand quit moving. “I’m busy up here.” She thought about the website and had the idea to show it to him. Would that help him to see that she wasn’t just a flake?
Did she really care what he thought about her?
She did.
And for some reason, the idea of showing it to him excited her.
The bell started up again, before she could make up her mind to grab the laptop and take it down to him, and as the noise clanged louder, Jaden’s expression went from nonexistent to one of mulish intent. He clearly intended to keep ringing the blasted thing until she went down there.
“Stop ringing that bell!” Though she hadn’t heard the noise in days, he’d rung it enough the first couple of weeks to make her regret ever giving it to him. And at the moment, she regretted forgetting to take it away.
“Then come down here and see what I want,” he yelled back.
“You don’t need anything!”
The noise stopped so abruptly that she weaved in place, suddenly off balance. “But I do,” he told her, and this time his tone was sincere.
AUTHOR BIO:
As a child, award-winning author Kim Law cultivated a love for chocolate, anything purple, and creative writing. She penned her debut work, "The Gigantic Talking Raisin," in the sixth grade and got hooked on the delights of creating stories. Before settling into the writing life, however, she earned a college degree in mathematics and worked as a computer programmer. Now she's pursuing her lifelong dream of writing romance novels. She has won the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award, has been a finalist for the prestigious RWA RITA Award, and has served in varied positions for her local RWA chapter. A native of Kentucky, Kim lives with her husband and an assortment of animals in Middle Tennessee.
Melanie Moreland has become one of my favorite go-to authors for all things romance, she knows how to deliver a great story filled with substance and swoon worthy moments. Needless to say, Reid did not disappoint at all. Ever since finding out that he was getting his own story, I couldn’t wait to read the book and it’s by far my favorite book in the entire series.
At the beginning we are introduced to Reid Mathews, after being abandoned by his mother when he was just baby, he grew up in the foster care system without ever knowing what it was like to have a family to call his own. There was no one to really look out for him and as he grew older he discovered that he was good with computers and one wrong decision had sentenced to jail at such a young age. Without knowing anything else he taught himself as much as he could while he was in prison and that’s what helps him out when he get out. Reid is able to find himself a job in the IT department of non other than BAM. It is then that his future changes forever. Not only is he devoted to his friends/bosses, but he has proven to be a brilliant tech wiz at the company. That is when he meets Rebecca Holden, that his life takes an unexpected turn of events.
As the new marketing manager working at BAM, Rebecca Holden is an important member of the group. As a liaison for The Gavin Group she is only supposed to be at BAM temporarily, but one look at Reid has her changing her mind about leaving soon. She is a strong woman who knows what she wants and that attracts her to Reid. He is completely taken by her the minute they meet and he wants to make her his. But there are things in his past that could threaten his future and he is in constant struggle to move on for good. He worries that he is not good enough for Becca and the longer he takes to move on the more he is risking a future with her.
I absolutely loved reading this story, it was filled with humor and romance. There is a twist to the story that I found interesting from the start and had me reading non stop until the very end. The interaction that Reid had with previous characters in the series completely tied the story very well. Although this book can be read as a standalone, it would be best enjoyed to read the previous characters in order to get a better background story. There wasn’t a huge conflict in the story to be solved other than Reid’s self doubt and how he finally moves on from his past. The ending was EVERYTHING! It’s definitely a must read! I would highly recommend reading this story and any others by the author, you will not regret it. :)

My Rating:
{EXCERPT}
We spent the entire day together. I worked on the system, with Becca acting as my assistant. More than once, she rose up on her toes for a kiss. More than once, I had her pressed to the wall, devouring her mouth. It was the best install I had ever done.
“You are such a good kisser,” she murmured against my mouth. “How can a virgin be so good at kissing?”
Pleased she was enjoying my caresses, I grinned. “I have kissed girls and women, but, as I said, I haven’t gone beyond that.” I cupped her face, dragging my lips across her cheek to her sensitive earlobe. “I was waiting for the right person.”
“And I’m that person?”
“Yes,” I stated with conviction, dropping another kiss to her mouth. “You are.” I ran my fingers over my lips, then grabbed my drill.
“Why do you do that?”
“Do what?”
“You press your fingers on your mouth every time we kiss.”
“Oh, ah…” I stalled, looking over her shoulder. I felt heat prickle my neck.
“Tell me,” she insisted. “I want to know.”
“I like how it feels when you kiss me. I guess I’m sort of sealing you into me. Keeping your taste locked into my mouth.”
She stared at me, blinking and silent.
“Is that weird? It’s weird. I’m sorry.”
