What a year it has been! Full of ups and downs, another year has concluded and it's time to look back at what we've read and today I'm rounding up my top ten books that I read in 2023.

Let me know what were some of your favorite books of 2023. Wishing everyone a happy New Year filled happiness, health and lots of books! 🎉

Here are my top ten books that I read in 2023 {In no particular order!}

Three to Get Ready by Skye Warren

I loved the conclusion to the One for the Money Trilogy! Warren did a great job with the story, it was swoon worthy and heart warming. One of those series that I will definitely be reading again!

MY REVIEW

Sincerely, Your Inconvenient Wife by Julia Wolf

The chemistry between the characters is off-the charts! Will definitely be reading more from the author in the future. :)

Gates of Paradise by Melissa De La Cruz

It took me a while to get to this book, but I can finally say that I have finished reading this amazing series. If you love vampires and Gossip Girl (the original show) then I would recommend checking out the books. The ending took by surprise, it was nostalgic and emotional. :)

I'll Always Be With You by Monica Murphy

This was my first read from Monica Murphy and it will certainly not be the last. I loved this book from beginning to end. We really get to see the characters develop over time and the ending was perfect for them. (:

Wait for Always by K.A. Linde

I was waiting for Ash's story and K.A. Linde did not disappoint at all! She gave us an emotional redeeming story that had me rooting for the characters until the very end.

Forgive Me My Sins by Natasha Knight

This arranged marriage mafia romance is filled with sizzling moments, secrets and betrayals making it a definite must-read!

→ MY REVIEW ←

Just A Little Secret by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde

This series between Phillips and Wilde is one of my favorites, the characters were lovable and relatable. Their stories will leave you hooked from beginning to end! :)

→ MY REVIEW ←

Last Comes Fate by Nicole French

Frankie deserved her own story and French outdone herself in the Silver Spoon Trilogy. Xavier and Francesca come to their own and they get their happily-ever-after.

Romance Rules For Werewolves by Linsey Hall

This was such a heartwarming and cozy read! I would highly recommend it if you love witches, werewolves and magical towns. Hall's descriptive writing made the story that much more enjoyable to read as well. There was humor as well as lots of romantic scenes. Will definitely be reading more from the author in the future. (:

Unscripted With Mila by Melanie Moreland

Unscripted With Mila is the heartfelt conclusion to Moreland’s beloved Vested Interest: ABC Corp Series. This page-turning romance is about new beginnings that will pull at your heartstrings and never let go. I fell in love with the series a few years ago, so I was sad to hear when this would conclude the end to such great books. But I can say that Moreland did the characters justice and it truly brings everyone together for one last hurrah. I would highly recommend checking out this series as well as any other books by the author, it won't disappoint!

My Review:

Love is worth fighting for in Warren’s last book in her One for the Money Trilogy, Three to Get Ready. This stunning page-turning conclusion will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end!

Birthright comes in many forms, whether it is with money/property or secrets. For Phineos “Finn” Galileo Hughes and Eva Honorata Morelli they are stuck with their birthrights whether they like it or not. Now that they are officially engaged, Eva is also bound to the Hughes family secrets as well. While her family is on crisis control after the news brakes about Finn’s family, all Eva wants to do is to be with him. But Finn has to do damage control or he’s at risk of losing his family’s legacy. After all the work that it took to keep the curse a secret, it’s all about to change for them. Eva has always been the one to take care of everyone around her, it’s her strength and weakness. Yet, she knew what she signed up for the minute she fell in love with Finn and Eva will keep fighting to keep him for as long as she can.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Three to Get Ready, it was such an emotional rollercoaster as we get to see Eva and Finn go through their biggest obstacle yet. Her biggest fear has slowly become a reality, but Eva is determined for face anything with Finn by her side. The Morellis and Hughes have to stand together as a family unit, which was great to see them interact as well. Warren did a great job with the writing while exploring sensitive topics as well. The ending was special and sweet. I cannot wait to get a glimpse of the characters in other future books if there are any more in the Midnight Dynasty world. I would highly recommend checking out the trilogy and any other book by the author, you won’t be disappointed! :)

***I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.***

🎉🌟 My Top TEN Most Anticipated Books of 2023! 🌟🎉

🎉 Happy New Year! 🎉

In my last post I featured my top ten books that I read in 2022, in today's post we're looking into what I'm looking forward to reading in the upcoming year (in no particular order). What are some of the books that you're most looking forward to reading in 2023? 😊

1.

