When her traumatic past resurfaces, rocking her to the core, Mia questions her future.
Dash Stevens, a Lieutenant with the county fire department, is a widowed father to his daughter, Allie. After three long years, he’s come to terms with single fatherhood. He insists that Allie is the only girl he wants in his life.
Newly-neighbored on Bliss Cay, Dash and Mia’s worlds intertwine changing their lives forever. Will Mia get the answers she so desperately needs? Will Dash’s ambitious personality push her away or is his compassionate heart exactly what she needs to help her find them?
In Summer in Bliss, wit and drive meets tragedy. Can the hunky fire lieutenant help Mia face her past and put her life back together?

After doing several, he jumped up and did a round of high knees followed by jumping jacks. He repeated the circuit a few more times as his daughter built a sandcastle nearby.
“Huh, the man knows a good workout, I have to give it to him. He must do it often to have that body.” She muttered at the window.
Her hands flew to her mouth as Hope walked over and sat next to her. “I can’t believe I just said that.” She glanced at her companion who stood on all fours peering at her.
“Of course you want to go out now when there’s a half-naked, obnoxious man exercising in front of our house.” The dog danced around.
She sauntered down the steps while Hope led the way to the door. Grabbing the clean-up bags on the foyer table, Mia eyed herself in the mirror. Smoothing the sides of her hair, she put tinted sunscreen on her lips, all the while being stared down by her dog.
“Don’t judge. You know I like to protect my face…and my lips are part of this.”
Opening the door, she plucked the sunglasses from the table and followed her pooch to the grass in front of the house.
When Hope finished her business, Mia led the way across the bicycle path to the beach. Thankfully, her neighbor had vacated the front of her house.
Perusing each direction, she noticed Allie splashing in the water near their villa. Her gaze shifted inland by the dunes landing on shirtless Dash whose skin glistened in the sun.
Gawking for a second, she turned around and started to walk the other way when she heard a voice. “Hi Mia!”
She stopped in her tracks and turned to see the sweet smile closing the distance. “Well, hello Allie. How’s the water?”
“It’s so nice. Can Hope play with me?” Cutting her eyes to Dash, he flicked his head while extending and stretching his legs.
“Of course, as long as your dad doesn’t mind.”
“Will you come with me to ask him? And you two can talk and watch us play.” The brown eyed girl shrugged with a grin.
Muffling a sigh, she looked at her. “Um—sure let’s go.” She could see the excitement on the girl’s face.
As they approached, he stood with his hands propped on his well-defined hips. “I didn’t think we’d see you for a while.”
Before she could address his snarky remark, Allie asked, “Daddy, can I play with Hope in the water? Please?”
He eyed Mia as a corner of his mouth curled up before turning back to his daughter. “Well, since you asked this time then yes, you can. Keep an eye on the waves, okay?”
She and the dog took off running as she yelled, “Thank you! I will!”
Dash chuckled at her while Mia offered, “I’ll keep an eye on them if you want to go do…whatever.”
The man snickered. “Is that your not so subtle way of telling me you don’t want to be around me?”