I wasn’t prepared when she launched herself at me. The drill flew one way; we hit the wall behind me, a mass of entangled arms and legs, her mouth on mine, hard and passionate. I slid down the wall to the floor, taking her with me. She was ferocious in her intensity, her kisses deep and possessive.
“You say the most erotic words,” she groaned. “Sealing my taste into you?”
“So, not weird?” I moaned as she kissed her way down my neck.
“No, not weird.” She hovered over me, her dark hair falling like a waterfall around us. “You turn me on like no man has ever done, Reid. Ever.” She kissed me again.
I was good with that.

Welcome to the most exclusive club in the world. The Novo Club. Novo is Latin for “change.” Our members prefer the word “shift” though.
It’s the hottest club in town.
The price of membership is your heart and your secrecy.
All you need to do to join is to be loved beyond your wildest imagination by someone powerful with an…alpha side so primal it’s in their blood.
Are you ready?
Good. Then let’s begin.
The Billionaire Shifters Club is a new series featuring the five Stanton siblings, four brothers and one sister who are all part of an ancient shifter family living in modern America. The subterranean club-within-a-club beneath the streets of Boston, Massachusetts holds secrets only the Stantons and their fellow shifters know.
As he watched the elevators close, he felt like four chambers of red, pounding flesh, beating in sync to pump himself into the world, taking it over, king of it all. Sophia’s fear bubbled off her like hot water on a griddle, bouncing and tingling until it evaporated into nothing but the memory of the ripple. She was pure beauty in pulsing form, every single cell of her deliciously large frame filled with nothing but attention to him.
Just as nature intended.
Power coursed through him like a drug, making his head light with an irrepressible urge to smile, to laugh, to take in the wonder of his connection to, well, everything.
Everything but her.
Time to fix that. Now.
Drawn to Sophia, he reached for her shoulders, finding resistance that only spurred him on, his body moving as if choreographed, her hot, sweet mouth against his before he knew it. She was tall, impossibly so, but even more outrageous was the fact that he was taller. Last year she’d towered over him.
Last year he’d ached to say yes to her offer of a one-night stand, but principle had left him lonely that night. Her reputation preceded her: Sophia Stanton, the wildly sex-positive billionaire heiress who bedded men the way most women shopped for shoes.
Now, though, their mouths fit perfectly together, tongues tangled as his hands, big and strong, plunged into her long hair, grasping close to her scalp with an intensity that made her gasp—and made him grin. Power was intoxicating, a thrill ride that made the kiss like a roller coaster, highs and lows a dizzying race, stomach fluttering, body braced for impact.
He knew exactly where he wanted to impact her, too.

Finn knows the fire is dragon-caused, which puts Delaney’s problems directly in his jurisdiction. No matter how her wounded grey eyes call to every part of him, he refuses to risk her life in the mating process.
Until another dragon threatens to claim Delaney for his own, and Finn has to sacrifice everything to keep her alive...
No way was she misinterpreting the need reflecting back at her.
Say it, she silently urged. Too proud to beg out loud. Do something.
“What do you want, Finn?” she repeated.
Please.
He tipped his head down, though his gaze remained on her, but the light in those blue depths shifted, turning from banked need, held ruthlessly in check, to a possessiveness that drew her body into aching awareness.
He pulled lightly on her wrist, drawing her across what had been an impassable chasm of space, until she was flush against his hard body. His other hand came under the fall of her hair to rest against her neck.
She didn’t look away, not even as he lowered his head, his movement agonizingly slow. His mouth only a whisper from hers, he stopped.
“You,” he said. “I want you.”
Finally. She had no idea if she closed the distanced between their lips or if he did. She only knew that she was getting exactly what she wanted.
Sensation forced her eyes closed as the heat of him seeped into her skin, her body flushing with it, swamping her senses. Their tongues tangled, his mouth hard and urgent against hers, like he couldn’t get enough, like he needed to possess her. The speed of her body’s reaction was so fast, so immediate, that she went dizzy with the need, like looking over the edge of a terrifying drop.
She was too out of her element, too out of control, but she didn’t want to stop. She wanted more.
He released her wrist, wrapping his arm around her waist, her softness yielding to his hard body as he held her closer. At the same time, he loosened his grip on her neck, brushing over the sensitive skin at her nape with his fingers.
Shards of electricity zapped from that simple touch directly to her core, which throbbed in response. At the same time, warmth from that touch spread through her on a wave of a feeling akin to total acceptance. Like this was where she was supposed to be. A low moan dragged from her mouth as he lifted her, just enough that it put him in complete control. He slipped a thigh between her legs, then pressed her down.
Holy hell.
Delaney leaned into him, her body softening into his, attuned to what his wicked hands and lips were doing to her even as her heart beat fast has hummingbird’s wings just to be in his arms. She arched into him, moving against him with a moan.
