I shouldn’t have hooked up with my one night stand... again.
To be fair, I was having the worst day of my life. I was sure that nothing else could go wrong.
Then in walks Jordan Wright.
We have a heated history, and I’ve been avoiding him. Not least of all because he’s a hundred percent my type with those big brown eyes, a ripped body, and his blisteringly broody charm. I said I’d never go near him again.
But he’s there for me when I need him. And well, old habits die hard.
Only problem?
I’m leaving in a matter of months, and nothing is going to change my mind.
Maybe in the meantime, I can still have my Wright...with benefits.

My Review:
At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Annie Donoghue, a medical student in Lubbock, Texas. It’s her last semester of medical school and Annie is not having a good day, everything is going wrong. From her house getting flooded to having to fix an issue with a professor’s retirement party. Yet, little did she know that her day was about to get worse the minute she bumps into the one-night stand she had with non other than Jordan Wright.
It’s been three years since they’ve met and Annie is still mad at him for not telling her that he was going to come back to Texas even after telling her that he was not coming back at all. He fractured her trust, but when he offers to help her, she can’t turn him down and soon they are crossing that line again. There is something different this time around, Jordan now lives in Texas and knowing that they’ll be seeing a lot more of each other they decide to come up with an arrangement of their own. She’ll be leaving to do her residency soon and Annie is not interested in having a relationship so they decide to have a friends with benefits arrangement without realizing that once giving in to their needs, feelings will develop once again. Annie has always had feelings for Jordan, but soon things start to change the minute her ex comes back to town and when shocking news threaten their future together.
When Jordan Wright sees Annie for the first time, he is taken by her beauty and confidence. Once she introduced herself all bets were off and he wanted to be with her knowing that their time was limited. Running the Canadian branch of Wright Construction, Jordan’s career is important to him as well as his family. So when it came to his mom and brother to move back to Texas with the rest of the Wrights, he is there to make sure they are settled until he sees Annie again at a family gathering. They have an explosive night together, but he left and it’s been a while since they’ve been able to talk again. Moving to Texas was a huge change for him and while he is busy working on a new business venture with his brother and cousin, Jordan still can’t get his mind off Annie. She fits seamlessly with him and the more time they spend together, the more he realizes that he doesn’t want to let go. It would take a turn of events to put his feelings on the line and he’ll have to decide if he is strong enough to let Annie go or fight for her when the time comes.
I’m so glad Linde brought us back to the Wright Series, I loved the previous books and this was no different. From the character development to the storyline, Wright with Benefits had it all. There is this sizzling chemistry between the characters that had me hooked from beginning to end. We also get more background into why Annie decided to become a doctor and why it’s important to her that she does. Having lived in Lubbock her entire life, she dreams of living somewhere else and she doesn’t want to have any strings attached by having a relationship. Jordan supports her decision as he is also busy with his career. Neither of them expected to fall madly in love and they have to face obstacles coming their way if they are going to have any sort of future together. Linde bring us a steamy romance full of emotions! The ending had me rooting for the characters and although I wish the author could have elaborated on some things, the ending was still great. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, highly recommend it! :)
