Anything For You by Layla Hagen
Release Date: May 3rd 2018
Series: The Connor Family #1
Genres: Romance, Contemporary
Hotshot CEO Landon Connor has many talents. He’s successful and driven, and maybe a little too career-focused. Some (like his big and boisterous family) would even call him a workaholic. Landon has good reasons for putting his personal life on hold…
But meeting landscape designer Maddie Jennings makes him question his choices. He can’t get enough of her sweetness, or her sensual curves. Maddie Jennings is all he sees, and everything he wants.
Maddie hasn’t met anyone quite like Landon. He’s sexier than anyone has the right to be, and more intense too. He’s a little bossy, a lot hot. Despite fanning herself every time he comes near her, she tries to ignore their attraction. Maddie isn’t sure that she and Landon are quite right for each other.
When Landon romances her with late night walks and sinful dancing, she can’t help giving in to him. His touch is intoxicating, and their passion is scorching hot. His love is beautiful.
But can Landon open up his heart for longer than a summer?

My Review:
Anything For You is a story about second chances at love and new beginnings. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Landon Connor, a successful CEO of a software company based in San Jose. Although his life is full of business deals and more work, Landon hasn’t taken a real vacation in years and when his right hand, Adam suggests he takes some time off he agrees. It has been a while since he has spent any time with his family and he takes off to L.A. where he ends up meeting Maddie Jennings. Landon knows that he is going back to San Jose soon, but he can’t help to feel attracted to her right away. After the dead of his wife, he put off dating and focused on work for so long that he doesn’t know if it’s the right time to move on. His family supports him and want to see him happy again, but even they can’t stop him from leaving in two weeks. That is all he has to be with Maddie, but the more time they spend together the more he realizes just how compatible they are and he doesn’t want to let her go.
As a landscaping architect, Maddie Jennings gets to do what she loves everyday. But when she gets hired to transform a property into a terraced garden, she happily takes on the job and she grows to like the family that she works for. The Connors are friendly and respect that work that she does. But when she meets one of the oldest of the Connor’s siblings, she wasn’t expecting to feel a pull towards him right away. He is not only attractive, but also kind and charming. When she needs help, he is there for her right away and takes care of her. She knows that he is going to be in L.A. for two weeks and their time is limited, but she wants to be with him no matter what. As the two get to know each other, she tells him about her previous relationship and how she felt mistreated. Maddie is a strong woman and she loves what she does for a living no matter what other people think of her. Yet, when their time is up she must make a choice of whether pursuing a relationship with Landon is worth it after all.
The story was well executed and I loved the characters. Landon is such a gentleman and cares for Maddie, though he can be a bit overprotective at times. He has dealt with a lot growing up and losing his wife completely destroyed him. His siblings and his job have kept him busy and full of life. He takes care of them and wants to do right by them. We also get to find out about Maddie’s previous relationship and the impact that it has had on her ever since she ended it. The two a strong individuals in their own right, but they make a great team together. Overall, I loved the overall story and then ending, the author did a great job tying everything really well. I would highly recommend reading this story, it will not disappoint. :)