His hand slid under her shirt and he brushed against the sensitive flesh at her waist, his skin warm against hers. Which only made her want more skin.
With eager hands, she tugged at his black t-shirt, breaking their kisses only long enough to pull it over his head. Then she allowed her hands to roam, to feel the rigid strength in his body, loving the heat of him, the bourbon and Coke smell of him.
A shudder shook his body. “I want you.” He paused, then said something else under his breath. Something like, “More than I should let myself.” But then his lips were back on hers, addling her senses and taking over her mind.
A bellow rent the air and jerked Delaney out of the oblivion of pleasure where she floated. She snapped her head up, breaking the kiss to listen. Another sound that she could only classify as a roar broke the stillness.
“What was that?” she asked. Fear, rather than need, had her heart tripping over itself inside her chest. “It sounds like a…wounded animal.”
Finn gave a low rumble that sounded more like a warning growl than anything a human would make, and her heart slammed into high gear. Slowly, dread pulling at her, she turned her head to look directly at him.
To encounter eyes ablaze. Not figuratively. Literally ablaze. Blue flames consumed his irises.
What the hell? Panic spiked inside her, and her breath came out in short, sharp bursts, speeding up as she absorbed what she was seeing.
Adrenaline joined the fear and she shoved his chest. Hard.
She must’ve surprised him, because Finn released her, stumbling back a few paces. She managed to keep her feet under her, then scrambled back, trying not to trip over any rocks in her path.
He held up his hands. “Delaney, don’t—”
She did the only thing she could. She ran.

“A suspenseful, tangled, erotic love story from the twisted minds of New York Times Bestselling author, JA Huss, and actor/screenwriter, Johnathan McClain.”
Alec. Christine. Danny. This is how you say our names. Danger is our drug of choice, the triangle our addiction.
Alec. Golden boy with diamonds in his eyes. Christine. Partner in crime and owner of my heart. They know what they want. Me. Danny. Unsure of everything they’re offering.
But if she needs me, I come. So when he called, I went. It’s just that simple.
Until it wasn’t. Until all those memories come rushing back with all the things we left behind.
I only know three things. There is no her without him. No me without them. No we without us. We are Alec, Christine, and Danny. And this is the shape of our love.
I’m looking at Alec when these words echo in my head. He’s looking back at me like… like he needs something. He’s always had that look. I’ve always felt that need. “Back in the gym that first day we met,” I say.
“Yeah?”
“You said you were there for me.”
“I was.”
“Why?” I say. “What the fuck did you ever need from me?”
His eyes narrow a little. “Let’s start with what I didn’t need, yeah?”
“Whatever.”
“I didn’t need your help,” he says. “Not the way you thought. I certainly didn’t need anyone’s help stealing diamonds. Hell, I didn’t need to steal diamonds at all. That’s not why I wanted you around. And I definitely didn’t need a fourteen-year-old girl hanging about. No offense,” he says, eyes meeting Christine’s briefly before returning to me.
“Then what the fuck was all that about? Just the thrill? The danger? What?”
“A bit of that, I guess. But why can’t it just be about you, man? Why do you find that so hard to believe?”
“So you wanted to fuck me?”
“Everyone wants to fuck you, Danny.”
Christine laughs.
“You’re bleeding hot, bru. You’ve got everything going for you.”
“Shit,” I say.
“You do. More than I ever had. Not money. Obviously. I’m talking about… this… self-possession. Even before I knew you, I saw it. You walked around with a goddamn invisible sign on your chest that said, Take it or leave it. I wanted that.”
“So you wanted me?”
He shrugs. “What can I tell you? It’s not fokken rocket science. It’s just… attraction. Which is more of an earth science.” He winks.
And in the moment I take to process this, his hand slides up to my neck. His fingers wrap around and grip. Just enough to make me lean forward into his space.
I know what’s coming. And it’s not our first, so my heart shouldn’t be beating so fast.
But it is.
Because when his mouth finds mine I do something different.
I don’t give in, I don’t give up, I don’t resist, and I don’t complain.
I just… kiss him back.
The way he wants me to. The way I’d kiss Christine if it was her, not him.
Open mouth. Pliant lips. Probing tongue.
Long, deep breaths in those fractional seconds when we change position. Inhaling, and exhaling. Christine’s body between us. Her arms around us, hands wandering, fingertips encouraging.
We’ve been here before. Hell, the past two days we’ve gotten past this point a few times.
But it feels different.
It feels intentional. This kiss is no accident. Not a heat-of-the-moment reaction.
It’s deliberate, and passionate, and real.