The Specialist by Melanie Moreland

Egan Vulpe

Trained explosives expert. Gun for hire. Loner.
Until the day he falls in love.
He leaves the dangerous world he knows behind. He paints, owns a gym, and co-runs Elite Security.
In the past, he has worked with his friends at Hidden Justice, always staying behind the scenes.
But not far enough behind.
When the woman he loves is taken, his only recourse is to step back into a world of crime—this time on the wrong side of the law.
He knows he has only one choice.
Save her.
Or die trying.

2.

Hero's Risk by Gina Azzi

Nine years ago, Celine Hernandez broke my heart. Eight years ago, she stomped on it for good measure. When Celine moved to LA after high school, I enlisted in the Marines.

After an honorable discharge, I’m home, in Tennessee, living out my dream as a professional hockey player. Now, she’s back in our hometown, filming a movie, and reminding me of a past I’ve tried to forget.

She’s got her name up in lights. She’s shining so bright; she’s acting like she never left. Celine’s everywhere I go — visiting my Gran, having coffee dates with my sister — and forcing me to remember a time when life wasn’t so harsh. When I was whole and thriving. Happy.

But I can’t trust those feelings anymore. I’m not the same man Celine remembers. I’ve lost too much, grieved too hard, and am too broken down for do-overs.

Is my ex-everything a risk my heart can handle? Or is our second chance more sacrifice than salvation?

She is a genius scholar and a meticulous researcher who is writing the world's first encyclopaedia of faerie lore. But Emily Wilde is not good at people. She could never make small talk at a party--or even get invited to one. And she prefers the company of her books, her dog, Shadow, and the Fair Folk to other people.

So when she arrives in the hardscrabble village of Hrafnsvik, Emily has no intention of befriending the gruff townsfolk. Nor does she care to spend time with another new arrival: her dashing and insufferably handsome academic rival Wendell Bambleby, who manages to charm the townsfolk, get in the middle of Emily's research, and utterly confound and frustrate her.

But as Emily gets closer and closer to uncovering the secrets of the Hidden Ones--the most elusive of all faeries--lurking in the shadowy forest outside the town, she also finds herself on the trail of another mystery: Who is Wendell Bambleby, and what does he really want? To find the answer, she'll have to unlock the greatest mystery of all--her own heart.

With the stroke of a pen, twenty-three-year-old Ivy Radcliffe becomes Lady Hayworth, owner of a sprawling estate on the Yorkshire moors. Ivy has never heard of Blackwood Abbey, or of the ancient bloodline from which she’s descended. With nothing to keep her in London since losing her brother in the Great War, she warily makes her way to her new home.

The abbey is foreboding, the servants reserved and suspicious. But there is a treasure waiting behind locked doors—a magnificent library. Despite cryptic warnings from the staff, Ivy feels irresistibly drawn to its dusty shelves, where familiar works mingle with strange, esoteric texts. And she senses something else in the library too, a presence that seems to have a will of its own.

Rumors swirl in the village about the abbey’s previous owners, about ghosts and curses, and an enigmatic manuscript at the center of it all. And as events grow more sinister, it will be up to Ivy to uncover the library’s mysteries in order to reclaim her own story—before it vanishes forever.

Lush, atmospheric and transporting, The Last Heir to Blackwood Library is a skillful reflection on memory and female agency, and a love letter to books from a writer at the height of her power.

10.

Limited Edition Husband by Lauren Blakely

One night with no strings was supposed to be the plan.

After barely escaping my last train wreck of a romance, I’ve got a new dating goal—play it cool.

I stick to that strategy when I bump into a charming Brit I met once before. He’s newly out and eager for all the things he’s never done, so I make the helpful suggestion we jet off to the city of sin for the night, then say goodbye.

But instead, thanks to a bet and some bourbon, we’re saying I do.

And in the morning I’m asking myself what the hell have I done? But we’ll just undo the holy matrimony right this stinking second.

Except, the pics of our nuptials are splashed all over the Internet–the pro football player eloped!

Great, just great.

Now, my agent says we need to stay Mister and Mister until the brouhaha blows over.

Thirty days as fake husbands with the sexy, irresistible guy who’s determined to prove that he’s nothing like my ex?

My bruised heart can handle that as long as I don’t fall for my husband.

And I won't. When we split for real, he'll be an ocean away.

Contents include: A sarcastic, romance-phobic American football player, a charming and dirty-minded young British businessman, white-hot first times, dangerous decisions, and a sexy, witty, emotional fake marriage, first times MM standalone sports romance!
