🌟 My Top TEN Books Read in 2023! 🌟

What a year it has been! Full of ups and downs, another year has concluded and it's time to look back at what we've read and today I'm rounding up my top ten books that I read in 2023.

Let me know what were some of your favorite books of 2023. Wishing everyone a happy New Year filled happiness, health and lots of books! 🎉

Here are my top ten books that I read in 2023 {In no particular order!}

Three to Get Ready by Skye Warren

I loved the conclusion to the One for the Money Trilogy! Warren did a great job with the story, it was swoon worthy and heart warming. One of those series that I will definitely be reading again!

MY REVIEW

Sincerely, Your Inconvenient Wife by Julia Wolf

The chemistry between the characters is off-the charts! Will definitely be reading more from the author in the future. :)

Gates of Paradise by Melissa De La Cruz

It took me a while to get to this book, but I can finally say that I have finished reading this amazing series. If you love vampires and Gossip Girl (the original show) then I would recommend checking out the books. The ending took by surprise, it was nostalgic and emotional. :)

I'll Always Be With You by Monica Murphy

This was my first read from Monica Murphy and it will certainly not be the last. I loved this book from beginning to end. We really get to see the characters develop over time and the ending was perfect for them. (:

Wait for Always by K.A. Linde

I was waiting for Ash's story and K.A. Linde did not disappoint at all! She gave us an emotional redeeming story that had me rooting for the characters until the very end.

Forgive Me My Sins by Natasha Knight

This arranged marriage mafia romance is filled with sizzling moments, secrets and betrayals making it a definite must-read!

Just A Little Secret by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde

This series between Phillips and Wilde is one of my favorites, the characters were lovable and relatable. Their stories will leave you hooked from beginning to end! :)

Last Comes Fate by Nicole French

Frankie deserved her own story and French outdone herself in the Silver Spoon Trilogy. Xavier and Francesca come to their own and they get their happily-ever-after.

Romance Rules For Werewolves by Linsey Hall

This was such a heartwarming and cozy read! I would highly recommend it if you love witches, werewolves and magical towns. Hall's descriptive writing made the story that much more enjoyable to read as well. There was humor as well as lots of romantic scenes. Will definitely be reading more from the author in the future. (:

Unscripted With Mila by Melanie Moreland

Unscripted With Mila is the heartfelt conclusion to Moreland’s beloved Vested Interest: ABC Corp Series. This page-turning romance is about new beginnings that will pull at your heartstrings and never let go. I fell in love with the series a few years ago, so I was sad to hear when this would conclude the end to such great books. But I can say that Moreland did the characters justice and it truly brings everyone together for one last hurrah. I would highly recommend checking out this series as well as any other books by the author, it won't disappoint!

🔖 REVIEW BLITZ 🔖 Wait for Always by K.A. Linde

Wait for Always by K.A. Linde

Release Date: January 17th 2023 by K.A. Linde Inc.
Pages: 254
Genres: Romance, Contemporary

A stand alone brother's best friend romance about Ash Talmadge & Amelia Ballentine by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

Ash Talmadge is everything I shouldn’t want.

My brother’s best friend. A too charismatic, too attractive Southern gentleman. And obsessed with someone else.

But she’s finally out of the picture. I put two years between their break up just to be sure. This is finally my chance.

His focus is all on me. Exactly where I wanted it to be since high school when he saved me from humiliation. And after college when he finally realized I was more than just his best friend’s little sister.

There’s only one person who could ruin this for me.

I’ve waited this long.

I’m willing to wait for always.

My Review:

Wait for Always is the fourth book in the highly anticipated Coastal Chronicles Series. Ever since we met Ash Talmadge in Hold the Forevers, I’ve been wanting to read Ash’s story and Linde does not disappoint. This brother’s best friend story is the perfect friends to lovers romance that will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end.

There are few families that represent wealth and power in Savannah, and for Amelia being a Ballentine has given her access to a very privilege lifestyle. Among other things, having grown up with her brother’s best friend has made her off limits to Ash Talmadge no matter how much she wants him. He’s always been there for her when she needs him the most, always as a friend. From balls, graduations, break ups and to her store opening, Ash Talmadge has become a fixture in her life. But he loves someone else.

Throughout the ups and downs of his relationship, Amelia has been there to support him. But even she knows that his relationship is toxic and she tries putting distance between them. Yet, Ash keeps coming back to her, it would take a turn of events for his life to change the minute he gets left at the altar. Now that’s been two years since he parted ways from his ex, Ash is ready to give them a chance. Amelia is afraid that he might still hold feelings for his ex, but she’s waited so long for them to be together that she wonders if giving him a chance might be putting her heart on the line once again.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Wait for Always, it is mainly told in Amelia’s POV and it changes from past to present. We have fashion designer, Amelia Ballentine, go on a quest to try to move on from her feelings for Ash Talmadge. But keeps failing due to their close proximity and with him being her brother’s best friend. Being in each other’s lives makes it harder to move on, no matter how much she hates seeing him keep getting hurt in his relationship. It’s through her relationships that Amelia starts to see that she can do better and decides to move to Charleston in hopes of opening up a second store.

Then Ash comes and all her childhood dreams are in her hands, yet she is hesitant to give them a chance. Since she has seen the relationships around her not last. We get to see them grow and mainly see Amelia come to herself as the story progressed. I loved seeing cameos from some of Linde’s other series as well. Although the story can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading Hold the Forevers for a more detail background on Ash, since we only get to read Amelia’s POV in this story. The ending was sweet, although I wish the author could have extended the epilogue. All in all, if you’re looking for a great friends to lovers romance than I would highly recommend checking out Wait for Always.

***I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.***
