Emerson LeBlanc lost more than an acquisition. He lost the woman he loves.
There’s no redemption for a man with his past. No future for a relationship built on stalking and kidnapping. At least that’s what he believes. When he meets Daphne again, she’s not a piece of art. She’s a woman determined to paint a new path. For herself. For him. Except the ocean holds more than shadows. It holds danger that could ruin them both.

My Review:
It’s an unexpected turn of events that forces Daphne Morelli to part ways with the enigmatic art collector, Emerson LeBlanc. After he kidnaps her to add her to his personal collection, it becomes Daphne’s goal to escape at any rate. However, things quickly begin to change as she starts to see a different side to Emerson that only she can relate to. Emerson’s world has turned a different color when he is with Daphne. Yet, no matter how hard he wants her to find someone better for her. It becomes clear that Daphne is not about to let him walk away. But just as they are about to give themselves a chance at a forever, someone closer to Emerson threatens to separate them again. This time Emerson is ready to give whatever it takes to get back the love of his life, before it’s too late.
I truly enjoyed reading Last Resort! The book itself felt stronger than the last two books, where we were slowly getting to know the characters and their intentions. Now the story felt a lot less dark, there is more action and sweeter moments between Daphne and Emerson. There is also a lot more depth in the story as we get to find out more about their families as well and how they might be just similar in a lot of ways. Daphne’s view of her dad changes and there is finally an understanding between at the end. The ending was everything! It worked really well in the story and with the characters. It was a sweet ending and I couldn’t recommend this book enough. :)
